It is largely a known entity, and for those of you who are familiar with the game and want to play again should definitely consider this version. Those of you not in the know, I hope that this brief rundown of the game was enough to entice Star Wars and D&D fans. Knights of the Old Republic is a game that any fan of Western RPGs should give a chance.

I can't hide my love for Alien Breed even if the story isn't more advanced than that found in Doom, or other shooters.

The Room is a must have for the iPad 2/New iPad with the best puzzles, and puzzle mechanics of 2012. Everything about the game is polished, and highly compelling. I can't think of a better place to escape to when you are looking for your keys for the third time in a day

If you want to have a really fun game that takes the excellent gameplay of Boom Blox combined with a good physics engine you can't go wrong with Save Toshi.

A perfect fit for iOS, with gameplay that is suitable for the five minute break, or the three hour train trip. It takes line-drawing gameplay to another level, and injects the genre with a level based system.

Year Walk isn’t for everyone, as it is far from a casual experience and it takes a lot of effort from the player to get into it. For those who manage to immerse themselves completely this is one of the greatest games ever on iOS. For those who don’t it is a waste of time, and money.

Mini Squadron is a fantastic shooter. Combining a retro feel, with something that feels fresh and new. Add in great pick-up-and-play gameplay and a hectic multiplayer experience (local only), and I can't recommend it enough for shooter fans.

It doesn't quite offer the same originality in gameplay as Bit Trip beat, but it's attack on your senses will knock your socks off, and more than makes up for it. Beautiful!

Not enough is added to the moment to moment gameplay to combat the game's pacing problems, but I wouldn't discourage fans of tower defense from enjoying this colorful, if typical, tower defense romp.

WarGames: WOPR has almost everything in my opinion. Great gameplay, great old-school presentation and a story that is worth following. The only thing lacking that I would love to see is some kind of asynchronous multiplayer.

Sure, gameplay may not provide the most innovative or exciting experience, and the race design and units leave something to be desired, but it's the most solid RTS game I've played on my iPhone, and one that's actually fun to play online!

The game is a success for the most part, and despite the teething problems outlined above, the game is thoroughly enjoyable.

Infinity Blade turns the traditional RPG on it's head, and although I admit that it may not be for everyone, for me it is one of the best game on the iOS thus far, and it's just getting started.

The electronic nature of Eclipse for iPad made it possible for me to appreciate this deep, fulfilling board game.

Overall, Blast A Way is great puzzle game. It's beautifully presented, but more importably its fresh and challenging, with that all important 'one more try' factor.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective gripped me right away, and held me in a strong grip for more than eight hours. Finding out what had happened soon became something I pondered when making dinner, or riding my bike to work. Few games has this effect on me, but this NDS classic certainly has the story few games can rival.

The lack of extra artwork and developer's commentary is disappointing. Still an impressive effort on the small screen, but not all that it could have been.

Yes, the battles do become repetitive, especially in regards to their presentation, but there is still a huge feeling of accomplishment when you defeat a ship through both great battle strategy and lightning gesture reflexes!

Dead Space is the best action game I've ever played on an iOS device. It's the first time I've felt like a mobile version of a game has had as much developer love put into it as it's console counterpart.

Sentinel 3: Homeworld is a marvellous tower defense game. It caters more to the already initiated strategist, and it demands your time and effort. For newcomers the lack of story might deter the interest.

Yes! this is heavily influenced by Geometry Wars, both in terms of gameplay and look and feel. But if clones are this good, and perhaps even better than the original source material, then a little bit of unoriginality isn't always a bad thing.

I was surprised how feature rich and fun Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy is. It wasn't the rush-to-market demo for the next iPad I thought it would be. Instead, it's a rip roaring, action packed ride. It puts realism firmly on the back seat in favour of thrills, and in doing so becomes somewhat of a spiritual successor to Afterburner. Great fun.
