Holy crap can this game be good, but just as easily and twice and often, it's so bad you'll hate yourself for retrying that race for the 20th time. If only the challenge were eased off just a bit more, this game would have been a must-have.

Those who want to get deep into the game, have a wealth of options at their disposal however. Some of the frustrating bugs, such as rigged pit stops, questionable scripted A.I. and corrupt save issues might be enough to give pause, but Codemasters has acknowledged the problems, and as of writing this review are working on a patch.

Once again, despite Roger Ebert, a game finds a way to blend art and gameplay together in a fun and accessible way. Sound Shapes isn't really like anything else, and that's a shame because more games could stand to experiment like this.

This is a love it or hate it game. No game out there frustrates me as much as this title but I keep coming back to it for just one more fight. Trust me when I say there are going to be times you want to snap the disc in half though.

Simply put, this isn't a Resident Evil game as the series has built it up. It's an action game and almost nothing else.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. For those of us who aren't into portables it's always deflating to miss out on a part of a series. Thankfully we can now enjoy both of these games at their absolute best.

A solid action platformer that can challenge both your reflexes and your mind is enhanced with some clever writing and a bold art style.

The champion stays on top for now with their strongest effort yet. NBA 2K14 combines the rock-solid gameplay of the series with a great new control scheme and a fun LeBron-centric new mode that will suck you in.

Resident Evil 4 HD unfortunately isn't the remaster it could have been, and its upscaled textures and lack of Move support are more than a little annoying. However, in the end this is still one of the greatest games ever made.

You know when you see that guy in the Porsche convertable with the bad combover trying to drag race everyone at the stop light? It's called overcompensation, and we've got a pretty bad case of it right here.

I really hope that other fighting game developers are taking note as to what was done here. Because as a fan of the genre this is what I want to see more of: fun fighting, great story and less extra junk. And Mortal Kombat has done this VERY well!

Devil May Cry 4 does exactly what the series has been trying to do since the first game: it recaptures the careful balance of light puzzles, tight, varied action, over-the-top cutscenes and clever little boss encounters, all starring a pair of smart-mouthed, swaggering dyed-in-the-wool action flick caricatures.

A great start to what should be a fantastic series. Telltale nailed the atmosphere and did a fantastic job of making the player feel as though their choices have meaning. Can't wait to see where things go to next.

This is more or less "Ace Combat 4" with a few slight upgrades and gameplay honed to near-perfection, but the formula's just a bit too familiar, and the lengthy missions may turn less patient gamers off before the story can suck them in.

I never thought I'd see the day I gave a Gran Turismo game less than a 9. And then GT PSP happened. The disappointment continues, but it's abated by what I can only hope are continued, frequent updates.

If you think beat-em-ups are dead, you need to play this game. If you don't, you need to play this game. If you just don't care, you need to play this game.

The extra goodies offset the lower framerate and iffy multiplayer. The core problem still hasn't changed, though, and if you tire of the same thing easily, you're going to be even more turned off by what the PSP version offers.

At a nice price point and providing a polished product, Lara Croft makes a triumphant return from semi-obscurity. Clever level and challenge design with the promise of more to come makes this a contender for PSN Game of the Year status.

Through innovative use of the nigh-ubiquitous Havok physics engine, a decent (if rather clichéd) storyline, and some impressively well fleshed-out game design, Midway has managed to create a game that offers something different, but more importantly, a whole hell of a lot of fun.

There is no better value for your buck than getting a game that supports HUNDREDS of hours of play time, and Disgaea 2 does that. The sheer amount of character building and fantastic humor all make for a game that you WANT to play for that long too.

I'm taking a big risk rating the game as high as it is right now, and if for some reason things aren't worked out in the next week or two, this score is going to drop like a rock, but when the game works, it's absolutely amazing. Here's hoping makes it.

Zero Escape is the very definition of a niche title. If you have experience with visual novels you'll be in love with the game, and if you like puzzles and don't mind a LOT of narrative it's still great. If you want nonstop action, move along!

A highly polished gameplay foundation makes Vanquish a title well worth playing, even if it's over far too quickly, something that unfortunately cannot be said of its cliche laden story and incredibly annoying character dialogue.

An extended (and actual) single-player campaign that'll keep you busy for days while taking you on a tour of a galaxy far, far away helps balance out an uneven online experience that's amazing when it's good.

I've never been so happy to be so angry with a game. The peanut butter/chocolate combo took this long to be combined why, now? You know what, it doesn't matter. You need this game -- even if you think you don't. Just be ready with the blood pressure meds.

I can't find a single gripe with the game. The control is absolutely perfect (wait till you feel the transition from road to water, it's awesome), the sound is great, the interface is clean and gorgeous.

Thanks to an interesting trading system and the promise of literally hours and hours of extra gameplay-unlocked goodies, an improved system for absorbing and applying souls and perfectly executed graphical and aural treats as so few developers in this industry can really deliver, the game is simply too good to miss.
