Although Blinx has its flaws, it is innovative and unusual enough to make it a worthy purchase.

If you’re after a well–polished and accurate basketball simulator for solo play only, then NBA 2K3 is a good choice, but most people will be better off going for "NBA Street."

Whilst definitely not monumental, it’s a fair distraction that’s in need of a bit of a boost.

But the worst crime of all is the dynamics – or rather, lack of them. You can plough into a police car at top speed, and mostly come to a grinding halt.

The most obvious problem is the handling, which feels more like you’re controlling a breezeblock than a car, and this carries right through to the crash dynamics, which are now virtually non-existent.

The game’s coup de grace, however, lies in the intelligence of the other characters you encounter.

Combine all your assassination fantasies together, illuminate them with the cinematography of "The Godfather" and this is what you get. Pure class.

Although this hackneyed plot does have its high points, the game unfolds at a treacherously slow pace.

A truly addictive piece of videogaming...A guaranteed hit!

It really does feel like being there, or at least watching it on the television in the early hours of the morning, without having to stay up late.

A slick hockey game that delivers all of the action, realism and play modes fans of the series and the sport could want. As ever though, this latest edition in the series plays, by and large, like the other nine.

The Gulf War, and modern warfare, is a tough topic to tackle and sadly this game just doesn’t go far enough to explore the war or the opportunities of a unique team system. A missed opportunity.

This is one of the fastest, most intense racing games we’ve played on any system and makes rival games look absolutely sedate by comparison.

Sounds good dosen’t it…? And it is! The visuals are bright and colourful (despite the opening level being rather drab) and the happy-go-lucky background music suits the whimsical nature of the game perfectly.

Sure, there are some flaws but you can have some good fun edging your way through the missions and the Co-op mode is a godsend.

The only downside to the visual experience is the terrible crowd – but the game is so fast your eye is on the puck at all times so you won’t notice it too much unless you’re into watching replays a lot.

Sadly, Shadow Of Apokolips just isn’t adventurous enough and offers little new or fun to both the Superman fan and game fan alike. More games like this and he could find himself back in the grave.

It looks wonderful, plays like a dream and deserves a place in the games collection of any self-respecting strategy fan immediately.

Unfortunately, the slightly awkward camera angles can make it tricky to see where enemy shots are coming from, which is very frustrating in the heat of combat.

It’s fast and quite good fun for the first few levels, but a complete lack of variety causes you to repeat the same thing over and over again, just with tighter time limits in place. Boredom sets in quickly.

An unremarkable title that whilst potentially sound in concept (aside from the gratuitous use of a female lead), completely fails to deliver in terms of providing any kind of thrills.

The engine is slick and the action thick... Just know that the gameplay mechanics throughout fail to present the depth needed to truly engage long-term.

Cooper is without doubt the best character we’ve had the pleasure of meeting on the PS2 so far. If only the rascal would stay around for longer so we could get to grips with him better.

A few small sub quests (such as delivering a message for someone) do not lift the title out of the sea of mediocrity it’s floating in.

We loved this game. Whatever type of player you are, you'll love it. Mario at his absolute best. BUT – and this is a big but (think Jennifer Lopez here) we can't help but feel ripped off.

It’s the closest thing to a vaguely taxing "Banjo Kazooie" -style adventure we might ever get.

Granted, the gameplay may become a little repetitive after a while, but for a quick blast of colourful, quirky fun, this game has got it covered.

It's strange but there is something even more satisfying about capping a stranger on Live than there is killing a friend sat next to you.
