The Juiced of 2005 is virtually unrecognisable from the Juiced of 2004, and quite frankly it puts "Need For Speed Underground" to shame.

This is aimed at the younger player so don’t expect too much, but it remains a solid introduction to the genre that’s easy to get into and fun to play.

    An enjoyable yet unoriginal game.

The quests quickly repeat themselves and some of the larger creatures are nigh impossible to take down alone. Even so, it's a remarkably unique and thorough title and if you're online with your PS2, there's no reason for you not to get a taste for cold blood and take the hunt online. There really is nothing else quite like it.

It's certainly not bad, but several annoying points prevent it from being truly great.

It's as if Overworks were so proud of their bland, boxy environments that they thought the camera would be put to much better use tracking the grey blocks that constitute 'the world' than actually following the gameplay. If you can actually call it that.

The most obvious problem is the handling, which feels more like you’re controlling a breezeblock than a car, and this carries right through to the crash dynamics, which are now virtually non-existent.

The element most central to the game - combat - is very flawed and completely un-strategic. As such, Throne of Darkness fails to be anything more than mediocre.

Main problem: you can only fire your Batgrapple at specific points...We wanted the freedom of Tenchu and all we received was a hook through the nose with a finger pulling us the right way.

Driven really takes a step forward in playability by actually injecting intelligence, plot and emotion into the traditionally faceless racing genre.

Even with the addition of downloadable content via Live (more than likely roster updates), and some inventive cheat modes that can be acquired such as big heads, big feet and various gameplay enhancing modes, NBA Jam is unlikely to be at the top on anyone's shopping list.

A few flashy new moves hardly compensate for the lack of subtlety and polish that was so evident in the original title.

Just as T3 was a juvenile-friendly selection of set pieces pulled wholesale from previous Terminator movies, The Redemption feels like cobbled together moments from the videogame archive with a Terminator spin.

Shows a total lack of innovation and desire to improve the gaming experience, but it does have cute animals in it. If you can accept the fact that you are here to manage tigers rather than whatever the focus is in any other management game then you can have a lot of fun.

Another disappointment is the hardcore matches, where instead of the huge selection of weapons we were looking forward to using and abusing, we were presented only with a couple of chairs.

A top-notch beat-’em-up...The only problem that really exists with the game aren’t really Capcom’s fault at all – yep, it’s the controller. [Import]

The end result is that we get another decent Medal Of Honor Game set in the same Medal Of Honor mould when everyone knows that if your going to survive in the jungle you're going to have to adapt to survive.

This entire concept is ridiculous. Why, oh why is your team so rubbish? Falco is supposed to be an 'Ace Pilot' for crying out loud. Your team is supposed to be the galaxy's last, best hope, yet they can't even shoot more than two enemies on any given level. They may as well not even be there and save us the worry.

The ease of moves and the accessibility of the characters makes Guilty Gear X the complete opposite of titles like King of Fighters : Neoblood. If you are no fan of pedantic games, but enjoy a good scrap then this game is definitely for you.

The main problem with Bounty Hunter is that it won’t be long before you’ve seen everything the game has to offer and it’s not the sort of adventure that you’re likely to want to play through more than once.

It’s hard not to enjoy No One Lives Forever, it’s difficult not to laugh and need to see the next colourful level. But once you stop, it’s very hard to get excited by what is an essentially a very shallow, but fun game.

If you can get past the pastel coloured craziness of it all, then Dragon Ball Z: Budokai provides a decent enough challenge – just don’t be expecting another Tekken 4 and this should find favour.

Time consuming and considering the lack of alternatives, quite good at what it does. But it fails to seamlessly merge the combat and trading that Elite did so well and is, to put it bluntly, a bit on the dull side.
