Bottom line: Get this game. If you’re a newcomer to the series and have been curious as to what everyone’s raving about, give this a shot. The AI may be brutal in later levels, but the learning curve and well-crafted Practice Mode will serve you well.

For those of you that are considering adding Jam Sessions to your collection, be warned: this is not a game. Instead, it’s a program that basically turns your DS into a makeshift guitar. It fulfils that job well; the sound is remarkably crisp and accurate, the controls are easy to pick up, and some guitarists might appreciate all of the little tweaks and customizations available. But when it comes to the other gameplay aspects, Jam Sessions falls flat.

This is a pick-up-and-play game in its purest form, albeit with a uniquely tropical control set-up that hasn’t been utilised anywhere else before, sans its neglected prequel.

It doesn’t matter what kind of artistic talent you may or may not have... absolutely anyone can be proud of the products of their imagination.

Perhaps the series peaked with 2K7, after-all, there can only be so many variations on Pong before someone runs out of ideas, or the waters become over saturated.

Even though it isn't a direct adaptation of a film, Stranglehold is probably the best example of a movie-based game to date.

Despite my few complaints, Airborne is still an excellent game. From start to finish, I was absolutely hooked and couldn’t stop playing.

What limited time you do have with Garfield is actually surprisingly entertaining, and though it doesn’t really use the source material very well, this is still a good 2D platformer that platforming fans should check out, whether they like Garfield or not.

What is certain though is that Streets of Rage 2 is a classic title that fully deserves to be revived and remembered in modern day gaming. Now, pass me the pain relief and I’ll be on my way.

If you've got a PS3 and an online connection, it'd be silly to miss out.

If you must complete every game you play, then don’t bother. Still haven't found anyone on Xbox LIVE or on public message boards who has even claimed to have completed the game 100%.

There is no denying that Corruption lacks the substance that made its prequels so awesome. Despite the near-perfect motion controls, the experience just isn't as exciting anymore.
