    Even though Fatal Fury was never as well regarded as Street Fighter II, they're still excellent games.

    Fatal Fury deserves its place in the higher echelons of videogame culture and it deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the other greats that we all know and love. It's a shame that this release has come at the end of the PS2's life, when a lot of people have gotten rid of their console for bigger and better things.

    A neat collection, but the games themselves aren't the best around. But if you're a diehard fan of 2D fighters, we recommend picking it up. In the meantime, you'll have to excuse me. I'm going to go practice my Burning Knuckle!

    Fatal Fury Special is the cornerstone of this collection. If that means anything to you, Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1 might be worth a look.

    This game is what it is. Arcade perfect (well to my inspection) Fatal Fury one is as good and as crappy as I remember it and the only reason This game is what it is. But never the less, these games can be enjoyed, at least for those whom remember them in arcades in 1991-93. Damn, I'm getting old...… Expand

A great opportunity to relive some of the glory days of 2D spritework. But the first two collections released (Art of Fighting Anthology/Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1) are aged games that have not suffered kindly to the sands of time. Fatal Fury Battle Archives is definitely a stronger collection than Art of Fighting Anthology, but even still, it will be hard for gamers to appreciate what the titles in this series represent and the history the games serve. It's a solid release, but I just can't help but to expect more.… Expand
