Ultimately, World Championship Boxing Manager 2 swings and misses with its simple, yet repetitive, boxing management sim. Sure, it’s a streamlined experience that’s easy to delve into, but in no time at all you’ll realise there's a monotonous gameplay loop and a lack of substance.- TheXboxHub

I just couldn’t bring myself to play A Clareira for long stretches. It swings, pendulum-like, between too-easy and impossible.- TheXboxHub

For now, Crackdown 3 has a great action-oriented gameplay foundation, but not the polish and/or memorable experience to back it up. If you’re a Crackdown fan, then you should definitely play it. If not, then you probably shouldn’t.- TheXboxHub

Talking Tom Candy Run on Xbox One is a competent endless runner and perfect as an entry-point for young players who might recognise the titular Tom. For more critical players, though, you’ll feel your hackles rise at the laziness of a free-to-play game dressed up as something paid for.- TheXboxHub

Element Space on Xbox One is a game that apes two of the giants of sci-fi gaming – X-COM and Mass Effect – and instead of using this as inspiration and building on them, instead tries to ride two horses and ultimately ends up falling down the gap in the middle.- TheXboxHub

If you’re after a racer, then maybe head towards one of last year’s many releases, you know, like the incredible Forza Horizon 4. As for Xenon Racer, it doesn’t match up with modern racers and is sadly one that will probably be forgotten pretty sharpish.- TheXboxHub

With a little more care put into the tutorial and explanation side of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, the card based gameplay could well have been a lot of fun, but that fun is nipped in the bud sadly.- TheXboxHub

At the end of the day I just can’t see any reason why any gamer – or bike fan for that matter – would want to fork out on a game that is pretty much a carbon copy of the game that came before it, and of the one before that. For that reason, recommending a purchase of Tour de France 2020 on Xbox One is a seriously hard push.- TheXboxHub

Odallus: The Dark Call on Xbox One is a promising retro title that is hamstrung by woolly controls and a stupidly massive hitbox for your character.- TheXboxHub

Butterfly on Xbox is an average puzzle platformer that doesn’t do enough to catch your eye. It will only set you back a few quid, but doesn’t do enough to stand out from the crowd.- TheXboxHub

Wells isn’t an entirely terrible game and anyone looking for a simple platformer, or those looking for an easy boost to their Gamerscore, will be more than set with what it holds. But if you’re looking for an adventure that offers any form of engagement that stretches beyond the first level then you will certainly want to look elsewhere.- TheXboxHub

QUByte Classics – The Immortal by PIKO on Xbox is a restoration of a weird and interesting retro game, which by no means is a classic by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not the kind of game you want to go out of your way to experience, as it’s not a must play title from yesteryear.- TheXboxHub

With sluggish and unresponsive combat, all of which fails to match the overall speed of the game, Bloody Zombies isn’t the best thing you’ll be playing this year.- TheXboxHub

Zombie Vikings is a fun game for the first few hours. It is a joy to look at as the art style is, as expected from Zoink! Games, stunning. Sadly the story wasn’t exciting enough to keep me gripped and the jokes always fell flat, which was a shame.- TheXboxHub

As an absolutely mindless time killer, Lord of the Click II cannot be criticised. Yet for near everything else, it can. There's no requirement of skill, no need to worry about tactics or strategy and certainly nothing that will cause concern to anyone who is familiar with a controller. It really is a waste of time. But then, perhaps that's the point…- TheXboxHub

Those who have a love for these types of games may find some enjoyment, but if you’re looking to jump into a classic ‘brick breaking game’ for the first time, then you would be better off looking elsewhere.- TheXboxHub

As a whole, this is a disjointed RPG adventure with all of its parts struggling to be held together, ultimately coming across as an upscaled mobile RPG finding it difficult to perform on Xbox One.- TheXboxHub

Collie Call has some good ideas for its Sokoban puzzling, but fails to do anything worthwhile with them. Sure, it’s cheap, however it’s also short, far too easy, and only really good for boosting your Gamerscore.- TheXboxHub

FullBlast is an average scrolling shooter that will provide enjoyment for an hour or two. The main problem is that it is far too easy, and its ideas are consistently being stretched too thin. It doesn’t do anything new or different, and what it does do doesn’t quite add up to the full package.- TheXboxHub

There’s nothing inherently wrong with being a punishing game. In fact, there’s a lot of enjoyment to be had in failing and then trying something new and seeing yourself improve. But Despotism 3k feels like one without the other. It’s punishing, but comes without the chance to improve. It feels like a game entirely at the mercy of RNG.- TheXboxHub

Survivor Mercs feels like a gift from well-meaning grandparents. It's well wrapped and you can tell there's good intentions, but once you start digging into it you realize it isn't what you asked for. When there are so many Survivor-like games already available, Survivor Mercs' ideas cannot save it from the boring gameplay and convoluted systems which make it just another casualty.- TheXboxHub

Lethal League tries to take dodgeball to the extreme, turning it into a fighting game which runs at a ruthless pace. If you’re happy to play rounds that generally last for a few hits at a time, then you’re in luck, but anyone like me will grow bored of the ‘whack, whack, next round’ procedure over and over again. Allowing for slight variation in hits and having special abilities helps to a certain degree, but for there to be any longevity, one must distinguish what’s going on when the pace quickens to get the most out of it.- TheXboxHub

One half of LoBlocks is more enjoyable than we anticipated. The other half is far, far worse. Where does that leave us? If you can hold a hand over one eye as you pick from the game menu, then there’s a devious little puzzler to be had in its Classic Mode. Just don’t look at the other half, the Arcade Mode, which is a half-formed little growth that could probably do with being sliced off.- TheXboxHub

Sleepin’ Deeply on Xbox is attempting to be funny with the main character being a drunk and the level designs being as wacky as they are, but for me it’s just not humorous; a bumbling alcoholic walking around burping and mopping up poop just doesn’t do it for me. But you may find that stuff hilarious, and if you do then Sleepin’ Deeply might be just the game for you.- TheXboxHub

For anyone interested in the setting, there is a rather good, if flawed, turn-based strategy game out there on the PC which is available to purchase. Otherwise, I’d suggest getting out your D20s and giving the tabletop RPG a go and, sadly, giving Noble Armada: Lost Worlds on Xbox a wide berth.- TheXboxHub

STONE on the Xbox One compares itself to films such as The Big Lebowski and Inherent Vice, and in the odd moments it is. But even in a game that is barely two hours long, these moments are too far apart, and the filler is very disappointing.- TheXboxHub

It’s hard to make a case for the goofy but messy RICO London. It only has one trick - breaching and clearing rooms in glorious slow motion - and while that trick is fun, it’s not enough to hold up this mid-budget FPS roguelike.- TheXboxHub
