    Super Smash Bros. Brawl
    The graphics are beautiful, the audio is clear, the online system is one of the best on the Wii in over a year and a half, the stages are varied, the mini-game experiences are time-consuming, the trophies are endless, the game is much more balanced and the new items are a blast.

    This game sets the standard for family interaction. Allowing a second player to control the star pointer as a means of easing them into the gameplay, or just to allow another person to share in the experience, works brilliantly.

    Does Twilight Princess surpass Ocarina of Time? Again, depends on your perspective, but this latest Zelda is bigger and deeper in every way imaginable, so I'm inclined to say yes.

    Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
    A well-designed port of an incredible game, and I fully support more people being able to enjoy such a visceral experience. It's visually and sonically polished, it's scary and intense, it has great replay value, and its flaws are significantly outweighed by its successes.

    Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
    One of the best games made for the Wii so far. It combines the puzzle-solving adventure of Twilight Princess with the varied environments of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, but still incorporates originality in the point-and-click gameplay and seemingly endless fun activities.

    No More Heroes
    This is an experience people been waiting to have on the Wii for a long time - heart-pounding, sword-slashing, sword-parrying, suplex-flailing motions with a light saber, sorry, beam katana in hand. It may not be 1:1 ratio motion, but the experience can be just as exhaustingly fun.

    Trauma Center: New Blood
    The controls continue to be a showcase for the console and really exploit the strength of the platform. The developers should be applauded for continuing to think outside the box and keep the franchise fresh and exciting.

    NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
    For buyers of the game, it is a great experience and incentive to replay again and again. For those who hated collecting all of the stars in Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy, however, this game could prove to be a wonderful rental and nothing more.

    Madden NFL 08
    If you're a serious football fan, you need this game. The increased pre-snap options on defense and the more aggressive secondary AI make the game much more balanced, and the Weapons make finding and exploiting mismatches easier than ever before.

    Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
    This game is a must-have for Wii-only gamers. Bring your friends over, turn the volume up to 11, and dream of being on stage. Maybe you, too, can stand atop Mount Olympus with guitar in hand jamming out to Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames.

    Great game. Easily among my favorite games, but could be improved considering the true potential of the Wii. Nevertheless, The Sims 2: Castaway manages an experience that surpasses the GameCube iterations in every way.

    While the Super Swing Golf series still dominates the greens on Wii, hopefully the developers will put more time in between editions so as to focus on improving the swing mechanic and visuals, while incorporating online features for a truly worthwhile experience.

    A solid offering that requires both reflexes and strategy skills. If you're a a strategy enthusiast looking for something of faster pace, or a trigger-happy gamer looking for a bit more depth and humor, do consider this game.

    The best way to explain the fun of this game is like a Mario Bros. game. Sure you can beat it in a half hour, the stages are simple, the gameplay can be repetitive for the number of times played, and the feeling is almost oversimplified after a few rounds, but there's still that something that keeps players coming back to it.

    Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
    Tenkaichi 2 and Tenkaichi 3 come out roughly the same. Enough mild improvements with enough losses means an equal experience. This is rather problematic for the consumer, who would probably rather spend less money on a similar game experience with no drastic improvements and minor fixes to problems in the latest version.

    Gameplay is frantic, the presentation has been noticeably improved, and there's enough strategy for players to develop a style, which they can then show off online. All in all, it's a notable score for team Mario.

    The Umbrella Chronicles is mainly fanservice and doesn't do anything particularly innovative. There's no online integration and the Wii Zapper doesn't add anything significant to the experience. The shooting controls are tight and responsive, and the game makes better on the console's power than many third-party titles, but that's the extent of it.

Animal Crossing has been known to capture the attention of players for months on end - those who can look past the load times might find the same value in MySims. If you are not the person described above, consider a rental.
