Dragon’s Dogma shines on the new consoles in its final form, free from the limitations of old hardware. It aged pretty well, and still manages to offer a challenging and intriguing gameplay. Content-wise, there's really nothing new compared to the first release of 2012.- The Games Machine

A crazy mix between Monopoly and Magic The Gathering, Culdcept Revolt is an amazing and addictive game, though you must be prepared to very, very long and slow gaming sessions which badly fit an handheld device.- The Games Machine

RUINER is surely a title not suitabile for everyone because of its top-down shooter mechanics; it's easy to learn, but very, very hard to master. The solid cyberpunk setting gives the game a dark-neon atmosphere that perfectly fits around the gameplay: this should be enough to turn on the attention of the genre lovers.- The Games Machine

Cuphead is a small, wonderful gem (albeit not a long one), with a truly unique art direction and a real challenging difficulty. It's not for everyone, but it will be an absolute joy for whomever is willing to take up the challenge.- The Games Machine

Psychic Specters is a sort of YO-KAI WATCH 2 Definitive Edition, that adds more and more contents: a perfect game for those who haven't played the main game yet, dispensable for everyone else.- The Games Machine

A bunch of new maps sniper-oriented and a new game mode is the proposal of In the name of the Tsar, an essential purchase for Battlefield addicted players, but exclusively for them.- The Games Machine

Rock of Ages 2 is a typical "more of the same" and provides a lot of fun, until you discover that the dish gets empty in a little bit more than an afternoon. Surely, such a fortunate architecture should have deserved more content.- The Games Machine

Despite its stand-alone nature, Death of the Outsider is a sort of DLC with a simplified gameplay that can be fully understood if you have played both the first and the second episode of the series only. Anyhow, if you are addicted to Arkane Studio's works, you'll find yourself at home.- The Games Machine

FIFA 18 improves the previous game in every aspect, with the Frostbite engine which takes animation and physics to a brand new level of quality. The gameplay is fun and lets you play a wonderful offensive football, while the new full manual defense is quite harsh to manage. Overall, the game offers a huge and deep football experience, thanks to a solid single player (with the new Career mode and the awesome second season of The Journey) and endless multiplayer action.- The Games Machine

Narrative tells us a touching story in a proper way, but this is the only good point. Fragments of Him is a walking simulator with poor interaction and with some technical problems that can't be ignored.- The Games Machine

Fall of Light is a strange mix between ICO and Dark Souls. The narrative plot works in a proper way, while the battle system is not as deep as it should have been, though it doesn't show big defects.- The Games Machine

Super Hydorah is an old-school shoot'em up full of surprises, and it's incredibly polished. Fun, challenging, and rewarding, the new game from Locomalito is a must have for all the old gamers out there. Beware, though: it's really tough.- The Games Machine

Killing Harmony is the best Danganronpa ever made. The developers fixed most of the issues of the previous chapters, adding a lot of new stuff, making the game even more fun and enjoyable. The Board Game and RPG modes are simply great, and together with the new School mode offer a huge endgame. A must have for all the fans of the series, and the perfect starting point for newcomers.- The Games Machine

Giving a score to a game like Destiny 2 is a difficult task: on one hand, the new game from Bungie offers a variety of content so huge, it literally makes your head spin; on the other hand, here and there something is missing, and it often seems like something you'll find in a future expansion or DLC. Anyway, a truly amazing game.- The Games Machine

X-Morph: Defense is an interesting experiment, a hybrid formula that combines the tower defense genre with the past-paced action of twin-stick shooters. The gameplay is great, but there are still some annoying technical problems that need to be addressed as soon as possible, in order for the game to reach its full potential.- The Games Machine

Absolver offers a truly unique take on the combat genre, with a peculiar mix between single and multiplayer. Technically solid and visually inspired, it suffers from a sometimes confused level design and the absence of a real, high-level endgame.- The Games Machine

Rayman Legends, exactly like its predecessor, is one of the best platform ever made. On Nintendo Switch, especially on the portable console, it's even better. The only reason to avoid it is if you already played it elsewhere.- The Games Machine

A new defensive approach, a new mode and a bunch of fixes are just a few of the spearheads of NBA 2K18, a game that's very easy to learn, but very very difficult to master indeed. The best title of the series without any doubt, and one of the best sports titles published thus far.- The Games Machine

PES 2018 is like the Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde of videogames: troubled when played offline, very good when played online. There are some setbacks as far as AI and referees are concerned, but that doesn't seem to affect the online community. A game definitely worthy of your attention, especially if you mostly play online.- The Games Machine

Finally, after a disappointing Wii U version, Pokkén Tournament achieves its full potential. The single player mode is still a simple sequence of matches, but there are many alternative modes and new characters to keep you busy. And if you have some friends to play with, that's just the cherry on top.- The Games Machine

Project CARS 2 is still a rough diamond, but with a couple of patches Slightly Mad Studios could unleash all the potential of a real racing sim gem. Out of the box, anyway, the game offers one of the best race experiences on the market, with a great driving model which is amazing, played both with a joypad and a racing wheel. Sometimes the AI is still too aggressive and hits too hard on the throttle even when it should not, and the Rallycross experience is quite clumsy, but overall, with this great offer of tracks and cars, if you love to race in every possible weather condition and you want to feel the real meaning of bagarre, Project CARS 2 is definitely your brutal, physical and thrilling racing game.- The Games Machine

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is all but infinite, with a skimpy roster and pretty dull aesthetics. Unless you love playing online, you'll miss a true captivating and lasting single player mode. It's not a bad game in itself, but at the same time we can't shake the feeling that it's a missed opportunity to create something really unique.- The Games Machine

A lazy job. The game is quite fun, despite the obvious repetition of the genre, but the porting presents the same problems of the original version. Tons of content is not enough to let the game get more than a modest appreciation.- The Games Machine

Yoshio Sakamoto had the right idea when he decided to have MercurySteam involved in the development of Metroid: Samus Returns. It's a decent remake, whose major flaws are the same as the original, and there are some new gameplay elements that will please old and new fans.- The Games Machine

Overall, Pillars of Eternity on PlayStation 4 is a good porting of an excellent RPG, very complex and deep. It's a tip of the hat to a certain genre of games, and someone could be disappointed by this old-school approach, but it will definitely win the hearts of the adventurers looking for some heavy stuff.- The Games Machine
