Death's Gambit takes a slightly less punishing approach to progress than other games in it's sub-genre and is all the better for it. While the vast majority of world building and gameplay concepts are a loving pastiche of Dark Souls, Death's Gambit's balanced challenge, sense of humour and unique visuals allow it to stand on it's own feet and earn a rightful place in the game collections of those souls who are drawn to the fire of the first flame and others who simply enjoy a challenging adventure, laden with mystery.- The Digital Fix

The definitive version of the Mario Maker concept, for better or worse. Super Mario Maker 2 delivers a charming, easy-to-use, but tool-heavy creative romp with near endless potential future content.- The Digital Fix

I enjoyed Effie a lot, mainly because it reminded me of playing games in my youth. Exploring and completing little challenges is fun and rewarding. That's what games should be shouldn't they? Rewarding and fun. A few technical issues aside, if you are looking for an old-school platforming title with quite a bit of gameplay variation then look no further, Effie is a fun game to play.- The Digital Fix

Persona Q2's gameplay is a clever offshoot from Persona 5's highly refined battle system and is a consistently fun challenge. It's story isn't quite the serious social commentary of it's console sibling, but the fun and fan service on offer is fantastic.- The Digital Fix

My Friend Pedro is one of the year’s best titles, and is easily among the Switch’s premier indie titles. It’s funny, it’s stylish, and it’s challenging in all the best ways, and definitely needs to be played by anyone looking for their next quick hit of action gaming.- The Digital Fix

Golem Gates is an RTS that tries to take a new approach with its card game deck-building mechanics, but they don’t go far enough in differentiating the game from all its similar rivals.- The Digital Fix

I feel that the single player is a bit sparse and even though I could not test it, I think the multiplayer will be a hoot and where this game really shines. The social interaction between players and friends will be fun while playing matches, it's a shame the single player does not have the same impact but I do think this game was designed to be played between friends. It's a beautiful game and the VR side of things works well. It's a solid VR outing that's unlike anything other on the market at the moment.- The Digital Fix

Layers of Fear 2 is bursting at the seams with creativity and tension, with stellar writing and voice acting. Sadly let down by some outdated gameplay sections that should have been left in the early 2000s.- The Digital Fix

Ultimately, SUPERHOT VR feels more like the ultimate tech demo than a fully-fledged VR essential. Its gameplay is incredibly engaging, and it’s a perfect title to introduce someone to the capabilities of the Quest, but its runtime is rather short if you’re purchasing it just for yourself. There is replay value in the post-game modes, but you’re more likely to relive the magic by introducing SUPERHOT VR to someone else.- The Digital Fix

Fruit Ninja VR is a cheap, cheerful, and colourful arcade title that’s great to have in your catalogue. It’s got infinite replay value if you’re a score-chaser, but its appeal is otherwise limited. If you’re looking for a simple title to introduce friends and family to virtual reality, though, or just want a mindless game to warm up and wind down with, Fruit Ninja VR is the versatile multi-tool worth having in your VR toolbelt.- The Digital Fix

Constructor Plus is as frantic and fun as the original entry ever was, but a mixed approach to upgrading aged visuals and sound effects combine with an outdated user interface and strict gameplay progression to hold the game back, leaving it feeling like an expansion to Constructor rather than the sequel claims to be. Fans will find more to enjoy, but Constructor's anachronisms are likely to give newcomers pause for thought.- The Digital Fix

If Resident Evil 7 is VR’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre, consider Home Sweet Home as the platform’s analogue to The Grudge. If you’re looking for a world to explore while being scared silly, you can do a lot worse than Home Sweet Home - a very promising debut from Yggdrazil Group.- The Digital Fix

Void Bastards might be the perfect introductory roguelite for beginners. Retaining all of your hard-earned weapons and upgrades across deaths – coupled with not starting on the same boring level with every new character – makes this a more user-friendly take on the genre than we’re used to. The nail-biting tension that it starts with doesn’t last for the entire journey, but it’s worth experiencing for the gorgeous aesthetic alone.- The Digital Fix

Snakeybus is honest fun and beautiful, varied graphics, combined into an arcade game that's hedonistically addictive. It's admittedly light on features, but the core gameplay loop is enough to keep you hooked for a few hours. Just as the fun starts to wear thin, a new level usually unlocks to keep things interesting.- The Digital Fix

Though it lacks some finer polish, the low price tag and high replay value make amends if you can push through the initial barrier to entry. I worry, though, that there may not be enough content for Space Ops VR to maintain a healthy playerbase. The developers have already shown that player feedback is important to them, however, and with the correct treatment, a diamond could be cut from this rough gem.- The Digital Fix

As long as you don't mind the insane story and the games many profanities you will really enjoy Trover Saves the Universe. Its bad language can be turned off but in my opinion the game is better with it. I don't think it will be to everyone's taste but it's bright, fun and never overstays its welcome. Its VR implementation is very good and never gets in the way of enjoying this wacky adventure. I really enjoyed it and I think most other VR players will too. It's unique and should not be overlooked.- The Digital Fix

Project Laika's low price point is just about low enough to justify a DLC package with such little impact on gameplay. If you're the sort to coo over digital animals then it's going to hit the spot, but it's not likely to justify it's cost to the rest.- The Digital Fix

Little Friends: Dogs & Cats is a great virtual pet simulator for children but I feel sadly it doesn't cater for much more than that. It's adorable and there's nothing better than some doggo's in a game but my play-time felt shortened by some of the restrictions. It has a lot of potential but with no real originality I just felt something was missing whilst I was playing it.- The Digital Fix
