A short but intensely satisfying experience on the 3DS, Gunman Clive takes the best examples of the golden age of platforming and envelops them in the desert tones and atmosphere of the old west.

Borderlands brings a wealth of looter-shooter action to the Switch, guaranteeing you countless hours of co-op grinding as you blast your way through all sorts of alien creatures and various shenanigans. All of the original charm and humor are intact as well, and the game runs fantastic and with the inclusion of all the original DLC, you won't be getting bored anytime soon!

Streets of Rage is an excellent and well made game. Whether your a fan of the series or a newcomer, it is fun and addictive experience. The developers did a great job of making it feel like the old games but also make it have a fresh and updated feel to it. Right i'm off to beat some more people upside the head with a pipe.

This is the first time I have given a game 10/10. I said I never would give a game that score but I cannot find anything bad to say about Gris. Its near-perfect. Brilliant art style, beautiful music and brilliant gameplay. It all combines into a controllable watercolour of pure joy. Just go and play it now, I wish I could experience it again for the first time.

A potentially beautiful game, crippled by an awful camera, archaic controls, and bizarre, frustrating gameplay.

From the little tweaks like the menu being cleaner and more responsive, to the adding of modes that are useful and not superfluous, Rocksmith 2014 is as excellent a prospect that it could ever have been. So if you are interested in picking up a guitar for the first time and can’t afford tutoring, it is really hard to not recommend a purchase here.

For an Indie title, this game has been one of my favourites. It is definitely something to get stuck into and perfect to kill a bit of free time. I feel it fits the needs of so many gamers at the moment, a nice break from all the overly saturated game genres we currently play. It is beautiful, both visually and audibly. Nothing seemed broken or negatively affected gameplay in any way. I couldn't really give a suggestion on how to make this game any better. It is just right, which to me gives this game a well deserved perfect ten. What a great little title.

As gamers, it’s heartening to see such serious and prevalent issues being treated with the weight they deserve in a medium more inclined to hand you a gun and point you towards the finish line; Ether One is a decent alternative to mainstream mindlessness, a thought-provoking and moving experience for those willing to commit.

There is certainly potential for The Wolf Among Us to excel over the next few chapters. Core presentation and plot are firmly established, whilst the offbeat world and jaded characters provide a refreshing take on the storybook theme.

Soul Sacrifice Delta might not have the pull of another certain monster hunting big name, but it certainly deserves the niche it’s cut for itself on the Vita.

HoPiKo has everything going for it including the ‘just one more go’ factor that is never a bad thing. Whilst we hope that mouse controls are improved, when played with a joypad it is a joy to play. The retro styling suits it down to the ground and extra content such as the hardcore mode gives it a high replayability. It’s a cheap and cheerful game and while if you play too much of it you may end up with an RSI, nailing that level was worth it, right?

From Bowling to Darts, from Mancala to Mahjong, everyone should be able to find something to love in this collection. If you have friends or family to play multiplayer with, the fun is multiplied massively. It does not matter how you want to play, one console or multiple consoles the Nintendo Switch is is a perfect platform for this lovely collection of classic games. Right, where are my kids? It is multiplayer time!

With impressive tactical depth, a challenging campaign, an excellent multiplayer suite and an outrageously deep set of tools for user-generated content, Wargroove is one of the games of 2019 and is well worth a look - doubly so for Advance Wars veterans.

Pixel Ripped 1995 is chock full of clever ideas, mind-bending scenarios and very well designed gameplay sections. What goes along with that is a very well thought out VR implementation, a great control scheme and easy to understand, fun, familiar gameplay. I loved playing this quirky title, its like nothing else I have played before and I adored it.

The sweeping takeaway from A Plague Tale: Innocence is that it’s an imperfect but powerful story on death. It dares to explore the impact of killing in an industry that treats violence as routine and ordinary. That doesn’t make up for some glaring oversights in the acting and writing, however, but if you can stomach seas of vermin and 10-15 hours of thick French accents, this may be the story-driven stealth title for you.

Injustice: Gods Among Us was a pleasant, if not grammatically correct, surprise that evidently holds great admiration for the source material. DC fans can count this as close to a Justice League game or movie as we’ll see for a good while and there are plenty of incidental details for aficionados to spot.
