Modern Warfare 2 carries the good tradition of its predecessor. The campaign is nonetheless too short, and it feels too inspired to the previous one; on the other side, the multiplayer carries a lot of improvements, and Spec Ops is a well crafted coop mode. If you consider buying for online fun, this is the game that will steal your life for the months to come. If you're up to an unforgettable single player experience you might consider other more lengthy and original titles.

The Last of Us - Part 2 is a poignant and devastating story about what remains of humanity. It is not just the best game of the year, but the most representative game of this generation.

This time there’s no place for Pokemons, babysitting or Japanese lessons: this is an adult-only party, a mature gangster story that dwells deep in the Nintendo DS unique features. Politically incorrect, violent, embarrassing, ingenious. It’s an accomplished GTA, a new Rockstar masterpiece, an absolute must have.

Divinity: Original Sin II is a new landmark in the RPG universe. The world is immersive and dynamic, the combat-system deep and versatile, and the narration solid and engaging. The only problem is the beginning difficulty for new players, after that you can discover one of the best gaming experiences ever.

A game with heart. That's such a rare thing these days, but Nintendo still seems to be able to create wonders. Super Mario 3D World is an amazing platform, with brilliant levels and quite a few surprises. Wii U needed a killer app? Here it is.

Starcraft 2 takes its predecessor and brings it to the next level. Blizzard decided to stick to the original gameplay and improve it, creating an extremely fun and addictive experience. This game has a fantastic singleplayer campaign with a great story, lots of added achievements and challenges to complete and an awesome competitive multiplayer component. It is, simply put, one of the best PC games in years.

The epic conclusion of an amazing saga. Has some annoying visual bugs and the narrative doesn't quite reach the fantastic peaks of its predecessor, but it's still an incredible production that will be remembered.

It's a game that subverts the basics of the Metal Gear Series. It's brilliant, unpredictable, gigantic, ambitious, awe-inspiring, vain and imperfect. This game is Kojima, basically, and it really reaches incredible heights during its first half. The second part, though, has obvious structural problems, and the narrative never really reaches the levels of the best chapter in the saga, even if the final plot twist is pretty brilliant. This Metal Gear will divide the fanbase, maybe even more than the second Metal Gear Solid, but it remains an amazing game.

Pro mode is something new in a genre in a desperate need of innovation. Maybe it won't be able to teach you how to play music, but it's the nearest thing in videogame industry. Unfortunately, if you already are a musician, you will find yourself a bit frustrated by the rigidity of the system. Also, the keyboard hasn't been fully supported with a lacking tracklist and a limited peripheral.

The remake of Resident Evil 4 is yet another demonstration of a Capcom back with arrogance in a state of grace. After the previous works that left no doubts about the quality of the management and the power of the new direction undertaken, the delicate operation - due to the importance of the game in question - succeeds perfectly and gives new light to a timeless masterpiece, which boasts numerous improvements and eliminates those out of place elements that have lost their polish over time. It is an improved remake, very careful and without major flaws, which gives one of Capcom's most important games its best dress.

INSIDE is a top quality product that will let you enjoy a great journey, as amazing as overwhelming, where the excellent visual language drawn by Playdead is the key feature making the story absolutely special. INSIDE is the umpteenth piece of proof that an actually "different" game can be crafted with simple and functional ideas, with neither cut-scenes misuse nor fancy narrative techniques. Even the poor longevity get overshadowed: INSIDE offers an experience that only asks to be lived, not for the quantity but for the high quality of its content.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is one of the best surprises since at least five years or so. It's clearly a work of love and passion, made by talented people who love JRPG of old and has the vision to offer a modern interpretation of them, palatable for both old-time fans like them and newcomers alike. And if that soundtrack doesn't melt your hearts, we really don't know what could.

Silksong is a work that should definitely be played by as many people as possible. It is an incredibly well-crafted, enjoyable, and satisfying product, sold at a retail price that is almost a steal considering the effort of the developers themselves. This, however, does not mean that it is the best metroidvania ever made, or that Team Cherry is the first development studio to achieve feats like this. What is certain is that we are facing one of the most beautiful and significant titles of 2025 for countless reasons—not just for gameplay alone.

Uncharted is still an incredible cinematic experience, but its own issues remain the same: limited interactivity, often too linear. Despite this, it's still one of the best adventure titles of the year, one you shouldn't miss. Multiplayer is just an add-on, but a very well crafted one.
