Its design is uninspired and it feels pretty repetitive, like it was rushed instead of given time to grow into something good, but if you’re a big fan of the Autobots versus Decepticons conflict, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy it.

Sniper Elite 3 is a relatively fun niche shooter experience that improves some of the faults seen in its predecessors, particularly in regards to mission design and the open nature of levels. It's still weighed down by bugs, erratic AI, and a shoddy story, but it will certainly entertain fans of the franchise and those looking for a thinking man's shooter experience.

The core mechanics of the game are pretty solid, but unfortunately That Trivia Game lacks the presentation and the multiplayer required to be enjoyable in the long term.

Chernobyl Commando could have been a pretty great retro first-person shooter but, as it stands, it's an utter letdown. From the shooting to the movement, the actual content, or the visuals, the game disappoints in all sorts of ways.

Those who pick it up will experience some interesting moments, but they will also need to be prepared to deal with some frustrating design choices.

The writing, arguably the most important part of any role-playing game, is solid and surprising, humorous at times, and full of gravitas when the action calls for it; there is a ton of innovation as far as the character system goes, which also translates into gameplay mechanics, the interactions with the game world are rich and rewarding, and there is overall a lot of thinking involved in playing through it.

If the game worked better from a purely mechanical standpoint, it would have fared much better overall. As would have including multiplayer.

Episode 5 delivers a stellar conclusion to the adventures of Bigby Wolf. There are great conflicts in terms of dialog and combat, so players will be solicited in all sorts of ways. It also displays Bigby in all his big bad wolf glory and leaves a fair amount of possibilities for a likely second season of series.

The tactical squad-based combat is engaging and has plenty of depth, although there are moments when it also feels a little too long and the various human soldiers seem much too dumb to be the first line of defense against an alien invasion.

Three Dead Zed delivers a decent puzzle platformer experience but it's largely weighed down by finicky controls, lackluster voice acting, a repetitive soundtrack, and some annoying design decisions. Depending on how much you love zombies and platforming, your mileage may vary.

The game will clearly appeal more to casual gamers than to the hardcore, but it does show how the Wii U can deliver interesting games when the developers try to introduce some innovation.

Unfortunately, the slow and unnerving pace at which you walk will leave you with ample time to wonder what could have been if the writing were more meaty, leaving one with an overall taste of unrealized potential. In any case, not bad for a first effort.

Concursion has a great idea but, unfortunately, it manages to waste most of its potential due to glaring issues with the controls, the difficulty curve, not to mention the awful visuals. The boss fights reward only the most patient players and, in true retro style, if you can't complete a level, you can't progress any further.

The most interesting additions are the new planet types that can be colonized and the Titans that can be unleashed against enemy empires.

You could say that Infinity Runner is an instant win because it has werewolves in space, but even that campy premise can't really save it from the reality of the matter: it's just a mobile game, made a little bit bigger so it fits on a larger screen.

The basic strategy element of Battleplan: American Civil War relies on one core mechanic, that of runners who influence how orders are delivered to units, and it fails to accurately represent many other elements that determined the outcome of an engagement.

Unrest offers a gripping story about hope, failure, action and inaction, fear and security, which feels more like an interactive visual novel than an actual game. And a well-written one, at that. Sort of like A Game of Thrones without endlessly waiting for the dragons to come, the game delivers its quick shot of gripping narrative, challenges you to make a couple of life and death decisions, then leaves you boiling in the karmic print of your choices.

Magic 2015 provides a neat and polished experience for those who are new to the entire concept, but unfortunately does not have enough of its big brother’s allure to warrant attention from more serious Planeswalkers.

Deadstone is a decent title that manages to deliver a survival-oriented action tower defense experience that's pretty intense and can be supported by a serious or amusing story (or even no plot whatsoever). Unfortunately, while its gameplay may be decent and feature plenty of RPG mechanics, the outdated visuals, the awkward soundtrack, and the many design issues weigh it down.

Probably the bleakest episode in the new series so far, but this isn't a bad thing. The dialogue and conversations are top-notch and there are lots of decisions that need to be taken by players and Clementine, whether they like it or not.

Although its theme is skateboarding, it's got nothing in common with the old high-profile skating games. Instead of being able to roll off and mess around with stuff or just experiment, jumping over bums, you are constantly struggling, ever so slightly improving, tested by the game's demanding and unforgiving systems.

Gods Will Be Watching is the sort of love it or hate it video game affair that only transformative titles that push the boundaries of their genre can present. It’s not trying to make you kick puppies, it’s not trying to make you hold hands and sing Kumbaya, it’s about finding a mixture of the two that leads to your survival and doesn’t give you too many nightmares afterward.

Terrian Saga: KR-17 is a fun retro puzzle platformer with a lot of content and a great recreation of what made classic games in the genre so much fun. The controls may need a bit of tightening and the boss fights are frustrating, but overall, it's still pretty good.

Europa Universalis IV continues to be one of the most complex and immersing titles on the market, especially for strategy lovers, and long-term fans will certainly find the new concepts interesting, while those who have not played the game yet are better served by getting the core package before trying the expansions and the DLC.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a great way to explore the comic book universe, which is also coming to the big screen, and the developers at Zen Studios have managed to create an experience that’s fun in the long term and encourages players to constantly look for ways to improve their overall score.
