Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a fantastic way to tide you over until Breath of the Wild 2, if you can forgive the dodgy frame rate and several other warts hidden within.- Pocket Tactics

Tormented Souls is a fine addition to the survival horror genre, the influence it takes from Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark is evident, and this only adds to the creepy experience.- Pocket Tactics

Despite some pacing nitpicks, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is shaping up to be exactly what I want from this series. Modernized controls, slick UI, and stunning visuals ensure Samus' return to our screens isn't undersold. Combat is heavy and calculated, existing in a world that values wits over pure brute force. It may just be the best FPS game on the Nintendo Switch if it keeps this up.- Pocket Tactics

With the digital version, the bookkeeping is automatic and the game is so much quicker than its cardboard counterpart that, if you’re in a no-win situation, it’s easy to just reset and start again. All of that combines to make digital Sentinels the ideal way to play Sentinels.- Pocket Tactics

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel delivers what all duellists have been waiting for, as well as a surprise standout solo mode that relieves itself from the shackles of the anime. With quality deck-building mechanics, intuitive duelling, and an impressive roster of available cards, it’s only the test of time that this free-to-play game still has to ace.- Pocket Tactics

Anno: Mutationem features a fantastic cyberpunk world that’s a joy to explore, as not only does the main narrative offer a certain intrigue, but the side quests you can discover on your travels offer more depth to the bustling cities. Better still, the combat is fluent, fun, and action-fuelled.- Pocket Tactics

EA Sports FC 26 on Switch 2 is a fantastic soccer simulator that finally offers Nintendo users all the bells and whistles other consoles are getting, with the small exception of 60 FPS gameplay. New additions to career mode and distinct styles of play make the core game the best it's been in years, but if you're purely in it for Ultimate Team, get ready to wrestle with microtransactions for another year.- Pocket Tactics

Kick back, relax, and get completely stupid, wacky, and weird, because the best game of 2026 is here. I can’t put this game down, and if you’re a fan of life simulators, I just know the same will be true for you, too.- Pocket Tactics

If you’re a fan, there’s nothing here that’s going to shake the foundation of puzzle games in the future but if you’re looking for a quick puzzler to kill some time, Magic Flute does what it sets out to do. If you’re not a fan of sliding puzzles and find them the bane of all that is good in the world, stay far, far away.- Pocket Tactics

Despite being a tad beige and not hugely ambitious, The Trace is a palatable concoction of hidden object and traditional first-person adventure gaming. Worth trampling a crime scene for, if only to see where the series will go.- Pocket Tactics

Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal offers a way to play a classic Agent 47 experience on mobile with fantastic touchscreen controls and a few gameplay improvements. While the graphics are not as impressive as we might like in 2023, it’s still worth picking up for fans of the series and those wondering why the original is still so well-regarded all these years later.- Pocket Tactics

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie is a superb collection of platform games that shine a light on an iconic character from the genre, one that deserves this moment. Both games are full of fun and intricately designed levels, and not only look stunning, but are warm and welcoming.- Pocket Tactics

In one of the most heartfelt adventures I’ve had the pleasure of playing, Bugsnax shines in almost every element. While there is a bit of tedium with later missions, and not all the Bugsnak designs are winners, the treasure here really is the friends you make along the way.- Pocket Tactics

Life is Strange: True Colors is an incredible game that takes you on a journey of loss, recovery, and adventure. It's a fantastic entry in what is perhaps one of the best narrative-driven franchises out there. However, to truly experience its beauty, you should play it on a different platform, where I would score it higher.- Pocket Tactics

Pokémon Legends: Z-A feels like something completely different from the long-running series, in good ways and bad. While it’s by no means the grand adventure of Legends: Arceus, the real-time battles can be wildly engaging, the pacing and story are spot-on, and Lumiose City looks fantastic. If you’re looking for a good time, you’ve got it here.- Pocket Tactics

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remastered is every bit as fun as the original, reminding people that it’s not just Crash, Mario, and Sonic who had great games in the ‘90s. The modern graphics are a delight, the controls are smooth, and the levels remain both difficult and joyful; this isn’t a game to sleep on if you enjoy platformers.- Pocket Tactics
