Mushroom 11 is a cracking platformer which meshes a couple of genres together very successfully.

A rich, tough, ingenious dungeon crawler that's a pain to play in (mostly) all the right ways.

A fast-paced and often manic driving game. It'd be a crime not to give it a go.

Valleys Between is an intriguing, sometimes frustrating, but always intelligent premium puzzler.

Candies n' Curses is a perfect example of meshing together the old and the new. It's as old a concept as any we've seen recently on mobile, but it's presented in the most modern ways. If this was an arcade game from the era it's aping, then it'd be a hundred times harder, and less fun. Instead you get a game that's all about the balance. The balance between failure and success, retro and modern, control and madness. And where it matters, it gets each of those balancing acts just right.

Rolando: Royal Edition is an entertaining platformer, but even with the extra polish it's showing its age.

Despite some broken levels, Ragdoll Blaster 3 still sometimes captures the spirit that made the original great, but nostalgia isn't enough to make it a must-play.

There are some nice moments in Rogue Aces, but in the end it's too repetitive for its own good.

A good-looking, deep and engaging package that should be in any self-respecting gamer's collection, save for the fact that many who lack the skill, talent and time to succeed in it won't be able to access at least half of what's on offer.

While it may suffer from repetition and some iffy vocal note tracks, it'll take a very cold-hearted gamer not to warm to Lego Rock Band's infectious humour, varied track list and excellent gameplay.

Fantasian is a classic RPG at its core, with plenty of new tricks and a fresh art style to keep it relatable in the age of AAA cinematic experiences. The unique characters are delightful and full of intrigue, the story is engaging, and the visuals speak for themselves. Having multiple options for controls and a unique way of handling random enemy encounters makes this a game suitable for anyone looking to get lost in a fantasy adventure. While it’s not currently complete, if the game’s second half matches even a sliver of its first half in quality, the game will continue to be an absolute must-play title on Apple Arcade.

Another bullet-dodging thrill ride from the king of crazy shmups. But as a straight port of a 2002 arcade game, it doesn't feel as fresh as its Cave cohorts.

With time we hope that Capcom can nail down the problems affecting net play, but as it stands Street Fighter IV Volt is best appreciated by newcomers and should be approached with caution if you already own the original release.
