A decent word game that lacks the control polish and fleshed-out structure of some of its illustrious rivals.

It certainly looks the part, but Catapult King's use of 3D makes it all too difficult to enjoy. Stick with those Angry Birds for your castle-toppling needs.

Though it's a reasonable take on Galcon's stripped back RTS formula, ControlCraft 3 doesn't offer a convincing case for how to take it forward.

A competent, easy-going spatial puzzler without the clear personality or freshness needed to really grab you.

Quick to pick up but difficult to master, Hometown Story's a tough sell but will yield an investment of enjoyable, quick play sessions if you're patient.

Cosmic Clean-Up is mostly good clean fun, but its limited premise leads to repetition and one or two dull patches.

Fun in short doses, and with a decent multiplayer mode, Fluid Football Versus doesn't quite have the chops to take on the big boys.

Some great moments can be salvaged here, despite the ramshackle port.

A dungeon runner with an intriguing aesthetic, Demon Tribe asks you to invest a lot of time and patience into it to peer down into its obscured depths.

Knights vs Aliens is historically inaccurate fun for a short time, but the repetitive gameplay dulls its long term appeal.

As movie game tie-ins go, Thor: God of Thunder is definitely one of the better ones, but that doesn't stop it growing stale and repetitive rather quickly.

A strangely flat JRPG experience, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is one for fans of the series only.

In Fear I Trust could have been a worthy entry to the creepy escape-the-room genre, but it's let down by poor controls, fumbled puzzles, and tired horror clichés.

A delightful free-to-play collect-'em-up that doesn't quite have the gameplay depth necessary to captivate all species of gamer.

An impossibly stylish and intuitive point-and-click adventure that tells a charming tale, but finishes way too soon.

A new made role-player with a strong retro theme, Black Sigil provides plenty of game but doesn't mark out any new territory.

An enjoyable, engaging blend of two very different genres, but its focus on immediacy over depth makes for a game that's just far too ephemeral.

Making a tiny 'splish' on the App Store, rather than an almighty 'splash', Jelly Splash is a slightly novel entry in a very familiar puzzle sub-genre.

PES 2012 serves up a decent game of football, but its lack of depth and control flaws mean that it's going to be a long, hard season.

It captures the essence of Crazy Taxi perfectly, but Gazillionaire ruins the experience by straying too far from the clicker formula.

TMNT: Mutant Madness is a standard idle-RPG with a layer of Ninja Turtle paint. It doesn't do much wrong, but unless you're a huge fan of the series you might be put off by its overly simplistic gameplay.

PUBG New State, ironically, doesn't offer a completely "new" state for players, but it does freshen things up a bit with new maps and some gear upgrades. Give it a go if you're an avid fan of the franchise - just be sure your screen can handle the clutter, and your hardware can carry the load.

Contrary to expectations, NFL Kicker 15 is quite entertaining despite being about nothing but kicking. A shame it's a free game with a price tag, though.

Your House sets itself apart from other point-and-click adventures with its interactive text-based approach to puzzles and its beautiful artwork. Some of the brainteasers can be ragequit-inducing despite the Hint system, but if you're looking for a different kind of challenge when pointing and clicking, then your mileage may vary.
