Role in the Hole is a good puzzle game that features seductive graphics and simple yet original gameplay. That said, its distinct lack of personality, inconsistent level design and control issues prevent it from being more.

Dark Meadow is an adventure game that delivers a brawny horror experience packed with exceptional graphics and atmosphere, but one that sins as a result of flawed pacing and redundant nature. It's therefore difficult to recommend it, particularly given its high price.

A game of two halves, both highly accomplished in terms of production and crammed full of content, but also tricky to experience on iPhone and offering very little in terms of gameplay variety. Fans of the first game will love this, but others may feel considerably different.

Starfox 64 3DS is a space shooter that is both complex and accessible. The series' arrival on Nintendo's latest handheld is great news but the new visual elements and the double gameplay prove to be little more than small details in a remake that is short of big surprises.

Crammed with niggles, Majesty isn't the hit it could have been, but remains a solid strategy game thanks to an original concept that's particularly suited to the iPhone.

Nyx Quest isn't a bad game but its obvious flaws diminish the overall experience. Between an original yet poorly thought out gameplay, a distinct lack of variety, and limited content, we're forced to admit that the potential for fun is seriously undermined.

Meet Gameloft's great mistake: here is a game of exceptional quality, one that is beautiful while offering enjoyment and longevity, spoilt by a unscrupulous policy of fleecing the player. The approach is all too evident: you'll need to continually go through the checkout if you want to get the most out of the game. In short, a hell of a mess that will hopefully dissuade Gameloft from repeating the experience.

Silent Ops is an action game that very much follows in the Gameloft mould, and therefore benefits from expected qualities but also suffers from flaws, namely AI problems and restrained playability, which aren't helped when combined with unspectacular visuals. At least the narrative remains engaging throughout, even if the game's characters lack charisma.

    9mm
The latest Gameloft effort is only just acceptable. Although 9mm shoots straight with its multiplayer ability and interesting storyline, its other aspects are nowhere near as accurate. With limited graphics, playability issues and ridiculously short longevity, this game is a long way from being killer title material.

In many respects, Sword and Soldiers is an excellent game. You can criticise its blatant lack of originality and repetitive nature, but that doesn't stop it being a great deal of fun, while its wacky world will seduce many.

An action game that features the game mode made famous in the 5th installment of the franchise. Nevertheless, and however much I wanted to like it, an average game completion time and meager content that cannot be deleted contribute to making this game not much fun. With that being said, it is visually stunning and provides a good preview of what can be graphically expected from the upcoming installment on the 3DS. Let's hope that it impresses us more.

At times confusing and minimalist in its graphical interface, Football Manager Handheld 2011 is still a very deep game. But its price and low accessibility make FMH 2011 difficult to recommend to anyone but fans of the series.

Dead or Alive : Dimensions is a strong fighting game on Nintendo 3DS. While not comparable with Capcom's Street Fighter in terms of graphics, 3D or gameplay, its huge content will undoubtedly delight fans of the franchise.

Hills of Glory: WWII extends the castle defense concept of Babel Rising and introduces new game depth through various unlockable hero characters. But it's a shame that you'll have to play a long time or use in-app purchases to access them.

Backstab isn't a bad game, but it's not the hit that was excepted. Full of promise - and actually packing plenty of content and a lengthy storyline - the game is hindered by unpolished development that leaves the experience with notable bugs.
