Vaporum slaps a fun Steampunk skin on an old-school grid-based dungeon crawler, and the results are engaging and fun. Though the overly complex control system could be substantially streamlined, the charms of the game overcome the struggle to control it.

By only making skin deep improvements to the game and not touching any of the deep-seated flaws that lurk at the core of Gods original 1991 offering, Gods Remastered ends up being a largely disappointing and straight-laced remaster that will likely only appeal to the most die-hard of fans.

Where The Bees Make Honey is a frustrating and boredom-inducing puzzle game that suffers from an unthinkable amount of technical issues, poor controls, unclear objectives, and bad level design. Any heart that is put into the narrative is wiped away by these issues and made me want to quit playing, minutes after starting the game up.

Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs delivers more of the time-tested Angry Birds gameplay that fans love, this time in 3D. With no learning curve and zero barriers to entry, this is about as accessible as VR gaming gets. Angry Birds offers a decent amount of content and a reasonable level of challenge. Some technical issues mar the experience, but the sheer fun of playing overcomes the deficit.

Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a sprawling epic of a game. With satisfying combat, incredibly well defined characters, and enough story to satisfy the most demanding visual novel fan, Trails of Cold Steel has earned its place in the JRPG Hall of Fame. It’s time to call it like it is: Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is a classic.

Excellent turn-based strategy game, highly reminiscent to Advance Wars. Beautiful, highly detailed artwork that can sometimes be too 'busy' for the eye. Interesting storyline and world building that I want to see more of in the future. All told, a game that will absolutely lull you into playing 'just one more turn'.

Luffy's charm really helps sell this game, with the open world being quite beautiful at times. But some issues with the combat, lack of Straw Hats interacting with the world, and the lock on system being a pain during some fights gives this enough flaws that some folks might not be able to ignore.

Devil May Cry V is the game fans have been waiting for, for better or for worse. It's not the best in the franchise but it's a welcome and stylish return to the original Devil May Cry saga.

A superb, smart and taut detective thriller lay beneath the stack of technical and design issues that The Occupation has, it's just a shame that, in its current form at least, those shortcomings are at the forefront of the experience.

A funny, silly temporal romp that is well made and well executed. Any fan of point-and-click games will enjoy Deponia Doomsday. It has a light-hearted, comedic storyline that is well written and well performed. The art style is lovely and the game performs to perfection on a technical level.

Dead or Alive 6 is the first great fighter of the year. It proves that once you strip the "fan service" away, you see how deep and masterful the core combat can truly be.

Though the setting is evocative, the poor combat, raft of bugs and meagre duration all conspire to ensure that Fimbul fumbles its setting and results in disappointingly poor roaming brawler.

Full of fun characters and unique presents to unwrap, the classic Sega Genesis game feels as unique as ever in Back in the Groove, and is well worth a trip back for older fans of the series. Newcomers can also look forward to finding out what made ToeJam & Earl so popular.
