Whilst Toby: The Secret Mine takes significant leads from Limbo it does enough to stand out in it’s own right. The platforming is enjoyable and tight but the trial and error puzzles stop this from scoring higher.- PlayStation Country

If you're a fan of platformers that require skill and precision and want to test yourself against others then Speedrunners is the game for you, whether it's over the internet or on the same television. If you're strictly single player then you probably won't get much out of it however.- PlayStation Country

Cryptark may be yet another roguelike game, it may also be yet another independently developed twin stick shooter, but it melds both genres together into a compelling package and runs with it. The challenge may be steep, however give Cryptark your time and there is plenty here to enjoy, especially if you love the genre.- PlayStation Country

Whilst I don't doubt this game's authenticity, I found Hunting Simulator to be a frustrating experience. A substantial campaign does make each prey feel unique with their own behaviours and the environments are well rendered. Sadly, getting to the shot requires so much time investment for a reward that doesn't feel too fulfilling. It's one for the enthusiasts. Novice hunters may have better luck elsewhere.- PlayStation Country

There is almost nothing to recommend with Valkyria Revolution as it fails to hit the mark in every aspect having, for some reason, changed pretty much everything which made the first game great. What you're left with is a very forgettable action RPG which frustrates with an overly long and dull story and simplistic and clumsy combat.- PlayStation Country

Dark Rose Valkyrie succeeds with a decent story and a cast of likable characters but unfortunately the gameplay part of it is slow, overly complicated and underdeveloped.- PlayStation Country

The Golf Club 2 builds on the original's interesting blueprint and adds more social integration whilst delivering an impressive engine. The improved feedback ensures more precision and a steeper learning curve. The technical issues and server problems undermine the excellent golf on show. It's not perfect but it does improve on its predecessor and provides a sound golf simulator.- PlayStation Country

Dark Arcana: Carnival is another solid hidden object game. Whilst there is a lack of puzzle variety here the story is interesting and kept me engaged throughout. I don’t think this is going to do anything to draw new players in, but if you’re already a fan then you will likely enjoy this.- PlayStation Country

Arizona Sunshine offers an enjoyable slice of zombie shooting action that left us relatively satisfied. The basic gameplay and dated graphics make the price tag sting a little though.- PlayStation Country

Ancient Amuletor is a fun VR shooter/tower defence hybrid. Unfortunately it’s incredibly short on content and variety at only four levels. Online co-op could enhance the experience if you can find a game but in single player you’ll see all the game has to offer in one session with only higher difficulty levels hoping to tempt you back in.- PlayStation Country

Whilst the story is compelling with plenty of facets to dig into, the pacing and combat felt a little tiresome. Great characters and presentation become mired in an experience that could’ve been tighter. Get Even is worth a look for a strong, narrative adventure with some interesting hooks, if you can stomach the uneven pacing.- PlayStation Country

I Want To Be Human has a cocky swagger about it which screams of rebellion and teenage angst. Whilst it has a striking visual style the gameplay suffers for this. It is also dogged by poor controls and a reliance on frustratingly difficult platforming sections which means this is a hard game to recommend, even at the low price point.- PlayStation Country

An unashamedly retro platform shooter with a harsh difficulty curve, Blasting Agent: Ultimate Edition manages to play a solid game. Whilst this isn’t going to set the world alight, if you can get over some substantial difficulty spikes, it is strangely addictive and also cheaper than the price of a decent coffee.- PlayStation Country

The masters of twin-stick shooting are back and Nex Machina is as polished in both presentation and gameplay as you’d expect. It is a little lacking in content and variety but what’s here is of the very highest level the genre has to offer.- PlayStation Country

The whole idea of playing as a blind person could be interesting but navigating the house just feels frustrating given that you’ll spend a vast portion of your time looking at a silent black screen. With a weak story and unsuccessful horror elements Perception is probably best left in the dark.- PlayStation Country

VR has been around for a while now and just being in VR isn’t enough. Like any other kart racer we want interesting levels, tight controls and fun power ups. VR Karts doesn’t deliver any of that. The VR is welcome but without it, there would be literally no reason to own this.- PlayStation Country

Fascinating. It merges a lot of ideas and caveats that shouldn’t work or would be a barrier to entry but manages to overcome a lot of the potential shortcomings. As a VR experience on its own it won’t leave you too impressed, however as a cooperative VR title with asymmetric gameplay it would be difficult to find a finer example. Just be prepared to encounter unsavoury online types along the way, this game will live and die by its online multiplayer.- PlayStation Country

Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood is another solid hidden object game and one I thoroughly enjoyed. It takes gentle steps to vary up the puzzles and definitely feels like one of the better games by Artifex Mundi. This is a very easy game to enjoy and the mildly spooky detective story kept my interest throughout.- PlayStation Country

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception is a visual novel first and foremost, with some strategy RPG battles scattered throughout. The story is pretty slow going, with the battles few and far between, but the characters are very likeable and contribute to some amusing scenes. One for fans of the genre.- PlayStation Country

A series that was in danger of going stale has managed to take time off and re-evaluate what bedrock the foundations were built upon. Whilst more reserved in presentation, the racing recovers a serious edge that heightens the peril associated with one of motorsport’s more enticing arenas. Whilst I do miss the crutch of quick rewinds and don’t quite fancy the new Landrush mode, the majority of what’s on DiRT 4’s menu is served up exceptionally well.- PlayStation Country

There is a lot of game in Victor Vran: Overkill Edition and it is a great overall package. As a fun action-RPG, this really shines in multiplayer but is also able to offer a decent single player experience thanks to an engaging loot cycle and customisable combat options.- PlayStation Country

This portable version offers a surprisingly full package, if in a bit of a lower quality wrapper. It has all the elements which make Farming Simulator strangely addictive. The slow pace and sense of accomplishment when you bring in a full field of crops. It also remains a very grind intensive game. How much enjoyment you’ll get out of this incremental progress will dictate how much you enjoy this type of game but we rather liked it.- PlayStation Country

Alchemic Jousts is a fairly simple game and it is definitely a one trick pony of playing rock, paper, scissors. The ability to unlock more permutations of elements as you progress is a nice aspect to the game, and adds some longevity. Unfortunately the enemy AI can feel super difficult and unfair on the harder settings, but on the easier settings there is some limited gentle fun to be had here.- PlayStation Country

Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy continues where Operation Abyss left off with a few improvements. The menus could have used some work but speeding up the battles and allowing more character customisation are great additions that make this a must buy for fans of the last game.- PlayStation Country

Dreamfall Chapters is a thoroughly enjoyable game. The story is hugely compelling and I’ve met some characters which will stick with me for some time. Whilst it does a great job of introducing new players, with a decent summary, this is a game where you’ll get more out of it if you are an existing fan. If you’re looking for a modern adventure game then this is a very good place to start.- PlayStation Country

Mental illness is always a tough subject to pitch correctly. The Town of Light, to me, does an admirable job with a period tale filled with a bleak series of events. It’s a thought-provoking journey through a truly troubled mind. It might prove upsetting but I do feel this is worth consideration.- PlayStation Country

The Surge adds some new elements to the Souls formula that for the most part work well. It fails to live up to its inspiration in the design department, with samey environments and a lack of enemy variety but the combat holds your interest to its conclusion.- PlayStation Country

NetherRealm hasn’t just created a neat superhero themed brawler; it has changed the game entirely. The story mode puts all fighting game narratives to shame and offers an excellent taste of the game for newcomers. Injustice 2 is a feature rich fighting game that goes above and beyond expectations in terms of gameplay, graphics and its respect for the source material. Competitors should take note; a new king has entered the ring.- PlayStation Country
