Paradox Soul is another Ratalaika title that offers two platinum trophies for the price of one. A quite simple and straightforward Metroidvania, but for the price you can't complain too hard about the run time.- PlayStation Country

Rain World is a sluggish platformer with copious instant death situations and infrequent checkpoints. These factors all add up to a game which isn’t fun or easy and seems to actively frustrate any understanding of whats going on. Whilst the art style and interesting setting can pull you in, that alone isn’t enough to keep you coming back for more punishment.- PlayStation Country

Sun Wukong VS Robot is a cheap little Metroid clone that'll last you an afternoon without putting much of a dent in your wallet. It doesn't push the genre forward in any way though and is a game you can easily skip.- PlayStation Country

Herodes is an indie shoot 'em up with a few interesting ideas but a game that is let down by mediocre design, unimpressive presentation and fairly weak gameplay. It does hold together though and so if you come with low expectations, you might get some enjoyment from it.- PlayStation Country

I find The Amazing American Circus to be a very unbalanced experience. Simple on the surface, the card playing becomes more of a struggle as audiences turn against you. The lovely sepia look can only do so much as you slog your way through the continent and I don't think the upgrades turn the tide much in your favour. I find it boring at times and the card playing can feel so harsh as you get into longer performances.- PlayStation Country

Dakar 18's execution is terrible. The considered navigation system finds itself undermined by a co-driver I have no faith in. Handling is stiff and the world around you is struggling to keep itself in focus. There are moments of fun to be had when you barrel through dunes and palm trees but they remain moments. It operates on a very thin line and, all too often, that line breaks.- PlayStation Country

Theseus offers a different perspective to your usual PSVR games and the immersion and well designed visuals are its strength. The gameplay is its weakness however, with basic exploration, simple combat and rudimentary stealth. Very, very short as well.- PlayStation Country

Human: Fall Flat has some good moments but it is let down by its own premise. Wonky controls become a nagging frustration and there is little reward for playing alone. Add a second player and things get more interesting. This is best picked up if you are a budding streamer or fancy some couch coop. Otherwise, like the title suggests, it just falls flat.- PlayStation Country

Gods Will Fall has some strong ideas but the randomness doesn't add to the fun, it adds to the tedium. Harsh punishment and weak rewards makes it hard to recommend, despite the enjoyble boss fights and Bloodlust mechanic.- PlayStation Country

Dog Duty is a simple real time tactics game. There are controller and UI issues on PS4 and the 'tactics' element is lacking but if you're looking for a lighter experience this'll keep you busy for a couple of evenings.- PlayStation Country

Outlast 2’s backwoods territory has a real passion behind it’s visuals and sound but the skew towards the chase quickly strikes me as overbearing. The story tropes sit with a tale that’s been told before and, whilst the antagonists are memorable, their relentless nature adds frustration rather than genuine fear. Stealth remains enjoyable but it seems pushed to the periphery. This game will polarise, depending on your priorities.- PlayStation Country

Caverns of Mars: Recharged adapts the original game's gameplay and improves it but the repetitive action and somber presentation do rather suck the energy out of this shooter.- PlayStation Country

Forgotten Hill Disillusion deals in some great, heavy atmosphere. It's suitably oppressive and I think the rough and ready visuals add to the grim aesthetic. The puzzles are inventive but there are times where they feel relentless. In smaller sessions, it's bearable and there's plenty of hints and information on hand to get you through. Unfortunately, I found the game dragged in the final act and some puzzles required genuine precision that a controller can struggle to give.- PlayStation Country

Bullet Beat's mix of shoot 'em up action and booming music works well initially but the simplicity of the gameplay and a general lack of features soon take the shine off of what could have been a decent effort.- PlayStation Country

Tour de France 2021 feels so, so familiar. Whilst the upcoming 2021 tour is replicated in its entirety, there's little new here. Tweaked Peleton behaviours will improve your experience but it's an experience wrapped in the same tired engine. The license brings a lot with it but I'm still puzzled by a roster of identical riders that show a real lack of individuality. Fans will enjoy the mountain of content but it doesn't really feel fresh to me in any major way.- PlayStation Country

Bone Marrow is an RPG-flavoured take on the popular mobile game 2048. While it tries to update that game's mechanics, ultimately the new wrinkles to the gameplay don't improve it in any way and you aren't incentivised to play fairly against the AI at all.- PlayStation Country

Orbibot offers physics based puzzles whilst controlling a ball. Unfortunately the controls never feel right, making achieving what you're trying to do harder than figuring out what you have to do in the first place. Still, another easy platinum (or two).- PlayStation Country

Amazing Princess Sarah is a simple and basic action platformer. Throwing the bodies of your enemies at other enemies is a fun mechanic and after beating the game once the gimmicks introduced in subsequent playthroughs are great ideas. Unfortunately the level design isn't that interesting so the game wanting you to play through them over and over again to face the true final boss is asking a lot of the player.- PlayStation Country

Block-a-Pix offers some very pure puzzle gameplay but is let down because the game feels more like painting by numbers than anything that will really challenge your brain. Puzzle game fans might find it lacking but it does have a certain relaxing quality to it.- PlayStation Country

Whilst The Dwarves has an enjoyable, well presented story, the RPG it tries to present has limited character-building and uneven combat. It’s not deep or robust enough for me to truly endorse. Those that persevere might find a tale worth seeing but be prepared to suffer against a troublesome camera and some worrying technical stutters.- PlayStation Country

Whilst I don't doubt this game's authenticity, I found Hunting Simulator to be a frustrating experience. A substantial campaign does make each prey feel unique with their own behaviours and the environments are well rendered. Sadly, getting to the shot requires so much time investment for a reward that doesn't feel too fulfilling. It's one for the enthusiasts. Novice hunters may have better luck elsewhere.- PlayStation Country

Earth Atlantis is a different kind of shoot 'em up that may well win fans with its excellent art style but will no doubt lose plenty due to the repetitive nature of the gameplay. It is a solidly put together game but one that is a few design choices away from being one we can truly recommend.- PlayStation Country

A Bastard’s Tale prides itself on being tough and that’s certainly what it is. It’s also repetitive but rewarding. The feeling of just one more go will get you through it eventually but the trial and error gameplay will test your last nerve.- PlayStation Country

Doug's Nightmare uses up most of its good ideas and intentions on a weird story about a sleep-deprived banana and while there's some fun to be had from the game's weird and wacky world, as a twin-stick shooter the game feels quite pedestrian and a little dull.- PlayStation Country

If you're not put off by the game's stark minimalism and brainbusting puzzles, then Salary Man's unique charms may well be right up your alley but gamers looking for a puzzle game with a more casual appeal, and perhaps more of a sense of fun, might want to look elsewhere.- PlayStation Country

Some people might enjoy the challenge Masters of Anima brings but it requires a lot of patience and luck for little reward. Controls are clumsy on a pad and your adversaries don't offer much in the way of autonomy. It's well-made but unbalanced encounter design results in some long struggles against enemies that will regularly make short work of you.- PlayStation Country

At its best Killsquad can be a competent co-op shooter that's just about tough enough to create a compelling challenge but it's quite repetitive, ordinary, fussy and bland too. It feels like what it is, a barely optimised port of a cheap four year old PC game but if you can find a co-op buddy or three, there's some fun to be had.- PlayStation Country
