I didn’t necessarily believe it at first, but after spending some time with it, I feel like maybe Mario Kart World was the perfect launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. It reminds us of the pure joy that can come from just sitting around, talking smack, and playing video games with your friends, whether together or apart.- Player 2

Addictive and engaging in a way that not many games can lay claim to, Monster Train 2 is a must buy for anyone looking for that perfect roguelike experience.- Player 2

An unrivalled adrenaline-pumping platformer, Sonic X Shadow Generations arrives as a launch title for the Switch 2 in perfect condition. Fans of the franchise or genre should, without doubt, have this on their must-buy list.- Player 2

No Way Home takes the frenetic action of a twin-stick shooter and marries it to a space-faring adventure, but while these two concepts should make for a thrilling experience combined, the final result is sadly less than the sum of its parts.- Player 2

An inferior version for sure, but not a bad one. Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 makes some necessary sacrifices, but still retains everything that makes this a great game.- Player 2

Not much in the way of additions or quality-of-life updates, but when the original release is so good, who cares? Yakuza 0 is still a fantastic experience 10 years after its release and the perfect launch title for the Switch 2.- Player 2

Street Fighter 6 honestly feels like the best game of the series in every facet possible. The long term will prove or disprove this though as these games tend to morph and change over their lifetime. But for this game to take that title, it’s done everything right from the outset to cement its legacy as the best of the best. This game is a recommendation for people interested in fighting games at any level, go check it out now.- Player 2

While there’s a lot to enjoy about Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, it feels like you’re just playing the game via backwards compatibility, and nothing more. This is the second consecutive time I’ve had to say this about the Onimusha franchise, but it deserves better than Capcom has given it via these remasters.- Player 2

In many ways Nightreign will probably live or die for players based on how well the matchmaking works, or if they have two other friends willing to invest the money and time into buying and playing together.- Player 2

Blades of Fire should be applauded for the new and exciting systems it brings to the Soulslike genre but sadly, the rest of the game is a little below par. A noble attempt, but one that just misses the mark.- Player 2

Khazan had its hooks in me so deep that I kept throwing myself at the game, pushing myself to get better. When playing most of the games in this genre, I would just grind until I was powerful enough to overcome the boss fights. Not this time. I had to get better. I had to win. And there is no better feeling than conquering that mountain.- Player 2

What’s left, when you strip back all the improvements and baggage (both positive and negative) of an established title is still amazing. There’s a reason these games used to go for a lot of money on the second-hand market. Suikoden, even after all these years, is still an amazing set of RPGs.- Player 2

South of Midnight has so much soul that the specifics don’t matter. It told a story that has been criminally undertold in the games landscape so far, with fresh characters, in a darkly intriguing world. I’d take all the underwhelming combat in the world if it meant we got more games like this one.- Player 2
