Blandness and boredom combine when played alone, but throw in three friends and it becomes a minor hoot. [Issue#211, p.94]

The sort of simple, dumb, licensed game that causes the shelves of your local game shop to buckle under the weight of sheer undesirable mediocrity. [Issue#210, p.94]

Piyotama does its best to put a clever and unique spin on a tired format, but its tendency to reward shameless chancing considerably dents its appeal. [Issue#162, p.93]

Sorcery is fun and uses motion control in a way that doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out. It's shallow and short, though. [Issue#219, p.76]

EA has made some great changes this year, much the same as with its FIFA franchise. 2K9 doesn’t seem to have taken it far enough, and the small additions just leave us wanting more.

After about two or three hours of this you'll probably be tired of it all and want some peace, but this is Orochi's secret: you will be tempted to come back. [Issue#217, p.]

It may not be a classic, but The Bourne Conspiracy still gets more right than it does wrong. Thanks to the awesome variety of Takedown moves, there are few games that will make you feel more like a highly trained killer.

Beyond also seems to have less narrative choice than Heavy Rain, with your ending being mainly decided by a couple of large decisions toward the very end of the game. Choices up to that point can affect the specifics of your current situation, but the end result is rarely affected. Again, it’s similar to The Walking Dead: the end destination is the same, but how you got there might be a bit different to someone else.

It's okay. It's good. It's bland. It's inoffensive. It's a film license. It's for kids. It's about cars. It's got Owen Wilson's voice in it. It's everything you'd expect from it. Nothing more. Nothing less. [Issue 143, p.100]
