If the combat was a little bit tighter this would be absolutely excellent. [Issue#219, p.74]- Play UK

It's so utterly satisfying, you simply won't care that you're hammering two button for 12 hours. [Issue#184, p.70]- Play UK

It's rough around the edges and sometimes insultingly simple, true. But Sleeping Dogs is also a game where you have to rescue a cake and can do so in your pants. An imperfect, but more often than not fun, sandbox romp. Yes, romp.- Play UK

It's still a bit rough around some edges, but there's no denying the scope, intelligence and passion poured into Hitman: Absolution. IO has made quite possibly the best game in the series and easily one of the best games on PS3.- Play UK

One of the most complete, albeit shaky, packages the series has ever seen. [Issue#226, p.68]- Play UK

The boss battles may let it down slightly, but Guitar Hero III is another magnificent rhythm-action beats, sure to appease fans and newcomers alike. [Issue#160, p.70]- Play UK

There are some brilliant moments, but it's too specific to be recommended to anyone but the serious metal contingent. [Issue#185, p.70]- Play UK

Genuinely funny humour meets a great turn-based battle system and ludicrous levels of depth for those fond of levelling up ad nauseam. [Issue#190, p.77]- Play UK

A gorgeous action RPG that'll inspire passion in the hardcore, Odin Sphere is only marred by its minor unbalance in combat, and occasional repetition. [Issue#164, p.91]- Play UK

There's no great leaps for the series and it doesn't take huge advantage of the hardware's unique features, but it's still very bloody good.- Play UK

Nothing new as far as the franchise is concerned. But the formula is so brilliant, why change it? Studio Liverpool tried once with "Fusion" and it took "Pure" to get it back on track. Pulse helps keep it there. [Issue#159, p.94]- Play UK

Even the shockingly bad likes of "Altered Beast" are mildly entertaining. A good compilation, but not quite great. [Issue #147, p.90]- Play UK

It's still good-ish, just not very enjoyable, which in the scheme of things is probably something of a handicap. [Apr 2006, p.114]- Play UK

Progressive and intelligent, FIFA 16 is a much more considered and more precise game than its recent predecessors, and it's an absolute delight to play. [Issue#262, p.60]- Play UK

Cruel and unforgiving yet wonderfully satisfying when it comes together, Nuclear Throne is an accomplished roguelike capable of challenging even the most skilled players. [Issue#266, p.72]- Play UK

It's SingStar but with just enough tweaks and additions to make it feel part of a different generation. It might be tainted with slight cynicism, but there is no getting away from the fact that this is still an incredibly good party game. [Issue#159, p.86]- Play UK

Excellent player movement and passing make for a beautiful game, but dodgy defenders and predictable goals make it feel slightly lightweight. [Issue#146, p.78]- Play UK

It has its issues, it has its drawbacks, but Saints Row: The Third is an utterly wanton, totally ridiculous bag of laughs. It's difficult to dislike anyway, and even harder to dislike with such an enjoyable, escalatory campaign. Great stuff. [Issue#211, p.72]- Play UK

With some major tweaks to an old formula, Tiger is back to his best. As ever, we wonder what on Earth EA will do next year, but for the time being we have one of the best golf games in some time.- Play UK
