Doom Eternal for Switch is a technological miracle that runs on stable framerate. To achieve this, Panic Button made several compromises and sacrificed a goat to the technology gods, but we are now able to Rip and Tear on a toilet seat!

If you loved the original, grab this sequel that is superior in almost every aspect. Graphics, audio, story and overall narrative as well as amazing location variety are this game’s strongest points. The presence of clunky combat, controls and a number of bugs will make it harder for newcomers to experience Horizon Forbidden West. Yet what can’t be denied is the fact it’s not an „everyday title“, and as such is not for everyone.

BGA is a great strategy and even better Warhammer 40K game. Its difficulty might scare away some players, but details on ships and impeccable voice acting will thrill the die-hard fans of the universe. This is a game that is truly blessed by The Emperor.

It’s such a rare occurrence for a game to age this well when it comes to its gameplay. And being able to re-experience this jewel on modern platforms is a special kind of treat. An absolute evergreen, full of fast and fun activities and dozens of secrets that make you go „yay“ every time you discover one. A huge recommendation, if you can get past the old school graphics and level design.

Rogue Tower is a great minimalistic game combining roguelike and tower defence mechanics. This game provides you with countless hours of playtime, or at least until you develop the ultimate strategy for defence. Procedural generation helps in this regard, which is why Rogue Tower has a very high replay value.

Subset Studio has once again proved that they are masters of gameplay, UI and style design. In moments when FTL was hectic and chaotic, Into the Breach is precise and tactical while preserving the same feel of tension, danger and adrenaline rush. Simply brilliant.

If you've wanted to try out a Monster Hunter game but were always discouraged by its complexity and systems, here's a title that might change your mind. With tweaked pacing and mechanics, Monster Hunter Rise feels more accessible than ever, yet it loses next to none of its complexity that the veterans of the series cherish so dearly. For newcomers and returning players, this is the title to rise above all others.

How can you make something different from amazing, but still just as amazing? I have no idea, but Ni No Kuni II managed to do just that. A few minor flaws can't touch the grand pattern, made up of a great story, beautiful visuals, fun mechanics and memorable characters. Ni No Kuni II is still just that - amazing. Do not miss it.

Meet the Prince of Metroidvania. The recipe for this genre is so well perfected that a studio like Ubisoft can't possibly make something bad out of it. All jokes aside, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is extremely fun and visually flawless, with its beautiful environments, action-packed battles and challenging platforming puzzles. All in all, a perfect example of an amazing Metroidvania title.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the best way of experiencing this gorgeous video game. It is maybe not a reason enough for some people who have already completed the game due to its expansion being relatively short and PS5 upgrades not bringing anything “game-changing”, but it is a great piece of content and an upgrade that truly boosts the overall experience that many new players and existing ones will feel and appreciate.

A definitive revival that finally fixes the original's clunky camera, transforming a gothic cult classic into a fluid modern experience. While the linear level design shows its age, the haunting atmosphere, legendary voice acting, and inclusion of the lost Dark Prophecy demo make this an essential masterpiece for fans of LoK series.

Cairn is a brutally demanding yet strangely soothing climbing experience that turns every movement into a meaningful decision. Its unique limb-based controls and meditative pacing create a powerful sense of immersion, even as its punishing difficulty and sparse checkpoints test your patience. If you're willing to endure the struggle, the mountain offers one of the most memorable journeys in recent indie games.

Metro Exodus Complete Edition is the tightest and one of the most beautiful atmospheric and visual experiences you can afford. It is a truly artistic masterpiece that is helped by a solid story and excellent level design. It may be a bit tough and unfitting for certain audiences due to its slow gameplay and big surroundings that may take a long time to get around.

It’s God of War 2018, only bigger, prettier, more detailed, more open, more complete and much more intense. It’s more of everything from the sequel that both revived and killed the old franchise at the same time. If you are on a quest to find a video game that could make you cry, may your quest end right here. A continuation of a story that was fine on its own, Requiem delivers one of the most powerful stories ever conceived in a video game.
