If you were a huge fan of last year's game, there might not be enough in 13 to warrant an immediate purchase but FIFA 13 is certainly the best football game to date until at least the next generation.

Realms of Ancient War isn't perfect, but it's one of the best new downloadable titles of 2012 and a good excuse to invite over your friends to go dungeon exploring in search of the best loot on the hardest difficulty setting.

While Codemasters did lean more towards attracting casual players with F1 2012, we can't help but feel that those most familiar to the series – or the sport in general – will be better catered by it.

The sound design isn't going to do much for you if you're not a fan of the direction electronic music has taken these days, but I personally feel that the game's soundtrack is of incredible quality and matches perfectly with Borderland's style and how it plays. It's intense, powerful, edgy and exactly what a videogame of this caliber needs in order to stay immersed with the atmosphere.

Loaded with options benefitting both single play and online interaction, it's got just about everything a fan would truly want except you still can't make Gretzky bleed.

Dogfight 1942 doesn't aim high. Its developers stripped away as much as possible while still leaving behind a perfectly average arcade flier.

While some may grow frustrated at the difficult challenges and later stages, tenacious platformer fans will find nothing but the utmost enjoyment in this title.

Had Tekken Tag Tournament 2 come with more side modes and an end boss that actually gave you a chance to win the game without killing yourself, it would've been something of legend. But even with these flaws, it's still one of the best fighting games out there.

With its demanding gameplay, Mark of the Ninja may not be a game for everyone. Those who prefer destroying everyone with kick-assery may prefer the more visceral Ninja Gaiden 3 instead. But for those seeking a challenge or a game that really makes you feel like you're in the ninja uniform, Klei's Mark of the Ninja immensely satisfies.

If you show patience, there's a great deal of worth here, especially in the modes, online multiplayer and tactical play.

Rock Band Blitz defines a new era of addiction for the franchise, presenting a worthwhile effort to Xbox Live Arcade that will draw you in for months at a time.

With a brand new physics based Infinity engine, Connected Careers, and Madden Ultimate Team, EA has given football fans the most in depth sport's game to date.

There's enough action here to almost fill two games, and that's really saying something.

The music is sensational, and though it was done by an in-house team hired by Dodrill, they definitely keep the adventurous tone flowing throughout, even with the slower town exploration themes. The voicework is great too.

It's a better experience than any of the Saints Rows and fantastic filler as we wait for the next Grand Theft Auto. Anyone that is a fan of either sandbox or action titles should give this one a shot and not miss out on what is sure to be a serious 2012 sleeper hit.

Gameplay that constantly changes with each weapon you pick up and challenges galore, especially in the arena. The presentation is also top notch, a true sign of dedication from Joe "Mad" Maduriera and his team.

Let's Dance is a fun game that does what it sets out to do. The game provides a fun and friendly atmosphere that is great for parties with friends or even learning a few steps in private to take with you to the club.

It really sneaks up on you and delivers an ultimate fighting experience, and not from the usual source that you'd expect. Everything clicks to some degree, and the number of modes, along with online functionality, will really teach you a thing or two about fighting games.

Part of that fault lies in the game's dialogue. Some of it's rather cheesy, about on the same level as Resident Evil, while other lines just drag out the usual examples of poorly exploited horror. It just doesn't add up in spots.

London 2012 is a nice step forward for Olympic games, and it's got us wondering just what Sega will do next when the 2014 Winter Olympics come about. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Slightly Mad dropped the ball a little bit with the game's controls and limitations.

Monotonous gameplay, awkward movements and uninspired missions quickly kill the mood that your hopes for the game had set.

If you're up for some destruction and don't have Angry Birds handy, this is clearly the next best thing.

The quirky, lovable design and mounting (but never frustrating) gameplay will keep you coming back until the quest is finished, and the touches of humor spread throughout make it a lighthearted romp for all ages to enjoy.

Tony Hawk is finally moving in a good direction again, and that's enough to give Pro Skater HD a solid thumbs up. Perfect it's not, but it retains a lot of the goodness that made the original games such a hit, and for us, close definitely counts.

The minor tweaks and abundant features packed into this game make it worth the upgrade, at least for hardcore fans of the sport and those who can't live without seeing their beloved team take it all. The online functionality is still surprisingly vast, and the other modes, though mostly unchanged, will certainly keep you busy until Madden's arrival, and maybe even beyond that

The gameplay is as addicting as it was in years past, and the game's new features allows the classic game to feel different from the original in many important ways.

The game is very difficult and will require you many playthroughs before you even reach the second world much less beat the entire game. Death takes you back to the beginning of the game and you'll lose all the treasure and items you've earned in your time with the game. Still, Spelunky has an undeniable charm that will have you laughing as you die the first time and the hundredth time.
