A bad game it isn't, it just takes time to adjust to. Once you get the hang of abilities and figure out the right tempo for puzzle solving, you're in for one moderately enjoyable trek.

Contracts is a huge addition, and one that'll add months of replay value long after you complete the single player mode. Throw in a "killer" presentation and you've got one of the year's most surprising sequels.

Graphical hitches and gameplay tweaks aside, it's still one of the best first-person shooters out there, loaded with exciting moments and a story that – wait for it – is actually worth experiencing. Throw in the hours' worth of addictive multiplayer and you have something that'll hook you well into the next generation.

Though Assassin's Creed III isn't quite the perfect killing machine, it's a damn good one, and a game that definitely lives up to the hype.

Nobody knows action games better than Hideo Kojima and the Zone of the Enders HD Collection contains two of the best ever from the brilliant mastermind that brought the world other great titles such as the Metal Gear series.

A great game that comes up shy in being the ultimate Halo experience. Since this is 343's first installment in what is supposed to be a new trilogy, I think they deserve plenty of credit for making a game that may not be revolutionary but opens the doors for some major improvements in the future.

While Serious Sam 3 doesn't quite evolve as highly as other quality first-person shooters on the market, it's one of the best – and most affordable – ones when it comes to the Xbox Live Marketplace downloadable front.

The figures may cost you a small fortune – especially if you're a parent – but the light-up ones leave a lingering effect that all ages will enjoy. The ability to play co-op, or battle against your buddy in the Arena, is just a cherry on top. So grab your wallet and join the romp-filled journey.

Just Dance 4 beats out any other fitness title and is a perfect way to get in some fun exercise. The best part is the diversity of tracks which can fit any mood that you are in.

Though it's more on the tactical side than straightforward action, Enemy Unknown brings plenty of challenge, along with thoughtful gameplay and more-than-acceptable management options. Developers, take note – this is how you bring a franchise back.

Though it's got its problems, Dishonored is a damn good game, one that makes use of a compelling storyline and wraps it into strong first-person gameplay, and a presentation that's pretty hard to beat.

Fundamental to those dedicated enough to play it, but I can clearly see why Konami's still running behind EA Sports, due to the dated content and the small pieces of sloppiness in the presentation.

Overall I think NBA Baller Beats is an entertaining game but the price is a bit high for anyone that doesn't want the game only for the purpose of increasing their ball handling abilities.

It's ridiculous how Visual Concepts makes a monumental series and continues to improve upon it, even if it's in small and subtle ways. NBA 2K13 shows nothing but forward progress, and continues to be one of the best sports series on the planet.

Capcom has done a remarkable job in presenting these beloved classics in their original state while adding just enough extra content like CRT Mode, The Vault and the slew of filters that allow you to recreate the game to look exactly like the last time you played it during the '90s.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit has its flaws with its unresponsive controls and repetitiveness. However these small flaws can easily be overlooked when you look at what all Hell Yeah! has to offer with its exquisite graphics, entertaining gameplay, fun music and nonstop humor.

Realms of Ancient War isn't perfect, but it's one of the best new downloadable titles of 2012 and a good excuse to invite over your friends to go dungeon exploring in search of the best loot on the hardest difficulty setting.

While Codemasters did lean more towards attracting casual players with F1 2012, we can't help but feel that those most familiar to the series – or the sport in general – will be better catered by it.

The sound design isn't going to do much for you if you're not a fan of the direction electronic music has taken these days, but I personally feel that the game's soundtrack is of incredible quality and matches perfectly with Borderland's style and how it plays. It's intense, powerful, edgy and exactly what a videogame of this caliber needs in order to stay immersed with the atmosphere.

Had Tekken Tag Tournament 2 come with more side modes and an end boss that actually gave you a chance to win the game without killing yourself, it would've been something of legend. But even with these flaws, it's still one of the best fighting games out there.

With its demanding gameplay, Mark of the Ninja may not be a game for everyone. Those who prefer destroying everyone with kick-assery may prefer the more visceral Ninja Gaiden 3 instead. But for those seeking a challenge or a game that really makes you feel like you're in the ninja uniform, Klei's Mark of the Ninja immensely satisfies.
