Cities: Skylines will be the city builder to beat in coming years. With few real flaws, this is the Sim City we were promised two years ago. Developer Colossal Order succeeds and even trumps Maxis in terms of sheer road-dropping, tax-raising fun. If you like playing mayor, there simply isn’t anything else like it out there.- PC Games

It’s truly the most beautiful Anno experience in the strategy series. It comes along with some major changes, concerning mostly the economic systems in the game. Many things are easier to handle. Still the game offers enough potential to optimize your cities. But it feels different, comparing it to the classic Anno games, it is now more like a Sim-Citybuilder, which isn’t bad overall. Unfortunately there’s no multiplayer, no editor, no campaign, no challenging scenarios – it has become a multi-session gameplay, combining all these gameplay modes in a persistent game world.- PC Games

More accessible and ultimately better than the second game. Far Cry 3 offers incredible freedom in a beautiful world, while delivering a decent main quest with interesting characters, exciting combat and much more compelling player progression this time around. It's not perfect though: Some boring side quests, linear mission design and needless crafting/animal hunting drag the experience down quite a bit.- PC Games

Runaway: A Twist of Fate is a great adventure and a dignified finale of the Runaway triology. It sure does not have the deep story of The Whispered World or A Book of Unwritten Tales but it sure feels like a monolithic system. It’s cinematic presentation with it’s stylish graphics and frequent cutscenes in cool cartoon-style along with some unexpected cliffhangers and surprises kind of forced me to play the game at a stretch. Runaway: A Twist of Fate is a thrilling adventure that entertains the player from the beginning to the end. Just great!- PC Games

With six big sandbox-locations the first season’s campaign for agent 47 is offering various challenges, how to fulfill each mission. On top, there is a lot more to do with escalation-missions, user generated contracts and elusive targets. The gameplay allows classic hitman-stealth with silent kills as well as all-guns-blazing if you’re that kind of player. Lots of disguise-possibilities, weapons and gadgets makes it fun to play various times. Some lacks with the AI and graphic-issues have to be dealt with and if you’re expecting a complete storyline, that is not happening in Season 1.- PC Games

Almost every mechanic from Dark Souls is – in some form or another - implemented into Salt & Sanctuary. But in this specific case that is far from being something negative. I might even be a little addicted to the game’s concept: uncovering secrets, defeating humongous bosses and diving deep into the lore of the game. All of that manages to entertain me for dozens of hours. The only complaints I have with the game are the subpar German voice acting, the somewhat confusing skill-tree and – at least for my taste – boss-fights, which lack a certain challenge. However Salt & Sanctuary will undoubtedly bring a lot of joy to every fan of the Dark Souls-franchise, while people, who aren’t really into those, won’t be won over by this game either.- PC Games

A pricey expansion with only few additions? Not enough for those who played the original Sins. But as a package for newcomers this Rebellion is a fantastic offering – a complete, refined strategy game that still ranks among the best in the genre.- PC Games

It's got pretty much everything the community hoped for: powerful combat, tons of loot, cool classes, fun bosses and varied environments. The main downsides are the overall lack of fresh ideas and weak storytelling. But even so, with single-player, LAN and online game modes, a fair amount of content and a mod editor to be released soon, the game comes as a complete package for a ridiculously low price.- PC Games

Its style and gameplay might not be the most innovative one but that isn’t even necessary to leave a lasting impression on me. In This War of Mine, none of my actions were of no consequence. After about 8 hours, my journey was finally over but I couldn’t really feel happy about it. In my thoughts, I was still pondering about all the terrible things I had to do in the game. Therefore, I can attest that the game succeeds at the task to accurately represent all of its themes. This War of Mine isn’t “fun” to play but took me on an emotional journey, like only a select few games ever managed.- PC Games

If you love to laugh and shoot at the same time, Borderlands 2 is for you. The remarkable humor oozes through the whole 40 hour long game and is the glue that keeps the otherwise not-so innovative game together. Gearbox managed a pimped version of the original game but dared not to try something new.- PC Games

Well aged, beautifully remastered - honorable round for a classic! One thing is clear: Anyone who didn't get along eleven years ago with a story full of politics, characters without any ruffle, and a combat system somewhere between turn-based and realtime, will not convert to The Zodiac Age either. But for those who - like me - had a lot of fun playing the PS2-Original then or just does not know the classic yet, is welcome to this remaster.- PC Games

I’m a big fan of air-combat-classics like Strike Commander, Falcon and IL2-Sturmovik, so I really looked forward to HAWX. Sure, I’ve had my doubts. Can this genre revive itself, though hitting the stores for consoles with quite simple controls at the same time? Ubisoft delivers the answer: no problem! Sure, HAWX is everything else but a simulation, but this game never wanted to be one. HAWX comes with accessible, perfectly staged non-stop-action and a broad selection of air combat situations like bombing runs, dogfights, escorts and more. If the multiplayer-mode can keep up with the solo-experience: fasten seatbelts and stop smoking!- PC Games

Reaper of Souls may not be the most original expansion, but it's definitely a good one. The Crusader is fun to play, the Mystic adds depth to the crafting system and Act V is beautifully designed. However, for its price tag we expected a little more content. But in the end it all comes down to treasure hunting and this is where Reaper of Souls really shines: The new adventure mode combined with the revamped loot system offers many satisfying hours of monster-bashing fun.- PC Games

Finally! Alan Wake arrives on PC almost two years after it hit consoles. Was it worth the wait? Yes! Does its age hurt your eyes? No! Should you play it? Definitely! Alan Wake is one of the most creative and thrilling story-adventures we've seen so far – but you shouldn't buy it if you are expecting an action game.- PC Games

Risen 2 transcends its shortcomings by boasting a wonderful living and breathing world and a refreshing new setting, masterfully crafted and executed. Although the combat is way too easy and the ending comes much too suddenly, Risen 2 is a great role-playing experience for any fan of open world games.- PC Games

Grid Autosport is a very good racing-game, that should please most fans of the first Grid. Although it is far away from a simulation, it has an extremely authentic race-feeling. The only thing annoying is, that you have to play some races for multiple times, so the career-mode feels a little bit drawn-out.- PC Games

After reviewing this game, I realized something important: we definitely need a new console-generation, because these multiplatform-titles for PS3 and Xbox 360 really drag down some otherwise graphically impressive games. Good though, that Sleeping Dogs looks visually way more impressive on PC. I wasn’t expecting Sleeping Dogs to be that much of a hit-game but after my time with it, I enjoyed myself quite a lot.- PC Games

I had a lot of fun while playing Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. The main reason for that is definitely the great humor of the franchise. Seeing the brawls between the plants and the undead is just always funny. I also really like the class-selection and sticker-/booster-pack-system. Though not every aspect of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare was completely thought through. Team Fortress 2 – in direct comparison – has many similar strengths as Garden Warfare but comes with an enormous plus: Team Fortress 2 is free, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is not. But I still think that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will connect to its fan-base and with the slew of free updates coming to the game, long-term-motivation should be secured.- PC Games

Easily the most recommendable adventure game in years. The production values are top-notch, the puzzles are fair and most of the characters are simply adorable. If only the story would keep up its suspense and finesse after the second chapter, I would consider this game to be an instant classic of the entire genre. Ah well, there is always hope for the sequel, right?- PC Games

Call of Duty has lost its magic. Modern Warfare 3 is miles away from the epic campaign missions of the franchise. The new open combat missions are boring and we are missing the scripted action sequences of the prequels. After only four hours the story is completed, even for a Call of Duty that’s short. We still have the feeling, this game should be a DLC and not a sequel of MW2. [Campaign Review Score = 40]- PC Games

In the first release of the episodic Hitman-game you got access to the prologue and the first story mission. The sandbox-design of the levels is great and offers tons of variations how to fulfill your contracts – just like in Blood Money. In addition you can play the live events (escalation, contracts, illusive targets). Though there are just two locations available within the first release, it can be very repetitive after some time. Gameplay is well done, but technical issues like glitches, minor bugs and performance drops can be frustrating.- PC Games
