The online play, chess kombat, puzzle kombat, arcade mode and Konquest mode will be enough to keep most gamers entertained for hours.

With the wonderful "Street Fighter 3" and "Guilty Gear X2 Reload" on the Xbox, there's really no need to even touch this despite its low price.

Sure the character combination of Crash and Cortex is different and the humour makes for a welcome change, but aside from that the game is still very familiar and hasn't even evolved nearly as much as it should have.

It features everything that makes a great RPG great, and offers a lot more that many don't. Shadow Hearts: Covenant is one of the unexpected surprises of the year.

The game play in Donkey Konga isn't as good as we were hoping. There is a severe lack of a proper long game mode which means that often the game didn't hold our attention for more than half an hour.

If you want an online dungeon crawler with a decent atmosphere, nice visuals and repetitive but social and sometimes exciting action, this will do nicely. Don't bother for offline only play.

The game features some fantastic ideas, but most of that is kicked in the arse with the terrible execution of important game elements that actually make games good – graphics, sound and camera issues, for example.

With some nice powers and a good blend of stealth and action, topped off a great story, Second Sight is a good venture into the unique from Free Radical.

The best real-time strategy for a long time. If you have been searching for a real-time strategy game your search is over, whether you are a Warhammer 40,000 fan or not.

With the stunning visuals and audio sections of the game it’s somewhat of a treat for Xbox gamers to witness. Sadly, Battlefront is hurt greatly because of a lack of effort put into the game’s AI and overall single player production.

Quite simply put - this is the finest horizontal shooter on the PlayStation 2. In fact, it’s the finest horizontal shooter on any of the next-generation systems.

An enjoyable gameplay experience - but it's all over far too soon.

In two years the game has evolved from being a shallow linear platformer to a lengthy, creative and mesmorising title.

But those wanting an action/adventure game that offers all the elements needed to create the perfect adventure title will be sadly disappointed.

Fable has its fair share of problems – the length of the main story, primarily – but it has so many fun and unique elements that will draw you deep into the world of Albion you can't help but love it.

Stunning use of sprites on both the fighters and the backgrounds. Excellent character design combined with some visually appealing backgrounds make GGX2:Reload one of the best looking 2D games ever.

Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green are two magnificent games that pull off an amazing remake of two of the greatest titles in the franchise, however, I felt that there was a lot of room for improvement.

Its well implemented concepts of both first person and third person perspectives and its centralisation between an apartment and an alternative world offer a rare kind of gameplay experience.

Takes "Burnout 2," completely reworks it, adds a stack of variety, speeds up the game play, introduces more modes to take full advantage of the crashes and never stops sending out the challenges. It is the arcade racer to own, bar none.

A huge disappointment. After "Wrestlemania 19" I was really expecting something special from this, but it retains everything that was bad about that game and merely covers them over with prettier graphics and a few new modes. Time to continue praying again for the return of AKI.

We can't help but feel a little disappointed by Sonic Advance 3. There's nothing really wrong with the game, it's just feeling like Sega are treating this game like an EA update, with a few roster changes and minor enhancements. This feels more like Sonic 2.5 than a full fledged sequel.
