Tales of Vesperia succeeds in providing a great and enjoyable action JRPG experience for the Xbox 360, but could have shaken off a few of the older, peskier genre conventions.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge is the best arcade racer to hit the PSP platform, and is a fine addition to the already quality franchise that was born on the PS3.

Twisted Metal: Head On isn't anything new, but amongst all the driving games on the PSP sometimes it is fun to play a racer than doesn't take itself so seriously.

If you are a Geometry Wars fan or are simply after a shooter then you cannot go wrong with Galaxies. The game is ideal for the Nintendo DS and the controls are fantastic.

We can't help but feel a little disappointed by Sonic Advance 3. There's nothing really wrong with the game, it's just feeling like Sega are treating this game like an EA update, with a few roster changes and minor enhancements. This feels more like Sonic 2.5 than a full fledged sequel.

Far Cry Instincts Evolution isn't really an evolution but more of the same which is good if that's what you're after.

What gives this game its punch is the sublime grindhouse presentation, making for a hugely entertaining game experience. The gameplay is ultimately very shallow, but from the soundtrack to the dialogue to the sheer silliness of the story you'd have to be dead inside to not enjoy this.

Hotel Dusk hangs somewhere between a game and an interactive story. While we would have liked to see a little more interactivity thrown into the mix, its storytelling elements are nevertheless fantastic.

A rather forgettable, derivative FPS experience. Only worth a try if you're absolutely desperate for a shooter fix, and don't care about dropping some cash for a copycat title.

Rare obviously know how to work their system. It's just a shame they've lost their flair for gameplay. This game overall displayed a total drought of ideas. It's a shame that such a good game be dealt such a troublesome fate.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie wraps up the 'Nintendo DS remake trilogy' by being the best one yet. Absolutely anyone will enjoy this top-quality role-playing game, so go and experience this 'proper' Japanese RPG for yourself.

With so many strategic elements at play including an economy system and a variety of unit types, Age of Empires: Mythologies is worth a look at by any turn-based strategy fan.
