An excellent racing game period. If you happen to be a sprint car fan you would be doing yourself a supreme injustice by not checking this out.

The EA team made their off-season adjustments and released a solid product. Maybe not groundbreaking or innovative, but certainly a step forward.

You can breeze through everything it has to offer in less than a week, which is probably the game’s biggest downfall. For all of the additions and enhancements that this season brought, the core gameplay has too many little issues to call it an improvement over last season.

This game suffers from a terrible case of rubber-band AI and forces you to finish first to move on. Had this not been the case it could have been another instant classic.

A good game. It has some considerable depth to it, but also has some shortcomings – and the biggest ones are the lack of custom soundtracks and the limited ability to configure the controls exactly to your needs.

Despite its few flaws and it's relative lack of "newness", NBA 2K6 offers excellent value - especially in comparison to other sports titles on the Xbox 360 system - and gives the gamer a full-featured product that also happens to be the best professional basketball simulation ever created.

If you are looking for a "pick up and play game", this might be your thing, but the hardcore soccer gamer will be under whelmed and jumping back to "Winning Eleven" in no time.

The on-field play is excellent, with a pitching model that’s unmatched, and “Career Mode” is a completely new take on the standard sports gaming franchise/season gameplay, and I expect to see more publishers introducing similar modes.

It’s not a game that will hold your interest for more than a couple of weeks. The challenge mode is fun, but once that’s finished; there aren’t many other options (besides starting over) as far as single player gameplay is concerned.

Bowl Bound is the best text-based college football simulation I’ve played and I look forward to future versions of this fine game.

The major issue plaguing Madden 07 is this: at it's most basic, there is no fatigue whatsoever. After the excellent implementation of fatigue in "NCAA Football 07," it's a mystery why this fundamental aspect of football is absent from the pro version.

It's simplistic in the initial stages, but deep down, this is a fun, surprisingly deep game that can keep you interested for quite a while.

There is room for improvement in execution of strategy and AI but it looks great, sounds great and is fun to play.

It is inexcusable to omit adding intelligent substitution and foul AI.

Games for this kind of system are supposed to be fun, simple and not terribly time-consuming. Viewed in this light, NBA Live 06 is a success, but real hoops fans will undoubtedly spend more of their gaming time on more fleshed-out console titles, and keep Live around as a quick artificially-basketball-flavored snack for their PSP.

While Tiger Woods himself continues to reach new heights in his golf game, the Tiger Woods PGA Tour franchise also made noticeable improvements in the last year.

A great, yet somewhat short, Career Mode, a bevy of online features, a fantastic Challenge Mode that will drive you crazy with replay factor, great looks, great courses, and the strongest simulation engine that I've seen on a console, will keep this title in your Xbox hours and hours per week.

There’s no doubt that World Rally Championship is the best rally game on the PS2 to date, but it will also disappoint as many people as it impresses.

Very close to being a revolution in portable sports gaming. The gameplay is the best I've seen in this year's baseball titles, and the graphics all but equal those of the PS2. However, a complete lack of all the features we have come to expect from a modern sports game means that apart from exhibition games, MLB just doesn't have the depth to stand on it's own.

My front runner for the fighting game of the year. While it does lack the variety of match types that Smackdown offers, it I believe is just as much fun, if not more fun than "Smackdown."

It is still overshadowed by “NBA Live” and ‘NCAA Football”, and still feels a bit like an amalgam of the two, but it’s starting to come into it’s own.

Only four things hold Tiger Woods PGA Tour back from true gaming greatness: the abysmal load times, the slightly off-kilter analog nub swing system, better multiplayer capability, and true online... er, "Infrastructure" play.

For the Madden fans that want a good football game on the road, there isn't a better game available. Speeding up the franchise mode would help out tremendously, as well as programming the AI running backs to see - and hit - the hole better.

Yes, there are quirks here and there, but the single player modes like Career and Franchise are exceptional for this title. Online play is implemented extremely well.

A snowboarders game. Graphically it's not going to blow your mind, but with a deep career mode and wicked tricks you will get your money's worth. Plus, this game is more about snowboarding than "SSX Tricky."

I can’t think of one thing that will bring me back to it for my F1 fix.

Through the deeper story mode, the sense of reality created through the L.A. environments, and the rock-solid Xbox Live experience, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland accomplishes all of those things. Whether it's your first or seventh Tony Hawk purchase, it's still worth every penny.

The nice thing is, unlike FIFA, you don't see the spectacular move all that often, so when you do you really appreciate it even more.

To be honest, this game has a stubborn American like me excited to watch the World Cup next month. That's an accomplishment, EA!

This is the perfect game to play when you have a buddy or two over and want to get in a quick 30 minute beatdown of them.

There’s a heck of a lot more competition out there. But, what they do, they do very well. It’s a fun arcade racer in single player and a blast of an arcade racer online.

Gameplay is a definite mixed bag but I think there is more good than bad, and it's a great game, if you can get past the quirky bugs.

MLB 07: The Show plays a fantastically realistic and remarkably fun game on the field - in fact, it's perhaps the best on-field baseball game ever created, and certainly the best one this year.

With all of the features and fun that Slugfest has, the game has a problem with longevity. After you have unlocked all of the extras there really isn’t much else to play for.

The best thing to do would be to take the ExtraTime stadiums, scenarios mode and gameplay and merge it with FIFA's incredible play by play and graphics.
