Viking: Battle for Asgard is a solid action game that takes elements from Creative Assembly’s Total War series, and adds quick time events and sand-box gameplay. It’s a great romp if you don’t mind the button bashing.

Mario Party: Star Rush is a tight collection of mini games which are fun even in single player. It’s just too bad that the main modes which encapsulate them aren’t entertaining at all. If you can overlook the grind, then it’s worth playing for the mini games. If you can’t, I’d look for a party elsewhere.

I found Wii Party to be pretty average in terms of presentation, though I did enjoy the different costumes for the Miis in each game, as well as some pretty convincing animations when someone wins or loses.

It might not be worth playing if you have a console copy of BUZZ! in your home, but for long road trips or prolonged ventures outside the house, it’s definitely worth looking into.

Better than the sum of its parts, the game offers an arcade experience with a little more room to muck around and a little more scope for customising things than is usually offered.

Let's use a food-based analogy: imagine you had only a few minutes for lunch and had to grab a snack. The Facebook version of Bejeweled Blitz would be a Maccas Happy Meal, on the house; whereas Bejeweled Blitz Live would be one of those low carb protein bars in a shiny foil wrapper. Both provide sustenance on the run, but one is meatier and more satisfying than the other… and it's free.

This is a rather shortlived experience that dives head first into a pit of tedium after some early promise.

It's nothing new, kinda hard and far from the prettiest game in the room.

If you can overcome the technical shortcomings, impenetrable plot, and the game overstaying its welcome (the last couple of hours drag on), you’ll find a well-crafted game.

If you want to relive the experience you loved ten years ago, get this game, but prepare to feel that crushing weight of nostalgia.

It’s the kind you pick up if you love tennis and have a poster of Sharapova on your bedroom ceiling.

I think fans will have a lot of fun with this one, as long as they take this for what it is: a platformer released on an aging console, with a helluva lot of personality and charm – a little like Homer himself.

For its target audience then, this game is a winner. The up sell also has to be the education value. The game teaches new words and encourages them along the way to become more proficient at using a keyboard.

Once you've beaten the two and a quarter hour experience you'll find little to go back for.

Yes, it looks wonderful and, yes, it sounds pretty good too. But that’s about as far as the praise can be stretched.

Beautifully simple but challenging, addictive, and guaranteed to work those cranial muscles thanks to the logic and scientific themes in every level.

Personally I’m afraid that Flock’s gameplay quirks will harm the experience for many gamers. I didn’t find them game-wrecking by any stretch of the imagination, but there will be some people who will throw their hands up in despair.

It’s a diamond in the rough, though, and this jankiness is a mild distraction at worst. The appeal of Mafia III is the stories it tells – both the textual narrative, and the multitude of emergent ones that come from simply existing in a place as rich and complex as New Bordeaux. It certainly has its flaws, but in balancing the over-the-top action of a crime game with a pointed look at real-life racism, and in its fantastic re-creation of the ‘60s American South, Mafia III has achieved something special.

I like Digimon World: Next Order better than Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Overall, we liked Battlefield Play4Free. The formula of quick, full-on combat makes this a game you can pick up and play when you have a spare 15 minutes or so.

Sore fingers aside though, The Simpsons Arcade Game not that difficult.

It looks good, plays well and is a bit too short.

A game that’s atmospheric as hell, but that does nothing with it.

Enjoyable and frustrating in equal measure.

Impossibly cool, but also impossible.

Whether you go to whole-hog and play in 3D, or your budget only extends to 2D, the games are all largely the same as when they were originally released - only brighter and sharper.
