The single best platformer on the iPhone. If you want a better game, you'll have to lay hands on a Nintendo DS to play New Super Mario Bros. And even then, Giana Sisters stacks up for its fantastic art direction, unique creature designs and the fact that the entire game world isn't the product of a bizarre acid trip.- No DPad

While the lack of music definitely does nothing to enhance the game, there is already so much high quality content that Dinosaur Slayer is without a doubt a must have for its magnificent art style and surprisingly deep and enjoyable combat system.- No DPad

Overall, Sword of Fargoal is currently the best roguelike game in the App Store, and will probably remain so for quite a long time, if not forever.- No DPad

If you've got an itch for beating monsters senseless, then I can't think of anyone better to scratch it than Tehra. In fact, she can scratch me anytime she likes.- No DPad

It's awesome, the graphics are great, and the gameplay isn't too shabby. Sure, there's room for improvement. And if you didn't like the first one, you definitely won't like this. But honestly, compared to the competition, you really can't ask for more.- No DPad

Aralon is quite simply the best RPG on the App Store. I can't really say enough about it, but man, Galoobeth and Crescent Moon have really outdone themselves.- No DPad

Absolutely stunning. This stands as one of my all-time favorite games for the iPad, considering the fact that there's so much to do and so little time.- No DPad

As a sequel, Blue Defense: Second Wave captures everything that was great about the first game, refines it, builds upon it, ups the ante manifold.- No DPad

Overall, Samurai 2 Vengence is a very solid game that shows the potential of the kinds of games the iDevices can handle despite lacking the processing power of a PC or modern console.- No DPad

I would like to see some improvements in speed and multiplayer match-ups, but other than that, Shadow Era is a game that you won't want to miss out on. Plus, it's free. You can't really get any cheaper than that.- No DPad

Modern Combat 3 is absolutely brilliant, and I find myself continually playing the online multiplayer everyday. The single player is also quite robust and diverse, giving Modern Combat 3 a well-balanced gameplay between shooting bad guys and mini-games, such as shooting soldiers on an AC-130.- No DPad

But I'm a sucker for space shooters and now it's turned me completely on my head. I've been mining the app store for gems, and in Space Miner I've struck pay dirt. Like comets, games like this are rarely seen. Don't let this one pass you by.- No DPad

Without question, Wild Frontier is my new favorite Korean RPG. The game looks great and breaks the KRPG mold in a number of significant ways. It includes items for in-app purchase, but these items are entirely optional and intended to enhance the game; they are not necessary to complete it.- No DPad

Heavy Mach 2 offers a semi-casual mech-combat game with lite RPG elements, somewhat imperfect and lacking in depth, but overall a brilliant game that's easy to recommend. With standout controls, excellent visuals and nonstop action, Heavy Mach 2 should not be missed by mech fans or action gamers.- No DPad
