The little toy cars can still initiate nostalgia in the older crowd, but Hot Wheels All Out misses that quality. Without it, it fails as a purely entertaining racer and gaming veterans will not like it. But as a budget title for young kids in the minivan ride to grandma's house, it has some tread.

As it stands, this title's shortcomings hold it back from being appropriate for anything but the most dedicated fans of the show or platforming games.

Nevertheless, Wordmaster is what it is and does not try to be anything more. Like its included instruction manual, it is a no-frills take on familiar concept.

It is a fast, kick-ass wicked ride that just kept me coming back for more. In short, it is an excellent video game and few games reach that status in my book.

Had developers put the extra effort into interface and fuller options for the core treasures rather than including all the throwaway titles this could have been a stellar collection. As it is, Midway Arcade Treasures holds a tenuous spot at strictly average, teetering on below average.

When it all comes down to it, only HUGE fans of the Halle Berry film should pick this up.

I found this game too tough to really get into it. Racing fans who don't mind a stiff challenge should get a real kick out of it.

Mazes Of Fate is more a love letter from its developers to the beloved PC adventure games of yore than an enjoyable experience.

A decent effort that can still be improved both in terms of car and course line-ups, and the control scheme. However, I like that the game keeps you honest with a health meter for your car so you can’t go apeshit on everything.

I won’t lie; I’m a bit disappointed with Legends.

While I'm not a big fan of the TBS genre, I looked forward to Rebelstar because of its apocalyptic storyline, cute anime characters, and the opportunity to blow up little gray aliens. Unfortunately, the game's pace (particularly the frequent loading times) kept me from ever feeling thoroughly entertained.

Kids who just can’t get enough of High School Musical will eat up Sing It!. But fans of the karaoke genre, and even those same kids who worship the ground Sharpay and Chad dance on, might want to think twice before plunking down their $60 to purchase the game and microphone bundle -- there just isn’t enough content to justify the price of the game, not to mention a few flaws.

There are definitely other small missteps, such as the lack of control options, but Heracles: Chariot Racing shines because of its mythological setting, with stellar course pieces and style.

Games aren’t beauty pageants, though, and while this game looks good, it isn’t really that interesting.

Compared to the father of this genre, Whirl Tour can (and most likely will) turn into a session of tedium and bore.

I played for half an hour on my GBA SP and started getting pains in my wrists. It would have been a much sounder decision to have only one attack button and use A to jump.

Whether gamers will attach to this one is a matter of taste; younger players who have played the life out of Nintendogs and other pet simulators may find World of Zoo a worthwhile, new distraction.

Like most women in the single scene these days, it looks good from afar but it's far from good. The hype of voice acting, stylish soundtrack, and unique comic book presentation may draw you in but the weak gameplay experience will have you running for cover.

However, for the adventure fans still looking for a fix, go back and give Twilight Princess another playthrough instead.

Wild Earth: African Safari feels like a game on the fence. It doesn't know whether it wants to be a serious, realistic photo safari sim or a lighthearted romp for younger players.

It may be a strange thing to concede, but the Gamecube port of RE4, with tacked on Wii remote functionality, trumps this Wii-developed title in almost every department.

There is absolutely nothing upgraded in Wolfenstein 3D for its GBA romp, and with the game being so simple, this accounts for most of the damage done to its overall score.

I found this freedom to be restricted by tight controls. Put plainly, the D-pad sucks. Had the controls been more sensitive, Oscar's movement would have been more fluid, players would have gotten a better representation of the underwater environment, and my hands would hurt much less.

Unfortunately, the experience as a whole, deep as it may be, is as tethered as the remote and nunchuk.

MySims Party is attempting to be a party game collection that people will turn to. The problem is there are better games that do the same thing already.

Taken as a whole, Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain certainly has a lot going for it. Unfortunately, unclear mechanics, uneven difficulty, uncomfortable controls, and some serious glitches and hiccups do a lot of damage to the overall experience.

Korg is definitely a flawed product. It isn’t very user friendly, the interface is cluttered, the sound quality is disappointing, and some options are too limited while others are too numerous.

The best praise that can be given to Sonic Unleashed is to call it a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, the game is heavily weighted towards its werewolf stages.
