You'll need to be the kind of person who truly enjoys word-search puzzles in order to enjoy this game, because this is a very plain, no-frills release that will otherwise bore you to tears.

Every puzzle can be finished by anybody relatively clever in about an hour, after which there's practically nothing else to do. Add to this the very cheap feel of the game and it's probably not something you'd want to spend points on.

Assoria certainly have made good use of the DSi camera, although it's a bit of a shame that the camera isn't quite good enough to provide a quality gameplay experience wherever you go.

Taking cues from other gaming genres in an attempt to keep you hooked, The Amazing Brain Train! is a mildly interesting collection of minigames at best.

Each cunningly crafted level is packed full of pixelated goodness, and the layouts gradually become trickier as you near the end.

Despite the fact that you'll occasionally find it hard to see what you're doing the gameplay is very tight and addictive; though it would have been nice to have initials or Miis rather than generic names against high scores. If you're at all a fan of the genre you should definitely give it a go!

The game itself is easy and fun to play, the characters are charming and the graphics are adorable, and multiplayer would be great for bringing in the kids for some good old-fashioned family fun, but the headaches and eye strain are not worth it. Unless you've got an HDTV and perfect vision, don't bother looking for this one unless you've got the patience necessary for plenty of trial and error.

Graphically it looks good, the audio isn't bad either and it's hard to see where it puts a foot wrong. The removal of its big brother's multiplayer mode knocks it back, limiting this to a totally solo pursuit, but in DSiWare’s limited sporting library you'll struggle to find a more enjoyable game of golf.

As impressive as the overall gameplay system is, download play could have easily made this a must-have title for Texas Hold 'Em fans, but without it the game can really only be recommended for those looking for a challenging solo experience.

Tumblebugs 2 takes a very successful (and overcrowded) genre and adds some new power-ups and flashier graphics to the familiar formula. Other than those upgrades, there is nothing here that cannot be found in countless other similar games... on the PC.

Whilst the number of games implies a lot of bang for your buck, their limited duration and simplistic nature might limit long-term appeal and we think a "less is more" approach, featuring fewer games with deeper play mechanics and goals would have been a better development route.

There’s a decent core game here, but the graphical issues of the first game are still intact and frustrating, and the save system might drag things down depending on how and where you tend to play.

Even with the online components removed, Fieldrunners is still very fun and addictive tower defence game and a welcome addition to the DSiWare library. There’s hours of fun to be had here, and even if you’re reaching the genre saturation point it's worth a look.

There are better sudoku games in the DSi Shop at the moment, so unless you're an advanced player who doesn't like to fill in their own candidates and already knows what a "Swordfish" and an "X-wing" are, there's no need to kill yourself trying to wrap your head around this title.

Watching their antics is fun for a while, but gradually you'll find yourself paying more attention to the actual game at hand, which isn't bad - in fact, loading times aside, it's perfect for doctors' offices, car trips, or any other short periods of time where you don't want to get fully involved in a longer game.

We considered the possibility this game might be a gag with the kind of crappy 3D glitches you'd have seen on an old PlayStation or PC game, but if that's the case we didn't find it terribly amusing. Calaris were right not to attempt any promotion of this turd, but we would have preferred that they simply hadn't bothered releasing it and spared us having to review it.

Scrabble is an indisputable word game classic and those with a penchant for the genre will gobble this up. A few cuts on DSiWare make the 500-point App Store version the better choice for those who also own an Apple handheld, but this is an otherwise competent adaptation of Scrabble for when you just want to get some spelling on.

Real Football 2010 plays a great game of football and there’s stacks of content here for DSiWare footie first-timers. If you’ve already paid for last year’s entry there’s no point in shelling out for this one too, as there simply isn’t enough new content to justify the 800 Points, but footie newcomers should make this their next transfer target.

An exercise in frustration. Though it looks and sounds great, it suffers from shoddy hit detection, hard-to-read fonts, and moments of slowdown that make precision platforming nigh impossible.

Ultimately, though, Let's Golf has less content, for the same price - And for that, we have to give the edge to the game that was already available.

While it’s on the short side, a bit simplistic and isn’t the most impressive game on the block, GhostSlayer manages to fall on the right side of fun for 600 Points and is worth a spin if you don’t mind a few blemishes.

Mouse House isn't a bad puzzler and is certainly a nice-looking game. We feel younger players who like puzzling about with cute characters will enjoy it, but for most fans of the genre there simply isn't enough content or challenge here to occupy them for long.

We say if you spend your 500 points on this unplayable mess you will most definitely not get something worth what you paid.

Don't be fooled by its adorable exterior - Aura-Aura Climber offers an addictive arcade-style experience children and adults alike will enjoy. This surprisingly complex game features intuitive controls and fluid gameplay that will have you hooked as soon as you've finished the tutorial.

Flips: Terror in Cubicle Four isn't too interesting a story, but the way it's presented is likely to appeal to the younger ones. Obviously, buying the retail game is better value for your money, but if you'd like to try out one story to see if you'd like the rest of the package, then this isn't too bad of a deal for 500 DSi Points.

Dart Rage is miles better than its downloadable competition and worth a go if you're down with flinging fake metal spears.

If you're already a fan of tennis, you'll probably have some fun with this game, but newbies will want to give this one a pass.

If you're a simulation nut you'll get the most out of this game, but strategy fans and even minigame lovers should not walk away disappointed.
