You could play much of it one-handed (er, so to speak), but nonetheless, this is an engaging beat-'em-up with (marginally) more brain than boob.

This substantial race-against-the-clock ball puzzler will reduce even the most hardcore player to a sobbing emotional wreck in need of institutionalisation. In a good way. Not one for the lazy. [May 2007, p.54]

The "game" itself is entirely unchanged, with the same old firsbee competititions, agility and obedience trials. [Aug 2006, p.66]

There was nothing wrong with it last time, and this is the same except with a more polished track editor. Top stuff for real driving fans. [July 2008, p.69]

It controls really well and it handles heavy gunfire better than "Red Steel." Shame that it's just the same old Call of Duty experience all over again. [January 2007, p.48]

A great, less-serious complement to "Brain Training," far and away the more accessible of the two and less prone to human error and recognition niggles. [Aug 2006, p.60]

If you're good enough, it'll last ages. If you're just an amateur dabbler, at least you'll get to see the ending. What's not to like? [Dec 2006, p.32]

Working yourself into a state of anaemia hasn't - well, actually it has been this much fun before, but with added animal touchery this will still delight. [Nov 2006, p.64]

Really get into it and you'll spend weeks finding the perfect 'solutions". For everyone else, this is a rare actioner on Wii, and very competently handheld. [JPN Import; Mar 2009, p.58]

Liberation Maiden is a solid shooter with top-notch presentation (the cut-scenes by anime studio Bones are superb) and frantic action. It's by no means the longest game in the world so only high score fiends will get the best out of it, but if you fall into that category this is well worth your £7.19.
