In the end I became dangerously addicted to Has-Been Heroes. I couldn’t put the game down because of how much depth there is to the gameplay. Chaining melee and spell attacks across the 3 heroes and landing a ton of damage on an enemy is incredibly satisfying. Or that rewarding feeling you get when finally figuring out a strategy to defeat the boss and progressing further into the game. Make no mistake, Has-Been Heroes is a hard game and not for the faint of heart but if you enjoy a fun, rewarding challenge, at $20 it’s a must have for your Switch collection.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Kamiko is a fun pick-up and play experience, with great visuals, good gameplay, and makes for a fun retro-inspired experience. It’s worth exploring the game with each of the 3 characters just to see how different they actually play, which adds some replay value to the title. If you are looking for an inexpensive game for a weekend playthrough, Kamiko is a good pick.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The story has enough to keep you engaged and the inclusion of Star Fox is inspired. I don’t think this is the game that will reboot the toys-to-life genre, but I believe that it has enough to live on as a standard IP. I, for one, would be delighted to play through more adventures in the Starlink universe.- Nintendo Enthusiast

I dare to say Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is one of the best first-person shooters that’s on the Nintendo Switch. It may not be the most complete experience, (It took me around 6 hours to finish.) but it’s a fun enough experience that I instantly wanted to replay it on a harder difficulty. Should you want to fill out the various skill trees and collecting the remaining “Nuggets of Truth,” you’ll be receiving another 8-10 hours of glorious arcade shooting.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Ultimately, Strikey Sisters is an excellent value for its price, with exciting arcade gameplay that is as accessible to adults as it is to children. This could be a great game for bridging a generation gap.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The game isn’t perfect, and the retro gaming style may not appeal to everyone, but if you are looking for a retro gaming history lesson, Life of Pixel is a must own.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Other than that, the game is nice little package. It’s bursting with color and charm and the gameplay, while not new, is still pretty fun. While this definitely isn’t the kind of game that you’d be expecting to play on a home console, it’s still nice to have nonetheless. At only $5, Sunbreak Games’ semi-infinite runner should be a great addition to anyone looking for a fun, simple game for younger Wii U players.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, you’re getting a massive amount of content in Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, with the port of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag being one of the more impressive examples of an open-world game on Nintendo’s handheld and Assassin’s Creed Rogue being worthy of a playthrough if you haven’t yet played it. The collection features two complete open-world experiences that are still a joy to play.- Nintendo Enthusiast

In the end, Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria doesn’t add nothing new to the genre but as a modern entry, it nails the retro experience despite its flaws and some archaic choices: it is truly a love letter to the golden era of JRPG games.- Nintendo Enthusiast

All in all, I didn’t expect to like Pokken Tournament DX as much as I ended up liking it. The learning curve and adjustment were pretty brutal, but once I got in tune with how the game operated, I found myself playing for hours and hours. If you didn’t pick up the Wii U version of the game, I highly suggest you check out Pokken Tournament DX as it really is the best version of the game. If you are a Wii U veteran of the series, there may not be enough here to warrant a second purchase, but diehard Pokken fans will want to check it out. Pokken Tournament DX is another fantastic Switch release and a game that fighting fans will want to check out.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Alone or with friends, Extreme Exorcism is a fun game with a lot of content, great soundtrack and solid controls. If playing with friends is a big deal to you, this is not a title you can avoid adding to your collection.- Nintendo Enthusiast

This sequel surpasses expectations by going bigger and better than before. The gorgeously illustrated graphics, fun boss fights, and multiple gameplay types amount to a great new installment in the (hopefully) ever-growing franchise.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The base management is a little inconsequential, the interface has some clutter, and the persistent online connection requirement will be a wall for some, but none of that changes the fact that Volta-X is an outstanding strategic combat experience. Building new loadouts and testing new strategies is addicting and delightful, and a perfect online experience means there is tremendous replay value if you have a friend with the game or if the PvP scene continues to grow.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Amnesia: Collection is a faithful port of the classic horror franchise. Despite the aged graphics, the gameplay and scares hold up incredibly well, even in handheld mode. While I don’t ever expect to be playing it this way (in order to prevent a situation like that in the trailer), having the ability to more easily take Amnesia on the go is always a good thing in my book. If you’ve never experienced Amnesia before, there’s never been a better time to dive into it than now!- Nintendo Enthusiast

I was a big fan of Sniper Elite 3 on Xbox One, and I really like Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition on Switch. While it doesn’t have quite the same visual impact on Nintendo’s hardware, it is still a good-looking game. And the actual adventure is as good as ever. It’s a big step up from Sniper Elite V2 in terms of the narrative, map layout, and visuals. There are loads of content on offer here. If you rush through the main game you can finish in around 8 hours, but you’ll more likely spend somewhere between 15 and 30 hours working your way through the campaign. The extra single player missions are really nice and show how good Rebellion is at crafting stories. Including the DLC is a nice touch and makes this an absolute bargain at an already budget price.- Nintendo Enthusiast

With great art, strategy and music Lucadian Chronicles will likely be a card fan-favorite. Though at times loading was a bit slow, music was repetitive, and during dialogue interactions, music or sound was absent, this game made me want more.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Ultimately, with Killer Queen Black, there are layers of complicated, dragging tutorials, confusing menus, and gameplay generally unfriendly to newcomers. But past that, there is an exciting, unique, and thoughtful title that will have you and your friends frantically testing out all kinds of different roles, plans, and contingencies on the fly.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Bloodroots‘ cartoony action kept me engaged through its entire campaign. While it can be more difficult to enjoy handheld due to the likes of Nintendo Switch Lite’s smaller screen, the gameplay is utterly unique and justifies a playthrough. There’s enough in the mechanics to entice even the most uninterested individuals to get involved in score-chasing, and the overall narrative is uniquely weird enough to entice someone looking for something different from these sorts of games.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Strike! Ten Pin Bowling doesn’t do anything super crazy with the formula, but it doesn’t really have to. This is still a charming, well-put-together little bowling title that’ll allow you to have fun without going to a real alley (or if you’re like me, there isn’t even one to go to in real life).- Nintendo Enthusiast

This is the quintessential video game for the Switch. People who travel often should buy Flat Heroes. If you like challenging gameplay, buy Flat Heroes. If playing with friends is your ideal way to experience a game, buy Flat Heroes. What I’m trying to say is that Flat Heroes is a game that all Switch owners should have in their library. It’s a fantastic experience that I will be playing for months to come.- Nintendo Enthusiast
