All of the sound effects are top notch. My only gripe is with the voice acting. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but it definitely leaves something to be desired.

All of the changes and new features were all for the better, and any wrestling fan will be happy with this game.

It's the perfect mix of old school mech action with an arcade feel to it.

And it's not so much the backgrounds or stadiums, which don't get me wrong look great, but the animation of the players. EA Sports has always managed to get the players running, tackling, goalkeeping, and kicking right on the money. Even better than last year's game.

There isn't enough of a difference between this game and Outrun2 to make it worth respending $30 on.

With all of the levels and the variety of mini-games that are included, you will find yourself enjoying this game for a long time.

The fact that you use Bongos as the controller may seem very weird at first, but once you get the hang of it, the game is extremely fun and also very addictive.

The thing that makes Sid Meyer's Pirates! a must-have Xbox game is the complete openness of it.

But at least gamers on the Xbox 360 get a couple of cool features that others don’t get this year like Live Opponent and Madden Gamer Level.

They still do not have a fun game, but simply a collection of features… maybe the next time around they will have a fun game… one can always hope.

The mountain contains some incredibly cool tracks and slopes to ride down. Unfortunately the mountain is not that huge, although some of the races are incredibly long. You'll just hit a lot of the same places over and over again.

It is quite easy to write about the few design missteps in Invisible War but I’ve found it hard to explain the magic it has to grab you in and not let go.

The one thing that I loved was the boxing game. Fighting a robot and kicking the snot out of it was just totally fun. I was laughing and just having a great time during the bout. I don’t know, maybe I am a total cheese ball.

Whether you’re trying to find rare ingredients to try that next spell on your list, testing out new recipes or just making sure your Sims crap when they need to… this game is still very capable of stealing large portions of your life from you.

What I think is the most significant about the game is that it takes the movie's story, but it doesn't deviate from the gameplay that makes Spider-Man so fun. And this time it's very open ended.

It is an intense game, and if that is what you want to get then you can't go wrong here, if you just want a game to jump in get a few kills and stop, then look elsewhere.

In the end I must say this game does a great job of simulating the experience of Axis and Allies the board game, just updated and enhanced with the power of a computer.

I didn’t think anyone could make WWII seem boring, but man the cut scenes in this game are lame.

This is indeed the best version of WWE Smackdown there has been yet. To be honest, it's really the best wrestling game out there right now.

Although I personally prefer to have myself a nice little base I can call home, with turret defenses tracking the moves of all my enemies before they even see my base, this was a nice step away from the norm.

Nothing is more basketball than humiliating your opponent with ball handling and dribbling, and the Freestyle Control offers the gratification and humiliation experienced by any player no a court that was just faked out in front of a sell-out crowd.

Tomb Raider fans finally once again have that must-have.

Look, the only real downside to this game is that it's pretty much a near identical port of MotoGP 3. A couple new tracks, a couple new bikes. But overall, it's the same game with a new coat of paint. That paint just happens to be the prettiest coat you've ever seen. New MotoGP players are going to drool over this game. Veterans of the series have a reason to trade their current versions in. Even as a near port, this is still one helluva racing game.

I do wish they would have made the game similar to the brand new PS2 game with all it's new game modes instead of a simple port of the past games. But this is a start, and the addition of downloading new songs so the game doesn't get old is a pretty good thing.

The game has a great fun feel too it, from little quirks like an arcade filled with Activision classics such as Pitfall, Call of Duty and River Raid, to a school girl outfit wearing nymphomaniac vampire and her power hungry business woman sister who continually fight and bicker; moronic ghouls (vampires grunts), cheating doctors that you can blackmail for some easy cash.

It's fresh, it's a lot of fun, and it's simple. You can't ask for much more than that.

SSX is missing a couple of key elements that would have put it on the same level as "Amped"; namely online gameplay. But the trade-off is a very good control system that you have to get used to.

Computer AI is the big problem, it's sometimes frustratingly hard, and unrealistic. But that's it. Everything else about ESPN College Hoops is gravy.

"Tiger Woods" will remain the top golf game on the Playstation 2. But on the Xbox, Links is the way to go. Presentation and gameplay are very much equal between the two, but online gameplay is what sets Links apart. It deserves to be your golf game this year on the Xbox.

The backgrounds look as gorgeous as any snowboarding game I've seen, with lots of lush snow, trees, houses and lodges, and other objects strewn about. The mountain courses are linked together, and well built.

And the gameplay is improved a good deal from last year, giving you more of a realistic feel while maintaining a fast-paced arcadey kind of feel.

If you enjoy flight sims (remember, no combat), then I have little doubt that you will enjoy the breadth of options, landscape, airports and aircraft that this game will provide for you.

Solid game play combined with spectacular graphics and sound make this title a winner. The rich story line and role-playing elements will keep you busy for a good while. I see myself completely dedicating a few weekends to this game alone.

I had to pull myself away from the game to actually write this review, how is that for a recommendation.

My only gripe is a lack of multiplayer mode. It's fun, but not as fun as you and a friend taking the Bydo head on. Still, Fresh Games, Eidos, and Irem get kudos for giving us one more memory of R-Type, and the excellence it maintained all this time.

The game starts out fun, but after awhile it can become very boring.

The Single player campaign will last you about 10 hours, but with the added and improving multiplayer mode, there is tons of replay value in Lost Planet.

If you are looking for a game full of non-stop action and not much thought involved, Otogi 2 is the game for you.

I do think that the player control is a little stiffer on the 360 than on the Xbox.

What it does lack is a good multiplayer element. That makes the game seem "done" once you beat it. It isn't a short game to beat, but after you're done there's no online play to make you go back to it.

The action-RPG element really gave Raven Soft the ability to expand on the characters and give you more control than you've ever had with them.

They took a classic game and added some nice features without damaging the core too much.

Tricks are easy to do, and the runs are really well designed. Especially in the challenge mode, which is exactly what it should be doing; presenting a challenge. Rails and jumps everywhere!

NBA Live '06 gives you a helluva good game; solid on both sides of the ball. On the downside, there isn't as much innovation as you might be hoping for.

The Total Team Controls add a new level of depth to the series that makes things much more interesting.

I really can't imagine why Blue Shift would go three steps back in the graphics and sound department.

It puts a whole new spin on the series and it is as good as it is going to get in terms of being a portable version of the game we all know and like.

Ripping samples off of CD's and making your own beats is pretty addicting. My only negatives are the lack of true sample ripping from any source like you've been able to do in the past, and the lack of song choice.

Probably the biggest flaw of this Story Mode is that it only lasts a year. Once you go to Wrestlemania and win the World Title (which you are required to do), the game ends.

What starts out as just another "corridor FPS", turned into a game that grows as you play, and sucks you in.

The storyline, while cliché, has some interesting twists, and the progression of the narrative through the chapters, and increased sense of doom that occurs midway through the game as you face a orc horde backed by dragons leads to some interesting moments.

You will fall over laughing at some of the cut-scenes in the game. Very well done, and hilarious.

What has struck me most about Outrun2 is that Sega has designed the entire game around the original single-player arcade game, complete with slick car and cute girlfriend in the passenger seat, branching track levels, and yes, that familiar music. It's the same game I remembered playing so long ago, but with a total graphical upgrade for starters, and so much more under the hood!

Visually, it is incredible. The game play is solid and makes this game worth more than it’s weight in platinum.

It's got solid and easy-to-learn gameplay, a very good career mode, and online gameplay which to me always adds points to my score.

Great graphics, solid and familiar TM game play, and Wi-Fi online. How can you ask for more than that? It's goold old fashioned mayhem at it's best!

Moreso than previous years, the graphics in NHL 06 are very tight. Still not Visual Concepts spectacular, but getting there.

I love this game. It's one of those games that when you just don't want to play anything else, or your tired of the racing and sports games, this is something you can turn to that is fun yet challenging. And playing online is a blast.

The best thing about this title is that it was clearly made for the fans of the show.

A very unique game. The minute your space ship lands in the city, Alien Hominid is non-stop booger-nosed funk action from top to bottom.

It's got it's small issues, like the figity analog stick, and lack of anything other than ad-hoc multiplayer gaming. But in the grand scheme of things, this is definitely the best handheld version of Tiger Woods yet!

Definitely better than the first game. It's better than "Fallout." But it loses points on the biggest component it needed to compete with the upcoming "Champions of Norrath"; online gameplay. The fact is, if you have two games of similar quality, chances are you're heading for the one that's online.

Bad Fur Day is just hilarious and while it's nothing genre-changing the multiplayer gaming is fun to play and tries to give you a lot.

The tilesets offer a little more variety than modifying lighting on older tilesets to accomplish the same visual effects and thank Mordenkainen they improved the system for setting creature waypoints.

From the bottom of the pack, 989 Sports has brought it's Baseball series from the brink of horrible, and just made such a turnaround. From online gameplay to a dynamite graphics, I would be unfair and wrong if I didn't give this game the score I did.

Metal Gear fans who don’t usually read graphic novels will definitely enjoy the Metal Gear Solid DGN. If you’re willing to work for it, you’ll get lots of information about the games and characters in the Metal Gear universe, which any Metal Gear fan should love.

Blitz: The League gives a new meaning to smash mouth football.

This is a rental title, plain and simple.
