Another year, another FIFA, another great game. This time the series is back with more gameplay and mode improvements which EA hope will help the title remain the number one football game on PSP.

Chinatown Wars on PSP doesn't push the hardware like it did on the DS, and the presence of two GTA's episodes with the "real" 3d graphics will probably left some users slightly disappointed. But overall, this is the best version of the game; a great game, by the way.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers is obviously aimed at fans of the anime series who will enjoy their favourite characters and locations. To a more casual player however it looks like a mish-mash of rules and concepts, frustrating and slow paced: just too empty to be enjoyed by players not interested in the source franchise.

Playing Astro Boy: The Videogame feels like being thrown back to the 8-bit era, when almost every tie-in was a crappy game. And Astro Boy is indeed a crappy game.

Despite an aged graphic and a lack of personality, Ranger push Elven Legacy mechanics foreword with a better balanced difficulty level and a lot of different heroes to play with.

Space Invaders Extreme 2 uses the dual screen in the right way, improving the already excellent gameplay that characterized the first episode of the series. The game is immediate and engaging, with a good balance of difficulty and an awesome mix of graphics and sound.

Winter of the Melodias is better and more complete than the first LostWinds, even more unique and poetic; fortunately it's still short, as every haiku should be.

Magic: Duels of Planeswalkers is a perfect replica of the classic card game formula. The only drawbacks are the limited amount of available cards and the fact that you can't create a set of those from scratches, with just the options to combine a few bonus cards with the basic sets provided to the player. Multiplayer and Co op modes will last for many hours, balancing the limited amount of available cards.

We have the chance to take part in a journey that for style and atmosphere has not been experienced before; not in the videogame industry.

Axel & Pixel looks and plays like a graceful and fresh add to Xbox Live Arcade line up, and a good game for graphic adventures' fans. It's a bit short and easy, and its look may not appeal to everyone.

Playing Brutal Legend is like walking the stairway to the hell of Metal, a fierce battle through a world where glam headbangers and sad emos are your worst enemies. The game looks like a simple hack'n'slash but beyond the surface there's much more to do, including large battles in rts style.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves takes all the best from the first chapter and improve it even further. Technically speaking the game is amazing from every point of view, the gameplay mechanic is varied, involving and spectacular. The multiplayer is surprisengly solid and funny, and push the longevity far beyond Drake's Fortune. A must buy, not only for PS3 owner.

A Boy and His Blob takes a little for meshing and almost all the first "world" slips away without any particular emotion. The eighty playable stages make up for the lack of alternative modes to the main one, that's deliberately simple and immediate: the boy wakes up, calls his friend blob and runs every time for a new adventure.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games does not upset the formula that distinguished the previous episode of the series, with twenty minigames more or less enjoyable.

A really classical Jrpg with a good mix of strategy and action, recommended to all hardcore gamers. The main drawbacks are its average story and the too simple subquests.

Dreamkiller amuses for the time that lasts, about 8 hours. It is sold at budget price.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky does not add anything relevant to the series and it is not an evolution at all compared to Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Time. This installment is clearly designed to squeeze moneys out of the franchise, aiming to kids who will eventually love to enter the world of pokémons once again.

Cities XL is a fresh and innovative game. It is graphically beautiful and full of interesting features that set it to the top of the genre. Unfortunately there are some issues with the online.

Lucidity has stiff commands and some of the levels seems drawn at random, but it has a fantastic visual style.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is a solid FPS, with nice graphics and an excellent online mode. It is a pity that not much has been done for the single player campaign, since the eleven available missions are too short and repetitive.

Aside from the creature editor -which is indeed a nice touch- Spore Hero is a pretty forgettable action game: it's kind of slow paced, the minigames aren't always very good and the combat system is really poor. It's a game for kids, and that's about it.

Star Wars brand's strength is really timeless, but it's not enough to save a game which is really too easy and too rough around the edges to be considered really worth of a videogamer's time and money.

Demon's Soul is a hard game that becomes an obsession after first few minutes of play: with a true feeling of danger and immersion in every moment, a innovative online game and a good level of challenge. One of the best PlayStation 3 games of the year.

This is a game that surely captures some of the hot spots which made the movie a cult one. Problems arise when you think about the not so satisfying combat system, the repetitive puzzles and the less than average graphics. If you are a real Saw fan you may actually consider a purchase.

NBA Live is back on track to try to get the crown of the best basketball game on the market. Still some things are missing to achieve this goal, but it's a highly enjoyable and fun basketball game.

Simply the best basketball simulation out there. Some gameplay mechanics could be better and players' faces would need a further improvement in the technical department. An highly recommended game and not just for basket fans.

Without bringing any true innovation to the RPG genre, after the Gothic's bug-experience Piranha Bytes gains its revenge with Risen, a game that every RPG lover will enjoy in every of its parts. Solidly based on the best elements of western RPGs, this game presents only some difficulties on the combat system that could discourage somebody, while for everyone else it's definitely a must-have.

Adam's Venture: The Search for the Lost Garden is clearly a budget title. It needs about two hours to be completed and delivers a very basic gameplay, with simple puzzles and poor exploration.
