Boom Beach delivers a deeper experience than Clash of Clans, letting you control your troops during the attacks. The game is also very well done from a technical standpoint.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is finally out of its niche thanks to a good blend of traditional jRPG gameplay and peculiar alchemy/crafting shenanigans. It has quite a few flaws, but it can easily appeal newcomers as well.

As a free game, Word Monsters is more than decent: however, it doesn’t take too long to see that it really doesn’t have much to offer.

A complex world to explore, packed with enemies and traps. The game design is consistent and controls work great here. But it gets tiring after few hours and it lacks true inspiration. Nevertheless it's an enjoyable ride.

This new Pac-Man is "just" a quite good game, but at the same time it is an old-style, almost-explorative 3D platform: a rarity, right now. A rarity, even in its averageness. If you like the genre, give it a try.

Ether One is an interesting first-person adventure that explores human mind and the causes of dementia in a very original way. Technically surprising, considering the low-budget nature of the title, it deserves to be tried, even if the slow pace could distance action-oriented players.

Surgeon Simulator on the iPad is mostly the same crazy, irritating and funny game that was on PC, with 2 more surgeries and a (if possible) worst control scheme.

Goat Simulator is the worst best game you have to play at all costs. It is unique, and definitely will grow thanks to its already active community.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends is exactly what we expected from an extended version of the last episode in the series: some new characters, a new campaign and a few minor changes to the gameplay.

Betrayer is a very interesting first person adventure, with several hardcore elements but also a lot of annoying things to deal with.

It has better graphics and more content than its predecessor, but also the same gameplay problems and way too much emphasis on IAPs: that’s why Flashout 2 feels a little bit disappointing, despite being a decent futuristic racer.

The Collectables is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the game's got some stunning graphics and lots of missions, on the other hand it's cumbersome when you have to move the team members individually.

Hearthstone is a polished, stylish and friendly collectible card game which offers tons of fun and challenge at no cost. It's still not very balanced - and probably will never be - and it lacks a trading system, but Blizzard managed to appeal both newcomers and veterans to the genre.

The best additions in Towerfall Ascension are not the most advertised ones. The new Quest Mode is a nice diversion but of course the cornerstone of the experience remains the Versus Mode, with great new arenas and customizations.

Frantic, crazy, immediate and fun. Luftrausers is Vlambeer at its best, with well-tuned gameplay mechanics and the possibility to customize your plane before jumping into a rain of bullets. A perfect fit for Vita.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight is a good take on the action RPG genre but the narrative goes too far just for the sake of shocking players and ends up being too invasive, strangling down a gameplay with too many features to take care of.
