This is a spectacular shooter/simulator with plenty of content, although flawed by chronic problems of the genre like repetitiveness and lack of variety in action.

Content and gameplay wise, Star Wars Battlefront II feels like a stellar sequel, with a great multiplayer experience and a thrilling starfighter mode. Too bad for a disappointing single player campaign and the messy progression system.

Doom is still one of the best first person shooters out there and the limited power provided by Nintendo Switch can't change this. Despite its ridiculous resolution and its low FPS, you can now enjoy the experience in full portability thanks to this porting.

Call of Duty: WWII is a solid shooter with a lot of content to play with and a beautiful gameplay. The campaign mode is well-written even if it's not so original, but it's in multiplayer that this chapter really shines. If you appreciated the brand and were bored by the latest iteration this is the right year to fall back in love.

Assassin's Creed Origins keeps many of the promises made, revolutionizing some of the traditional elements of the series and giving us a solid starting point in perspective. The PC version allows you to enjoy the experience at its best, up to native 4K and 60 frames per second.

Nights of Azure 2 basically rethreads the same mistakes which dragged the first game down but also make some adjustments to the formula that didn't really work out with us. In the end, Nights of Azure 2 is a disappointing sequel which lost the finesse and subtelty elevating the first game above average.

Ubisoft Montreal's game is a cornucopia of every idea and mechanic seen in the series, inspired by many other games of its ilk and reinforced by its splendid historical background, thus representing a strong step in the right direction. Still, it's an imperfect game, partially plagued by the simplicity of some of its parts and the underdevelopment of some systems.
