Arcana Heart 3 is not a game for everyone but it's certainly astonishing for every 2D fighting game fan out there. As always, super-sexy heroines are an appreciated touch, but the best addition to the series is the new Force Gauge system, providing deeper battles with AI players and your friends.

The Sims 3: Generations is an expansion in keeping with the spirit of the series: through a number of additions spread over the whole experience, it enriches its scope providing a lot of new things to see and do.

Touchgrind BMX is both frustrating for its unforgiving mechanics and rewarding when you finally get the tricks done right: in any case, it's definitely not the pick-up-and-play game you'd expect to find on an iPhone.

Explodemon! is a decent action platformer which bases its gameplay on the explosions and does it pretty well. Across three different planets you have to deal with a large number of enemies, but the funniest part is the puzzles you must solve in order to activate switches and doors. Too bad the boss fight are very repetitive and the graphics lack of originality.

A serious, committed and engaging adventure: A New Beginning is easily one of the best adventure of the year.

Child of Eden is a true successor to what REZ was a few years ago. If you don't mind its short longevity and you are up to the endless challenge given by upgrading your scores, you shouldn't really miss it. It's the best use you could make of your Kinect, too.

Ocarina of Time is still a masterpiece, even after all these years; and this 3DS remake is hands down the best version, with improved graphics and the smart use of the touch screen. The first real must-buy for the new Nintendo handheld, hands down.

The "horror road movie" of Suda and Mikami reveals itself as a shooter with a traditional core beneath a unique atmosphere. Stylish characters and funny churlish dialogues make this a game to remember, even if its gameplay doesn't represents anything memorable.

Frozen Synapse widens the concept of gaming turns and brings tactics so close to chess that players can easily become addicted or flee screaming.

Uber Racer 3D is a well done Motorstorm clone, with good graphics and a classic gameplay style, tipical of extreme racing games; some little problems on the physic engine don't compromise the fun.

MX Vs ATV Alive is not a bad game: it has good gameplay mechanics, good AI drivers and a discrete control system. But the serious lack of content, the lack of a true Career Mode, the repetitive progression of events and some technical issues drag it down.

The gameplay of Robo Surf is simple and intuitive, but unfortunately not so addictive, while the lack of variety and unlockable contents might discourage the player. Anyway, it's still a fun game and the cameos from Iji and Blueberry Garden are two nice touches.

Alice: Madness Returns is stylistically gorgeous, with its crazy characters and a great environmental design. It's a shame that everything is spoiled by huge technical issues, bad graphics and a great lack of variety.

Dungeon Siege III is a linear, solid good game when played in coop mode, but a little boring when played in single player mode.

World of Tanks combines RPG elements, strategy and deep tactics with a simple interface and addictive gameplay. The title still needs some balancing and fixes but it's a rising star in the online gaming world.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation is one of the best entries in the franchise but nowadays it's easy to notice how old some of its core features are if compared to the most recent installments of the Dragon Quest saga itself.

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise alternates between a unique art direction, full of great moments, to some technical flaws that are hard to swallow, especially considering that the game runs on a PlayStation 3. The very simple structure, which uses various tricks to break an otherwise absurd monotony (ten boss fights in a row?) should have been supported by a deeper gameplay and, furthermore, by better graphics.

The game expands one of the best fighting games ever, with a new balance and four new characters. That said, it remains a DLV dedicated to the biggest fans of the series.

After a false start, Hunted: The Demon's Forge delivers some good things along the way. The game let you choose which character you wish to play from a certain point on, though you can't switch from Caddoc to E'lara anytime. There are some nice fights, a lot of different enemies to deal with, large maps and generally good graphics. The single player campaign also lasts a solid 13 to 14 hours.

Velocispider is an excellent shooter for everyone, from enthusiasts to novices, thanks to some immediate, simple but yet extremely accurate controls. The game is packed with awesome pixel art graphics and great tunes. What a pity there are only twenty levels! Anyway, don't miss it.

Duke Nukem Forever delivers some intense FPS action and a solid gameplay, packed with a couple of funny variations. The graphics are a bit dated, especially the backgrounds, and the multiplayer modes are less than average, but the game is overall fun and entertaining.

Storm in a Teacup is a fresh, immediate, very well made platform game, with lots of levels and an interesting survival mode. The touch controls don't always work as they should, but in the end this is a great title if you like the genre.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions is a really good game and a great treat for the fans of the series; while it doesn't offer anything truly new, the DoA combat system and the high production values will please many 3DS players.

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is good, old-fashioned dungeon-crawling, with simple, solid gameplay and an excellent longevity. It is not perfect, but we are sure this game will make all the fans of the genre happy.

PixelJunk Shooter 2 is a very nice puzzle shooter, packed with stylish graphics and sounds. The game can be very frustrating at times, but also very rewarding.

Red Faction: Armageddon kills freedom in the name of action and brings back the serie into the dark and menacing caves of Mars. The result is an action title full of potential but punished by a poor level design.

Global Agenda is a good game, with some good ideas that may have been pushed harder by the development team to make it more than a simple hybrid. You will probably enjoy in the beginning and for some time, but the lack of original elements may lead you away from it quite soon.

Gears is a fun psychedelic puzzle game; it won't become a best seller, but lovers of the genre should buy it without hesitation.
