ShootMania Storm is fast, immediate and skill-based. The gameplay could appear too simple and poor for many players, but those who want to explore their skill limits have a nice place to do so.

Dead Take is a decent puzzle game, an enjoyable horror title, and an excellent narrative adventure that intrigues us with its characters, all perfectly portrayed in high-quality FMV sequences, and captivates us with a parable about the world of cinema and the pain felt by those who create art, which we all feed on, crying out for more and more, regardless of the cost to those behind the cameras. It's a shame that the puzzles don't hit the mark and that the horror sometimes takes the wrong direction, but considering that it only costs €14 and a few hours of our time, we suggest that anyone who is intrigued give it a try.

Fun, charming, brilliant in narrative and dialogues, Paper Mario Color Splash succeeds in telling a nice story with memorable characters, despite a combat system being only good and nothing more.

Overall, we decided to give Simon The Sorcerer Origins a high score because we genuinely enjoyed it — but rarely has it felt more important to properly contextualize what that number actually represents. We wanted to reward it as a clear signal to fans of LucasArts-style adventures and similar titles that this game was made specifically for them. It stays true to that vision to the point of making design choices that might not sit well with players who aren’t very familiar with the point-and-click genre. But Smallthing Studios clearly defined its audience, leaving no room for misunderstanding, and stripped away all the elements alien to the genre that other studios have added over the years in an attempt to attract people who barely know what an adventure game even is. It’s a radical choice, of course, and some may even see it as a flaw — fair enough. So make your own judgment, but hopefully our reasoning here is clear enough.

Replaced is a title that will inevitably divide opinion. On one hand, it boasts a staggering technical and artistic achievement that pushes pixel art into a new era through original, unprecedented, and extraordinary directorial choices. At the same time, one cannot overlook gameplay that feels unrefined at times, often reduced to the bare essentials in terms of interaction complexity, and further slowed down by clunky controls and combat that lacks the necessary depth. While we wouldn't blame those who choose to weigh these shortcomings heavily, we feel a duty to reward a production whose craftsmanship and aesthetic vision permeate every single frame. It is a visual journey that deserves to be experienced and one that raises the bar for indie quality, provided you are willing to accept its rough edges.

Highborn is an amazing turn-based strategy game, rich in humour and with a remarkable tactic depth. Players will be strongly challenged starting from the second mission already, and even the most ridiculous error can nullify the entire strategy. Actually, the game suffers from some major issues, as the Facebook-based multiplayer mode or the lack of an Undo button.

Tin Hearts is a puzzle game with fun brain teasers and cute tin soldiers that come to life in the attic of an expert toymaker. However, what emerges in the foreground is a sad story full of love, able to make up for the repetitiveness of the puzzles.

Demigod is surely fresh and innovative, but it's not a perfect game. All it's good ideas are tied up in a lot of minor flaws that keep the game out of the excellence. We are talking about a tiny single player mode, a various gameplay not always well devised and matchmaking a little bit broken.

Total War: Medieval 2 is undoubtedly a classic and is still able to offer an interesting experience, full of depth and facets. However the game is unplayable on smartphones due to the too small screen and turns out to be pleasant on tablets only, especially if you play it with a mouse and a keyboard.

The main problems of Midnight Fight Express are essentially two, namely that the goodness of the game system ends up being penalized by some design choices, which ruin some moments of the experience, and that the combat system in some situations does not seem to withstand the title ambitions.

Tales of Hearts R is a surprisingly good portable JRPG which delivers an interesting plot, an excellent combat system and sharp, colorful visuals. It's shorter than your usual Tales and the starting storyline and combat system are kind of a mess, but it gets deeper and unique as time goes by.

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is an interesting but imperfect experiment. What is more, the Nintendo Switch version is, at the time of writing, plagued by technical problems and bugs that can even prevent the conclusion of the game. The exceptional cast of voice actors, writers and musicians can not revive a product that is poorly amalgamated in its various components, and that is not always able to find original ideas in trite premises. There remains an excellent visual characterization of the characters, combined with some insights that would have shone strongly in a stronger and cohesive context. Try it again, Grace!

Even on the Wii, Ghostbusters is a solid action game: in particular, the developers did a good job creating visuals and controls specifically suited for Nintendo's hardware. Aside from a disappointing multiplayer mode, this is a game every Ghostbusters fan will enjoy.
