The abilities of your comrades adds a level of depth often missing from games of this nature and with a little experimentation can be quite rewarding.

The biggest change is the inclusion of the custom mode and as mentioned earlier I think this adds a great deal to the game.

As a whole, this game is a complete classic that never really seems to bore.

Aces of the Galaxy shines in the graphics and sound departments with solid game play that infuses the essence of classic space shooters.

Shift 2: Unleashed is a very good racer, one that walks a very fine line between simulated precision and arcade adrenaline, and while you'll enjoy the fantastic experience the game can offer you at times, you can't help but wonder that if by trying to do so much, the developers missed out on making anything truly outstanding.

I still feel that although enjoyable, the puzzles weren’t as fiendish as previous games and offered only a mild mental challenge. I also felt that the linearity of the levels lost some of the exploration elements found in previous titles especially as not once did I lose my bearings.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is not a game to fully understand, rather, just a game to play. It's got some weird themes, equally unusual characters but is vibrant and easy to get into.

An unusually un-hyped game, which is surprising because although being a little strange and different from the norm is actually a fun and well polished title.

Bionic Commando: Rearmed gives both old school fans and newcomers alike an arcade title worthy of spending 800 Microsoft points.

SSX On Tour is not for the feint hearted as there are plenty of challenges that range from very easy to extremely tough.

If like me you enjoy the feeling of scoring points then FIFA Street 2 can really bring out the competitive edge in you and is a fun yet sometimes frustrating game to play.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge isn't going to win any awards for originality or for its looks, but what it does provide is a welcome action adventure game that can be enjoyed by most gamers willing to overlook the somewhat dated presentation. The gameplay is solid and the characters likeable enough to encourage players to stick with it. If you're after a co-op or solo game that rests in the done to death fantasy realm, then you'd do well to have a look at Hunted as it's enjoyable and well worth the price of entry.

Fallout: New Vegas is more a step side-wards for the series, as opposed to a step forwards that some of us may have been expecting.

While Madden NFL Arcade gives little attention to the single player game types it is rooted in sharing the experience either locally or online. The gameplay is easy and fun enough to lure in the non-football gurus as well as the seasoned Madden veterans.

This has to be the best Real Time Strategy game available on the Xbox but considering what else is around, this is no hard feat to achieve, but in its defence, it will take some beating with such a great control interface and one that other companies will have to aim at to beat.

Sure, some of the new features are nice; the editing films feature is the best thing about this game. If you’ve only just recently gotten into skating games, then Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is worth checking out. However, for Tony Hawk’s veterans, it may be time to start looking elsewhere.

Surf’s Up could have been another crappy shovelware title based on yet another animated movie license. Instead it turned out to be one hell of a fun ride, albeit an extremely short one.

A pretty decent action game, featuring a sassy heroine, cool moves and powers make the action very hot indeed. The gore is suitably over the top but remains fun all the same.

Konami presented the XBLA with a fine turn-based RPG game that will have players testing out different strategies and exploring every nook and cranny on the battle field seeking plunder. While hardcore enthusiasts will find this a mediocre diversion, many gamers will find this a pleasant addition to their games library.

It's repetitive, yet quirky fun that's on offer in this latest LEGO Star Wars inspired title. The gameplay can prove rather addictive, and with co-op thrown in, it's perfect entertainment for the family, though the lack of online support certainly proves a hindrance.

Sonic fans will no doubt lap up the game and aim for top marks on all tracks, although it's safe to say some patience and learning is a must. For Kinect hungry gamers, there's something charming on offer, but you might not feel that right away as this is not the most pick up and play Kinect game available.

Snowboarding games on the Xbox 360 are few and far between, but Stoked seems like a solid one which hits a good balance between testing patience and fun.
