Headlander features some very inventive mechanics, with a satisfying metroidvania structure and a funny story; its fights aren't something to write home about though, and some puzzles are quite inscrutable resulting in a "click anywhere until you find something" routine.- MondoXbox

Scribblenauts meets the party games genre losing part of its DNA in the process. It's still a fun experience, but the series' core mechanics could have been better used.- MondoXbox

John Wick Hex tries to put us in the shoes of John Wick, but it succeeds partially in this: while the timeline-based gameplay is great to make us experience all the choices John faces every single second during a fight, we've got too few tactical options. The clunky animations don't help to reproduce the trademark fights choreographies, too.- MondoXbox

Redfall offers satisfying gameplay, with the classic flavor of Arkane games especially when played in co-op thanks to the synergy between the different heroes' powers, but overall it fails to fully convince due to a series of technical problems, dated game design, and an uncompelling plot. Still, it remains a good opportunity for intense online games among friends, hoping that future patches will solve at least part of the problems encountered.- MondoXbox

CoD: Modern Warfare brings back a very cinematic and thought-provoking campaign to the series coupled with a state-of-the-art engine, but it's in its multiplayer modes where it fails to convince due to balancing problems that end up encouraging campers and the removal of many small improvements the series had during the years. The co-op Specs Ops mode feels under-developed and too basic, too. All in all, the most disappointing episode in the series this gen.- MondoXbox

A solid arcade karting game, with an original and catchy point of view on the Formula One circus. Both kids and grown-up F1 fans will find it entertaining and funny.- MondoXbox

Etherborn offers us some very clever platform-puzzle mechanics with a good artistic design. It sometimes feels a bit more difficult and frustrating than it should be due to how the camera works, but it's definitely a game to consider for lovers of the genre.- MondoXbox

The Surge 2 brings us an improved combat system with a satisfying crafting and upgrading mechanic. Too bad such care wasn't given to graphics, art and storytelling, keeping it from reaching higher qualitative grounds.- MondoXbox

Tom Clancy's HAWX 2 looks like a soulless game: it's an ok flight combat sim, but it lacks a compelling story and missions.- MondoXbox

A real blast from a past, but it still manages to satisfy even today thanks to an entertaining gameplay and an high modes variety. Too bad for the complete lack of online multiplayer: it would have been a perfect fit.- MondoXbox

A satisfying arcade off-road racer, with great graphics but with a not so good frame-rate stability. Its main single-player mode, Off-Road Masters, lacks a bit of spark and longevity, while the multiplayer mode looks too basic and scarcely populated, with long matchmaking times.- MondoXbox

Darkwood offers a scary and thrilling experience, mainly thanks to a very good sound design and an oppressive top-down world. Where if fails, though, is in a slow and intricate gameplay, making part of the experience not so satisfying. It's, however, still an advised buy for lovers of horror survival experiences.- MondoXbox

A highly deep, varied and compelling survival game, but after two years in Game Preview this final version still feels like an early access game, with several technical problems and requesting gamers to pay for DLC even if it's now more than three times original price.- MondoXbox

Capcom finally brings to Xbox one of the best visual novels sagas of the past, with its brilliant dialogues and great characters. Unluckily, thought, it feels like a weak porting effort, especially due to the lack of foreign (Italian, in our case) localization, a very penalizing issue for a text-filled title like this one.- MondoXbox

REKT! High Octane Stunts is a cheap and immediate game, without much depth and variety but fun enough to work as a casual filler when we aren't in the mood for more demanding games.- MondoXbox

Good Portal-like puzzles and a nice sci-fi story make it an entertaining game for lovers of the genre. Too bad it's just single player, as its split screen visual would have been perfect for some local co-op puzzle solving action.- MondoXbox

An arena shooter heavily influenced by 8 and 16-bit era games like Super Mario Bros., Smash Bros. and Street Fighter. Frenzied and funny, it shines in local multiplayer while the single player campaign proved to be overly short.- MondoXbox

Destroy All Humans! brings the original Pandemic Studios game to Xbox One, with a surprising graphical remake but keeping the original design and gameplay with too little improvements. The game is still pretty much enjoyable, but it brings with it some old flaws we would have liked to see reworked.- MondoXbox

Steel Seed moves between highs and lows while still being enjoyable for its entire duration, shining in its settings and in the stealth and platforming phases, while the story and combat system are definitely improvable.
