It's not without its faults, but those faults are overshadowed by the quality. No matter what your heart desires (dishing and swishing, hacking and whacking, or posting and toasting) this game has it all.- Modojo

This really is a lovely game though, even if the journey is all too brief when you consider the $4.99 price-tag. If you're concerned that this modern re-imagining might not do the original experience justice, cast those concerns aside.- Modojo

If you don't mind stumping up for a comparatively steep unlimited lives unlock (and we really don't think you will, once you've sampled the delights of Letris 3), what you're left with is one of the most enjoyable word games you'll play all year.- Modojo

Call of Duty: Strike Team comes up short compared to its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts, but it's easily the best mobile release to date, and paves the way for even better ones down the line. Let the tour of Duty continue.- Modojo

Because of its high difficulty bar, Jet Car Stunts 2 certainly isn't for everyone. If you're a racing fan up for a real challenge though - or you don't mind spending a few hours perfecting runs on the trickiest levels - this one's well worth taking for a spin.- Modojo

Then we have the tilt controls, to which we say, don't bother. It was novel of Sony to attempt to implement Vita's gyroscope to transform the handheld into a steering wheel, but it's tough getting the hang of, if at all.- Modojo

For the most part it's very much a game you've played before, but it's also one of the most polished versions you can grab from the App Store. There are some neat upgrades to unlock and keep you plowing through the levels too, along with a neat destructive lightning power if you can keep chains of clusters dropping. In other words, it's a little bit moreish, it's very polished, and it will kill more hours than you think you have left to give to this particular type of game.- Modojo

N.Y.Zombies should be on your radar. While not perfect by any means, this cool and cheap shooter has enough action to keep zombie fanatics busy until the real undead apocalypse arrives.- Modojo

From where we stand, it's a smartly designed and at times uncomfortable video game that's definitely worth $0.99. If anything, it'll make you think twice about rubbing your eyes after touching a doorknob.- Modojo

Razor Run provides a fresh take on the endless runner genre by introducing fun space shooting elements. Its graphics are great and the gameplay works very well, and the freemium model is more than fair. Despite the small flaws - mainly with the upgrades menu - this Razor is sharp.- Modojo

A solid fighter, especially if you missed it last year. There was potential to make this the definitive version, but as it stands, it's another quality title for Sony's monster machine, and a worthwhile pick-up you should play.- Modojo

It all comes down to how much you enjoy these types of apps, and whether you dream of owning an airport. If either sound appealing, Airport City HD will definitely keep you entertained. For how long will probably depend on how much money you feel the game is worth.- Modojo

We just wish it were a bit deeper. Although blood flows freely, you cannot perform finishing moves to lop off limbs. On top of that, there's no story to speak of.- Modojo

Fans of Spacetime Studios' previous mobile games won't need any convincing to pick up this latest epic cooperative RPG, and they can rest assured that Arcane Legends packs in all of the features they've come to expect. For everyone else, this represents the most accessible game from the studio to date, and you may find themselves drawn in far deeper than you'd have expected.- Modojo

Of course, the odds of accessing Wi-Fi at some point are pretty high, especially if you download games on a regular basis. That being the case, Nitro is a fun racer that'll hopefully continue to give throughout the year, so long as Z2Live pumps out free updates. Considering the best entries in this crowded genre, you shouldn't worry about more content.- Modojo

There are definitely niggles with the controls in the game, but I was won over by the blend of genres, the lovely retro artwork and the kind of chip-tunes that nag away in your brain, long after you've stopped playing.- Modojo

That said, Frontline Commando: D-Day still manages to stand out amongst the mobile game clutter because of its impressive visuals, overly dramatic music and non-stop action. Most importantly, it captures the spirit of World War II. This is one title we hope receives a flood of updates in the months ahead, but for now, it has a well-deserved place in our mobile game rotation.- Modojo

Visually, the game stands apart from its predecessors with sharp and colorful graphics that look phenomenal in high definition. Sega did excellent work bringing each stage to life, making them unique without tarnishing Sonic's legacy. It's a pure joy to watch.- Modojo

Blood Brothers 2 is a great strategy game. The artwork looks unique and there are a lot of interesting generals to assume the role of. The game is held back by an unforgiving stamina system and its need of a constant Internet connection, but don't let these issues prevent you from experiencing what is an otherwise quality effort.- Modojo

We've been fairly gushing in our appraisal of The Snowman and the Snowdog so far, and that's because it's injected us with a bit of genuine Christmas magic as we inch closer to the festive season. On the downside, it's a simplistic game that won't necessarily challenge or provide long-term entertainment and so is more of an interactive movie than a game.- Modojo

A highly enjoyable tactical espionage adventure that forces you to think in new and exciting ways. It's also a sweet puzzle game, a card-based strategy title that takes familiar (albeit stale) gameplay mechanics and breathes life into them.- Modojo

As a fun bit of throwaway gaming to keep you busy on the way to school or work, it's hard to pass up on The Impossible Line. It's not the most complex game in the world, but it also doesn't pretend to be either. It's a neat idea, executed well, and you'll find a large part of the game entirely free to enjoy.- Modojo
