Don't Get Wet is a simple to play, but difficult to master one touch game. It has a unique concept with the controlling of two characters, but it may turn some people off because of the difficulty of having to watch and react to two different sets of obstacles.

Platform Panic is a very fun and addictive platformer.

Looney Tunes Dash is another endless runner with little offer by way of originality or excitement. You could pick any title off the App Store that would do virtually the same type of thing, and you'd still benefit from it. The deceptive simpleness of gameplay lends itself to complex and difficult tracks that make a player feel accomplished. Unlike a majority of iOS games, stabbing your finger at the screen won't win this one. It will take practice and skill and that's a good thing.

Even though the game is short, at $.99 the purchase is definitely worth it. The premise is original and executed quite well. However, don't go into this expecting a ton of content, because the game is very short, and although it does have a bit of replayability, players can expect to drain it of content in 5 or 6 hours.

It was fun to the end, and the witty and darkly humorous story added an atmosphere that so many other puzzle games lack.

Vainglory is an excellent showcase of what can be done with iOS 8's Metal engine, and exemplary of MOBAs in general. It could even go toe to toe with PC releases. For that reason, it's certainly one free-to-play title that you'd do well to download.

Overall, Space Age is a beautiful and intelligent adventure with a few flaws that's still very much worth checking out, especially if you're hankering for some old-school pixel action or something decidedly familiar.

If you're looking for a pocket racer with nothing to worry about but going as fast as you can to rack up points and awesome times, Drift'n'Drive is an absolutely essential title. Pick it up for the quintessential bite-sized sports game, and you won't regret it.

Format release concerns aside, Dual Destinies is a smartly-crafted, fantastic-looking Phoenix Wright game that you'd do well to pick up, especially since the first episode is free.

Corpse Party is excellent all-around, despite dated visuals and a high price tag. If you're a fan of Japanese horror or visual novels (Saya no Uta comes to mind) you should find plenty to love here.

Pako is a unique and exciting car chase simulator that you'll pick up and play and forget to put down until you're proficient. Yes, it can be hard to get the hang of, and there simply isn't much to it, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a more addictive game out there right now -- of course, beyond the likes of Timberman.

WWE SuperCard is a fun and addicting game that is easy to pick up and play. It's so addictive that you can't play just one match, and you will want to keep playing until you find your favorite superstar(s). Hopefully, 2K Games releases a versus mode in a future update.

Although it's too familiar for its own good, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy is a fine conclusion for the series, at least for the time being. With a fresh story, solid presentation and plenty of puzzles and challenges, this is one mystery that doesn't wear out its welcome.

If you own a PS Vita, you owe it to yourself to get this game, especially if you like action RPGs.

For a wonderfully structured free-to-play endless runner, Moby's Revenge fares well in the final analysis. There are occasional glitches and gameplay issues to get over, but everything's good overall and this is a fun game for all ages to enjoy.

Razor Run provides a fresh take on the endless runner genre by introducing fun space shooting elements. Its graphics are great and the gameplay works very well, and the freemium model is more than fair. Despite the small flaws - mainly with the upgrades menu - this Razor is sharp.

You'll get quite a bit of gameplay from it for no charge whatsoever, and the additional boosters and other goodies might just encourage you to stick around a little longer.

Even with its short length, Can You Escape 2 has plenty of smarts going for it. The puzzle design is ingenious, the interface is easy to use, and the solutions will put a smile on your face. Not bad for a game that can be played without spending a cent.

Even taking those issues into account, KingHunt represents excellent value for money. It's clearly been a huge labor of love for all those involved, and it's about as good as we've come to expect from this niche genre of mobile gaming. Perhaps a future update will bring just a little more variety in combat.

Despite its repetitive nature and free-to-play purchase system, OMG: TD! Is nevertheless a great addition to the genre, and a fun time-waster to boot. It sure beats going to a second-rate toga party.

Doctor Who strikes a solid blow against the cynics who expect every film and TV tie-in to be a souless cash-grab. Instead, it's a very smart match-three game that offers up a surprising amount of content for a low price indeed.

If you don't mind stumping up for a comparatively steep unlimited lives unlock (and we really don't think you will, once you've sampled the delights of Letris 3), what you're left with is one of the most enjoyable word games you'll play all year.

If you love first-person shooters and don't mind the core simplicity at the game's heart, Neon Shadow is well worth taking a shot at.

Even if all the initially-exhilarating combat comes to feel a little repetitive after a while, there's no denying that Epoch 2 is one of the best cover-based shooters you can get for your phone or tablet.

In other words, there's much to be enjoyed in Don't Shoot Yourself - just don't expect a welcome mat when you first arrive.
