Dragon Quest Heroes II improves significantly on its predecessor. The changes introduced leave a satisfactory overall set and will give enough hours of play for its base content, multiplayer and post game.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is the best entry in the series yet... but again, it's not good enough. The open world feels great after the last (awful) campaign, and it has more content on offer than ever, but it forgets its roots and turns into a Far Cry wannabe. Also, it has graphical issues, repeats the same things all along and turns boring. We'll miss multiplayer.

Outlast 2 is pure narrative horror. Great atmosphere, storyline and enemies. Improves mechanics relative to the first game, but feels simple and too linear in some gameplay moments.

Dawn of War III is really a tryharder. While we are years away from the RTS' former glory, it can't be denied that the guys at Relic know how to manage themselves in the genre and bring us a game that truly delivers.

Addictive like old school arcades, its simple but fun gameplay will keep players retrying every time they die until they complete each mission. Graphics and music do their job and the result is an overall recommendable title without ambitions.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best possible entry of the most valuable game in the series. The game is solid in each of every aspect, making it one of the most perfect experience we've ever had in an arcade driving game. Portable mode looks awesome as the game is almost perfect.

A good collection at a good price. The Capcom of the 8-bit era was able to capture the charm of Disney, and the games are still fun to play. The overall package is cheerful, and the new features are welcome, providing a friendly entry point for the newcomers while offering an optimized experience for the long term fans.

The Signal from Tölva will appeal science fiction and robots lovers. Although they don't explain the plot well enough, you'll enjoy the gameplay engaging in battle robotic factions and exploring the planet. In addition, the graphic art of the title and sound effects will make us feel in Tölva, wanting to discover the origin of the mysterious sign that took us there in the first place.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series presents a very promising beginning in its first chapter: "Tangled in the Melancholy". The spirit of the saga's comics is very present and Telltale promises to make us enjoy this new adventure by joining Star Lord and the squad in their adventures in the galaxy, everything seasoned with an incredible soundtrack and a story that will surprise us.

Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom is a nice game. It's beautiful to watch and very fun to play. It has some technical issues and it's beginning is not the best and leaves players with more questions than answers, but overall it's an interesting experience with an amazing lore.

It could have more content, but for a remaster it's a good work. It offers 4 games in 1080p and 60fps so if you want to enter in the Kingdom Hearts world, here you have the perfect choice. If you already played them, there is not new stuff here.

This brand new version is undoubtedly the most recommended for everybody who wants to live an open world adventure in a LEGO environment. Playing in handheld mode is fun, but the frame rate problems are so heavy in certain moments.

Anachronistic both in a good and a bad way, Yooka-Laylee recaptures the charm of the 32-bit era collectathon platformers. It definitely is rough in some places, and the overall design would benefit from a little more polish, but it's also a love letter to a forgotten genre that sets a solid starting point for Playtonic Games.

Drawn to Death, David Jaffe's return, is a free-to-play game with the worse things of the genre and without the best (it isn't free!). Funny and original, with an unique art design, it deserves one chance, but you must know: it's simple, turns boring soon and it doesn't have enough content.

The Sexy Brutale is a nice piece of art. Its artistic values are great, with amazing visuals and sound, and the story is amazing and charming. It's an interesting evolution of traditional point'n'click adventures.

It's hard to think how Sony San Diego could improve this franchise inside the field, bragging with great animations and amazing IA behaviours, while there's still room to be better in some aspects of its great game modes, like lack of own identity in Road to the Show. Thanks to a great level of customization and difficulty, there's an MLB The Show 17 for every baseball fan.

PaperSeven, an independent English studio, debuts with Blackwood Crossing and presents a journey through an emotional and surreal family and brotherly history that will reach our hearts.

Snake Pass is a good game, but not one that we can recommend to everybody due to his particular controls. If you have patience, it's a unique take on the platformers genre but it could be more polished.

A really good stealth game, with a great design of levels and mechanics totally oriented to infiltration, although with an AI that affects the final result.

The Crow's Eye is a first person adventure of puzzles and platforms with psychological terror elements. Developed by the independent Spanish study: 3D2 Entertainment, we are transported to the mysterious University of Crowswood, where we break through a series of tests and discover an interesting and disturbing history.

Yo-kai Watch has improved almost everything from its predecessor, despite being very conservative in its mechanics and gameplay. However, the new additions and quantity of content turns out to be a more solid and better game.

Thimbleweed Park is a true love letter to the adventure game genre, developed by two geniuses who built up the genre back in the golden age of the point and click games. Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick give us one of the best adventure games of the last 20 years. Its clever puzzle design and gorgeous pixel art visuals, combined with over the average length delivers a really enjoyable game that brings back the best vibe of the classic Lucas games A truly modern classic and a masterpiece of the genre.

Rain World could have been one of the best independent titles of this year, but risky design choices have just backfired here, causing it to be a missed chance, no matter how good some of the ideas that it brings to the table.
