RARE built a pocket -but charismatic- paradise for the Nintendo DS with this new addition to the Viva Piñata series. Take care of some little paper-animals, cultivate flowers, and keep your garden tidy in this brilliant adaptation of the Xbox 360 game that also includes multiplayer options and a very colorful graphic engine that takes the DS to the limit. Play just five minutes and you’ll get lost; it’s incredibly fun.- Meristation

If you think that 5th Cell was a company with only one great idea (Drawn to Life), you’re wrong. Lock’s Quest is deep, funny, intelligent, complex, and is full of details that make the game awesome and highly recommendable. Its most important feature is the mix of two genres, RPG and strategy, in a way never seen before in a portable game. Also, the game is very funny and has a nice storyline, so don’t doubt: get it.- Meristation

Forget the PC version because this adaptation of the brilliant Spore isn’t at all on the same level as Will Wright’s new gem. Spore Creatures for the Nintendo DS uses basic gameplay based on doing missions related to finding various items and then using them to create a new monster in a nicely done monster editor. Anyway, the game isn’t bad for little kids.- Meristation

Facebreaker is an arcade boxing game with low aims, highly improvable playability, stylized graphics though lacking in personality and quite short in game modes. The most notable part is the ability to create our own boxer but due to the shortage of customization ends up by being all the same. Moreover, the small quantity of combos and available moves gives a sensation of complete recurrence even within the first few hours of play.- Meristation

A new JRPG for the Xbox 360, developed by Tri-Ace, nonetheless. You play as Capel, a musician that will end up fighting for the sake of the world, freeing the moon from those chains that bond it to the world. IU has fast real-time combats, a huge roster of characters, easy to play system, and a compelling story; but it can’t avoid the feeling that it’s just a test, a bit hurried and not completely finished.- Meristation

Life is pleasant in Pinata Island, and this time it’s even better. Rare took the garden-pinata-simulator and upgraded it at every possible level: better visuals, more creatures, a great coop mode, and several new features to decorate our place. With a much better tutorial at the beginning and the incredible Pinata Vision, Trouble in Paradise is the best simulator for Xbox 360, and everyone can enjoy it thanks to its simplicity.- Meristation

Mercenaries 2 states itself as a third person shooter with a heavy destructive component. Venezuela is the chosen scenario where each and every weapon available will be put to a test to destroy everything in our sight. Freedom of movement, driving and destroying is total. Despite the in-game missions and assignments become repetitive over time, the enjoyment the game provides is high. Technically a run-of-the-mill, has some memorable scenes nevertheless.- Meristation

As the third installment in the series, Penumbra: Requiem falls short when compared to its predecessors. Delivered as an expansion pack to Black Plague, developer Frictional Games introduced some notorious changes that generally don't fit too well. Despite some very good riddles to be solved, Requiem lacks of plot continuity and that special flavour that the originals had.- Meristation

The makers of Alien Hominid once again have taken a genre and have given it some fresh elements to create a game that feels unique and special. Four players on the screen, a plot that involves heroes and the rescue of various princesses, and a lot of funny moments are the ingredients of one of the best available games in the Xbox Live marketplace. If you are like us and you love the classic Beat’Em ups, you should really check out Castle Crashers.- Meristation

Galactic Adventures is the most welcomed kind of add-on a game like Spore can receive. The mission editor adds a very necessary deepness to the game, and is a inviting tool for everyone feeling creative. Those missions add a sense of variety and richness to the space phase, which results in a more interesting game.- Meristation

Long, engaging, interesting and really fun. With great visuals and an incredible sound, charming characters and an interesting gameplay, Tales of Vesperia is not just one of the best Tales of ever, but also one of Xbox 360's best RPGs yet.- Meristation

Justice is not the only thing that's absent from Disgaea 3, we also have a poor graphic engine that works perfectly combined with a gameplay style that offers hundreds of items, characters and options for their use in combat. It's a nice game, but it's a shame that Nippon Ichi didn't realize soon enough that this engine is not worth enough for the PS3.- Meristation

Inspired in one of the most beloved games produced in Spain, La Abadía del Crimen for Spectrum, The Abbey is a really good graphic adventure with great production values, excellent animation and a noteworthy sense of humour. It can be a bit short for the faster players, but the extras and quality of the content compensates for it.- Meristation

Treasure gives us exactly that, a treasure. It’s an improved version of the classic Bangai-O, originally released for the N64 and later ported to Sega Dreamcast. More than 200 levels are waiting for a solution, and believe us: this is not especially easy. Take weapons and become the new Bangai-O rider to complete one of the funniest DS games. Indeed, Spirits includes a great level editor.- Meristation

Hellboy critically hits himself with his large hand, in one of the worst videogames of the lasts months. An interesting visuals can be taken down by a poor storyline, with the help of a poor and repetitive combat system. Even if you are a total fan of Hellboy, it´s better to stay away from this title if you want to continue loving the character. Big deception for the new title of the big boy.- Meristation

Prizefighter is a decent boxing game, packing a good number of fighters, nice production values and some interesting features on the campaign mode. On the other hand, it lacks quality on the fights, an important feature that would have been better with some work. In the end, Prizefighter is a game for enthusiasts, but it would have been better with some effort.- Meristation

Looking at undoubtely the golden decade of arcades, SNK launches a bunch of their games. Some will makes us smile remembering, like the first Metal Slug, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, but some won't. Better online features would be welcomed, but anyways the overall feeling of this compilation isn't a bad one thanks to the versatility of genres.- Meristation

Another Naruto game brings us the possibility to enjoy a title launched on Japan a few years before. Without arriving to the Shippudden new Storyline, it packs 40 fighters in the well known 1vs1 combat, similar to its predecessors. Not a lot of surprises for Naruto fans, but a title that can enterteain either newbies or experts on the ninja franchise. Give it a try if you show a minimum interest for the Masashi Kishimoto character.- Meristation

Professor's Layton beloved formula's here, at last. Level 5 latest work is one of its greatests, with stunning graphics and a gameplay style based on puzzle-solving. It's a very good game, and despite being the first of a trilogy it's a worth-buying game, a console-selling blockbuster.- Meristation

Maybe not your average RTS, but Sins of a Solar Empire achieves something that other games don’t: it’s a compelling game, and from the moment you pick it up, you can’t avoid playing it until the end. With missions that last several days or weeks, users can exploit the deep gameplay thanks to its easy interface, in a very tactical game, but also really fun, both offline and online.- Meristation

Manhunt 2 has suffered many delays and lots of problems before release, but it´s finally here. A game that is not suitable for everyone, due to its gore and violent nature, but it has some charm for those PS2 users who are looking for something fun for their machine. Sadly, a confusing story and some problems like close combat controls make it not as good as it could have been. The lack of the Wii motion controls makes it a less compelling experience.- Meristation

We've been waiting too long for Dementium in Europe. After dealing with its American version, the only thing that we can tell is we're facing a very good game here, mixture of survival horror and shooter adventure. It's a good game if you don't mind its strange gameplay mechanic and the lame story that offers. At least you can enjoy with the superb graphics and its creepy atmosphere.- Meristation

This is the last entry of the original Phoenix Wright trilogy. It includes all-new runabouts that are set in the past and present of the ace attorney. The story is very well-driven, and it links every character in the game with each other, leading to a great conclusion. Sure, it's not the best DS game at a technical level, but it offers everything that we want in a Phoenix Wright game: it's fun, big, interesting and charming.- Meristation
