Neversoft presents a new iteration of Guitar Hero with remarkable steps to innovate over the formula and adding new and interesting concepts. The new onlines modes are great, and being able to create and share your own tracks with the Studio mode has a lot of potential for the future. Too bad that the career mode is not very interesting.

GlaDOS is back in this XBLA game. Last year's greatest puzzle game is back with all of its basic features, but it adds 14 more chambers to extend the gameplay; they are more difficult than the story mode, but both together form an incredible title, an almost compulsory download for those who haven't played the game yet.

Molyneux invites us to the fantasy world of Albion. It's a beautiful story where we have all the freedom to live our live as we want. Good or evil? Hero or villain? Family head or silent assassins? It's all up to us. Excellent presentation, good graphics, great combat system and many surprises in one of the best games of this year.

One of Konami's biggest franchises is back on Nintendo DS with one of its best entries. A great game that offers amazing visuals and an incredible gameplay, several game modes and an adult story. The Castlevania series takes a step forward; Igarashi offers us one of the best games for the handheld, and one of the greatest Castlevania games.

Naruto's back and well, with same graphics and a gameplay system that uses the very same formula of its latest edition, improving the number of fighters and gaining balance between fighting styles. Though it's very much the same game once again, it will take you long to unblock all the new goodies that Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 offers.

Bioshock is a masterpiece and it has not lost its shine. It´s one of the most visually amazing games you can find in PS3, Rapture is still a breathtaking scenario, the combat mechanic is rich and demand the player to be creative and think on a tactical way instead of the usual mindless approach, and overall, is one of the most magnificent games you can add to your collection.

Spiderman is back with a completely new adventure that makes us forget the poorly done Friend or Foe, being closer to the fantastic Spider-Man 3. Web of Shadows has a lot of untapped potential, but it falls short for its technical problems and some bugs. However, it has a fantastic combat system and an impressive storyline.

Better than an excellent game, Far Cry 2 is an excellent idea of a game. Despite of its poor AI and repetitive mission design, Ubisoft's new proposal delivers a solid shooter in a beautifully rendered open-world environment that packs some fun for the not so demanding player. Although better than the previous installments in the series it just comes up short of its and ours expectations. Rental recommended.

Finally we see the critically acclaimed Square Enix's saga Star Ocean on PSP. Tri-ace succesfully recovers one of the best RPG's ever in an interstellar adventure where our main task is finding a cure to avoid Earth's destruction. The creators of Valkyrie Profile show us how a remake is meant to be done.

Eternal Sonata's very much the same game that we saw two years ago with a bunch of new goodies and an improved engine system that allowed tri-Crescendo to use once more its colourful world, loaded with strange characters and defying monsters. Its a worth-buying game if you don't have the X360 edition.

Rockstar invites us to the great city of Los Angeles. You are a newbie who tries to climb the ladder of success in the world of urban racing. Race against all kind of rivals, escape from police, and enjoy the many modes available, both online and offline. The lower feature of the game is its huge difficulty, which affects the fun factor.

Dead Space is a pleasant surprise, it takes the best elements of classic terror sci-fi films and combines them with some of the most notorious ideas of games like Bioshock, Condemned, Resident Evil 4 or Doom 3. Instead of an improved but unoriginal copycat, the team managed to give this mix a distinctive personality, making it a great experience on its own.

Wii Music offers dozens of instruments and songs, but if you don't love playing music or have a great sense of rythm, it gets tiring after few hours. This title can't be considered a good videogame because it requires a lot of time and hard work to fully enjoy it. If you are able to pass all the lessons, you may have a great time with it, otherwise, we don't recommend it.

Egosoft's final installment in the X series, Terran Conflict, delivers a complete space action / RTS / simulator game with plenty of options to choose from and an undefined number of hours of entertainment ready for the gamer to discover. If he can bypass the initial avalanche of information, the still-not-perfect controls and the lack of spanish translation, that is.

Five months later, the port of the first six adventures of Sam & Max comes to Wii. Managed by the Wiimote pointer and without any visual improvement worth mentioning, it is still a good opportunity for those who was not able to play them already, as the port retaini the same comedy value and high quality.

This game is initially promising, stunning even. Graphics and animation are impressive, but looking beyond that, we find a game which lacks deepness. The main character doesn't have enough movements and feels limited, the camera management is poor and the graphical engine suffers and has imperfections that ruin the initial impressions of a game that could be way better.

SOCOM Confrontation was anticipated as the quintessential online game for PS3, but its both technical and playability flaws leave it well behind some other present titles that achieve better results in the most sections. SONY should not downgrade the quality of his renowned war saga with a product of such level.

The best soccer sim of this generation. The groundings of UEFA 08 have been optimized in each and every most important sections; visually impressive, with improved playability and faster controls response, which was the biggest flaw on previous installments until today. At first, you feel overwhelmed by so many changes: genre, visual style, characters... Then, you must learn how to play a difficult-to-play game, with so many things to have into account. But in the end, it can be a compelling experience, with its ups and lows. Interesting, but it needs a lot of practice.

A year after Crash of the Titans, Crash Bandicoot is back to the Nintendo DS. Last year's 3D adventure is over; now it's time of a classic 2D platforming game. Sadly, this title supposes a step back from Crash of the Titans, being too easy and too short to be enjoyable for most players.

2K Sports carefully crafted the best basketball game in recent times. It was difficult to improve last year's entry, but they worked hard and launched an even better game. Gameplay-wise, it's quite similar to 2K8, but now it's more fluid, more complex and with the new DNA feature, that lets you customize your players. Let the new season begin!
