Baldur's Gate 3 is an incredible game, full of player-driven choices and expressive combat that appeals to creativity. It is a deep, flexible and immersive title capable of telling a gripping story that invites replayability. Larian Studios has brought to life a proposal that everyone, even those responsible for the original two installments, can certainly enjoy.

Elden Ring feels like the natural evolution of a video game series that continues to reinvent itself after more than 13 years of its birth. FromSoftware is simply the best at what they do. While there are some technical issues and repetitive structures and creatures, Elden Ring is a cruelly wonderful piece of work and one of the best adventure games of recent years.

What does perfection really mean in a video game? Only a masterpiece can generate that series of questions and a debate around it. That ambitious experience that, in its search, goes for everything and beyond. For me, without a doubt, that represents a 10.

Persona 5 Royal improves the original absolutely in every respect. The new soundtrack is as amazing as ever, the bonus content offers a better ending than the original, and the combination of these elements builds an almost perfect game.

Continuous and perfectionist, all at the same time. Astro Bot is one of the best 3D platformers of recent years. Hopefully there will be a lot more of this franchise in development.

Metaphor has nothing to envy and establishes itself as a new IP with personality and clear ideas. It executes them throughout the game perfectly, even if the ending becomes a bit tedious due to the overwhelming amount of options regarding how we can spend our time in the game. The narrative is one of the game's strongest aspects, even outside of its genre, and the characters, with only a few exceptions, are all extremely detailed and well-developed.

All in all, God of War Ragnarok is a complete product and a true continuation of a game that was already almost perfect. Sony Santa Monica kept the aspects that put the original at the top and solved some of its problems, such as the level structure, the little variety of enemies and the lack of balance in the combat system. This is God of War at its highest level.

The Last of Us Part II is a third person action game, a survival horror, an immersive sim, a walking Simulator, and snippets of so many others, all at the same time. Without the immensity of an open world, it masterfully emulates the sense of freedom, and without the classic features of an RPG, it has allowed us to make the characters our own. Or rather, the other way around. It is an evolution for the genre in terms of technical aspects and an exercise in maturity in terms of how it deals with its themes. Despite some sloppiness, it holds the highest of standards and sets the mold for what should be the next generation of AAA games.

Valve has once again tried to revolutionize the gaming industry with a Half-Life game. With Alyx they've tackled the complicated realm of VR creating an experience miles ahead of anything available in this format. It's way more than just a spin off or an experiment from Valve, it's a game that can stand toe to toe with all the other chapters of this iconic saga. In a certain way, Valve finally gave us a third Half-Life game and it was worth the wait.

Hades is Supergiant Games’ latest production, and also their best to date. Young prince Zagreus attempts to escape from the underworld due to reasons we’ll slowly uncover as the plot evolves. He’ll be aided by the Gods of Olympus, but only our own skill will decide if we came out victorious or if we die trying, returning home to start all over again. An action Roguelike perfectly designed like no other.

Once again, Capcom leaves us speechless. We are only in the middle of March and this Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games of the year, along with the Dead Space remake. We are facing an immense proposal, with an amazing cost and production design, which is reflected in every aspect of the game. The direction is incredible, the design is incredible.

The sum of all the elements that make up the game create a captivating game in every sense. The title not only plays very well but also has a story to tell and memorable characters that we won't soon forget. Throughout the experience, there are fun moments, dramatic moments, mind-blowing combats, and, above all, a game full of heart. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 meets and exceeds every one of my expectations, making it one of my favorite games not only of the year, but in recent memory.

Shadow of the Erdtree is a great DLC that works really well as an epilogue to our story in Elden Ring. The RPG elements get lost since it's thought of as an endgame expansion but it still has everything that makes a great Fromsoftware experience. You will surely enjoy your time with this DLC.

Diablo IV is a social phenomenon and once again sets a new standard for the genre. It's a dark, spooky, action-packed experience. Combat is frantic, fluid and fun, while micro-management of resources and inventory feels better than ever before.

In all aspects, this is the best version of a Grand Strategy game, far exceeding the second installment and, as controversial as it sounds, becoming the best candidate for strategy GOTY this year. A large number of mods (more than 100) and the fact that the game is never the same, no matter the starting options we choose, plus a community that is constantly active, all of this makes this a game that I would recommend to any fan of strategy games and RPGs.

I wouldn't pigeonhole it into a single genre or define it in any particular way. I think it's more accurate to say that Donkey Kong Bananza has a life of its own and, as the second Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, it's an experience that everyone who buys the console should enjoy. The bar is set high for everything Nintendo releases from now on.

If Animal Crossing was always a very simple concept with very complex features, New Horizons is a toy hammer with the capacity to forge a universe, powered by each player's imagination. It's must-have game in the library of every Nintendo Switch user that perfectly exemplifies Nintendo's idiosyncrasy. Similar to a bonsai, It offers something that can be cared for and appreciated every single day.

As we get closer to the conclusion, Alan Wake 2 becomes more enthralling. The questions that we thought were solved come back to light and the connections with the studio's other titles become more than evident. In the last stretch, it's the combat that gets in the way of our desire to advance in the story, but even so, each battle against a boss has a twist to enjoy. The ending will make us want to play it again, this time with a new perspective, and knowing the outcome each text and intervention is more enjoyable. Remedy managed to outdo itself and, at the same time, set a new standard for the genre.

Day and night is the best way to define my experience with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC, compared to that of PlayStation 5. The version that Square Enix achieved for computers far exceeds that of consoles graphically and technically. It gives us a very wide range of options to modify our experience, and understands perfectly how to adapt it.
